Action-hunk Jason Statham Splashes Out $11.5 Million on Hollywood Hills Mansion

Action-hunk Jason Statham really does have it all right now…

Not only is he one of Hollywood’s more successful British stars with one of the sexiest women on the planet as his girlfriend - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. But Jason has just splashed out on a new luxury mansion – a home, I’d say that fits his tough-guy image perfectly!

The 43-year-old has reportedly splashed out $11.5 million on the Los Angeles home, which was previously owned by none other than Ben Stiller and his gorgeous wife, Christine Taylor.

The location, near to the famous Hollywood Bowl is said to have 10 bedrooms!! Now that’s a rather large love nest isn’t it?

Statham is no stranger to multi-million dollar homes though, the actor has a beachfront home in Malibu, which set him back around $10.6million, and earlier this year Jason and Rosie were in the process of having a home built in the Hollywood Hills.

It looks as if Jason is doing quite well for himself these days, what with the new house AND a planned Fish ‘n’ Chip shop in Santa Monica with fellow Brit Vinnie Jones opening early next year…

Keep up the good work Stath’s, oh and if one of those rooms were available, er, I’d happily stay over for a little holiday!

This is just what the West Coast of California needs…proper fish’n'chips served up by a couple of Brits. And who better to run a traditional ‘chippy’ than movie heartthrob Jason Statham and ex soccer bad boy Vinnie Jones…

And I’m told the duo plan to call their Los Angeles eatery, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Haddocks – and not Barrels as in their hit 1998 movie…

They might want to rethink that name however, as it could well see Guy Ritchie on the phone to his lawyers for a ‘slice’ of the, er… fish action!

The lads, who both live in Tinseltown, hope their chip-shop will be the best in town, catering for the growing army of expats in the seaside suburb, Santa Monica.

A friend of Vinnie’s told me: “Over a few drinks with Stath’ [Jason] recently they both thought there was a real need for a proper Chippy in LA, one that does traditional – good old fashion fish’n'chips, with vinegar, mushy peas, the lot!” Adding, “Vinnie has wanted to do this for sometime.”

I think this is a great idea, if there is one thing I miss about England it is proper fish’n'chips…

One person I know who will also be thrilled at the idea is Jason’s sexy girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the actress and model recently admitted in Maxim magazine that she was a total junk-food junkie… And though some might not consider fish’n'chips as junk food, I reckon it’s one of the greasiest dishes I know… But with salt and a dash of vinegar the taste is heaven!

Everyone’s been wondering what happened between Vinnie Jones and Kick Ass actor, Tamer Hassan to spark that brawl outside the Chateau Marmont a couple of weeks ago, and now I think I can reveal the reason – old fashioned jealousy, perhaps?!

Check out this pic of Tamer ‘the hammer’ Hassan taken for Cosmopolitan magazine’s naked shoot, which is done to raise awareness of testicular cancer.

I think you’ll agree that Tamer’s looking buff (in the buff) and there’s plenty for Vinnie to be envious of!

Vinnie Got Hammered… Or Should I say Tamer’ed

The usual excuse is ‘artistic differences’ but actors Vinnie Jones and Tamer Hassan can’t use that one if their new film goes down the pan.

Tamer gave Vinnie a pasting during a fight at Chateau Marmont on Saturday night and now the movie they’re both signed up for, Blood Out,, is looking dicey.

Apparently the pair is refusing to work together, but neither will back out of the film either.

Filming is due to start on Friday so movie execs have been holding crisis talks to try and get them to sort it out.

A source told The Mirror, “Both men are integral to the movie, though, so executives are pulling their hair out, trying to come up with a solution.

“At present, they have rearranged two days of filming, and postponed shooting the opening scenes where Vinnie and Tamer have lines together.

“They are also offering to further separate the pair’s on-set trailers to ensure they are kept at opposite ends of the park.”

Good God lads, get a grip. Maybe we should just organise another fight behind the bike sheds and whoever wins gets to stay in the film, what do you say?

Hassan and Jones in Bar Brawl! – Titan: 1 Juggernaut: 0

Last night the prestigious Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood resembled a British Eastend pub, than a 5 star hotel, when a bar brawl broke out between Clash of the Titans actor Tamer Hassan, and former football player Vinnie Jones.

Multiple sources claim, Tamer had been enjoying an evening with the producer and director of his new movie Blood Out, that Vinnie has a supporting role in, when allegedly a ‘worse-for-wear’ Jones approached Hassan’s table ranting and raving.

At that point witnesses say Vinnie, who starred in X-Men: The Last Stand, asked Hassan, “Are we ok?” then ‘the god of war’ – Hassan, offered peace to Jones via a handshake saying “Yes, Vinnie we’re fine, there’s no problem.”

An onlooker said, “Jones, then allegedly pushed Hassan’s hand away, as if refusing the peace offering.

I’m told Hassan, was clearly displaying a sense of embarrassment at this point and suggested to ‘Juggernaut’ Jones that they both discuss any problems away from their work colleagues.

One well placed source told me: “At around 10.30pm a fight broke out between the them. Then shortly after they left the table there was lots of pushing and shoving before “fists were flying.”

It’s unclear as to why, but my source indicated that Jones may have provoked the altercation by allegedly placing his hand on Hassan’s jaw.

A close friend of Hassan’s told me; there had been an ongoing feud between Hassan and Jones that erupted around last December.

The two boys are due to come face to face once more on set of Blood Out in Louisiana next week.

I look forward to hearing all the gossip and goings on when that happens… Oh to be doing the make-up on that set, eh?!

Lips Ahoy! Katie Price Parties With Her New Face in LA…

With so many Brits running around Hollywood right now, some haven’t got a hope in hell of getting noticed, but others – like Katie Price – just can’t avoid the paparazzi scrum.

I like Katie… No, I really I do! But sometimes I think that the little miss needs a lesson (or two) in social etiquette.

I bumped into her at the Château Marmont the other night as she dined with soccer hardman turned actor, Vinnie Jones, and his wife Tanya.

Was it really only a year ago I hung out with Katie and her ex-hubby Peter Andre at Elton John’s Oscar bash? My how time flies. Look how much has changed in her life, a new husband and um, her very pouty new lips. At least that’s how they looked to me, those beauties appeared even bigger and better than the last pair she had!

All seemed well, though KP did come across rather nervous about the amount of dodgy British journalists loitering around her table desperate to fill their columns back in the UK (er, but not of me of course, eh Kate?)

After Katie broke the ice with a warm: “Hi Sean, how are you?” I looked over and replied with a genuine comment on how good she looked, though I couldn’t help wondering if she truly believed me, as she just stared back at me with a vacant look.

Is she that insecure? Or is it that she has the attention span of a goldfish? Anyway, Pricey was far more concerned about texting from her Blackberry than chatting to her dinner guests. At one point Vinnie [Jones] even looked over and shouted: “Oi, who you texting now?” and Katie replied: “I’m texting Alex [Reid]!”

OK, so it all makes sense now, there was me thinking Katie was on some self-promotional trip to LA LA land yet again, but now I hear she followed her new husband Alex Reid over here, probably to keep an eye on him. Reid is currently in Southern California filming scenes for his new reality martial arts TV show.

Katie, codependency is a word widely used here in Hollywood, look it up, don’t fall into the habit of being too into your man… or your lips for that matter love!

Vinnie’s Mini Roughneck Role…

What a shocker! Roughneck hardman Vinnie Jones has landed a ‘little’ part on US telly playing, er… wait for it… a roughneck hardman.

Well what else did you expect!

I’m hear the ex-footballer stars in an upcoming episode of NBC’s Chuck in which viewers will see him appearing as a hitman who takes a beautiful cop hostage. Quality casting!

But seriously at least someone has given Jonesy a job, I was starting to think his career might be going down the pan after hearing he decided to take part in Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, where fellow contestants have already suspected him of stealing the corned beef (such dramz).

I am not saying Vin’s hard up for cash or anything, but one certainly wonders why on earth he agreed to take part in such low-rent TV especially after appearing in hit Hollywood movies such as X-Men 3.

Vinnie’s character in Chuck is described as devoid of all emotion apart from his love life.

A case of life imitating art perhaps, eh Vinnie?

Guy’s Dolls!

A little dickie tells me Guy Ritchie is considering his next movie move, and it’s not what you’d think.

The director, who is most famous for his hardman gangster flicks is thinking about making a new big-screen adaptation of the classic musical Guys and Dolls, which is er, basically gangsters wearing jazz shoes…

If true (and my souces are pretty good) it begs certain questions, like I wonder what his ex-missus will have to say about this, as music’s her department, and who would Guy cast in the lead roles?

Well you all know what a big Jason Statham fan I am, and Guy has always been one for putting his mates in his movies, well from what I hearing Jase Stath has long fancied himself as a bit of a ‘Sinatra-style’ crooner. If there’s ever been a man with the swagger to bring back the pearly king for 2010, it’s surley got to be uber-man Statham, he’s Tommy Steele on viagra, so playing the all singing and dancing gangster might be right up his (ahem) alley.

Then there’s Vinnie Jones, he might well like a stripy suit in real life, but could I really see him shuffle-ball-changing across a sound stage…? Erm maybe not!

As for Ewan McGregor he is the likeliest candidate to take a part if offered. McGregor trod on the boards back in 2005 playing dashing gambler Sky Masterson in London’s West End to rave reviews, his A-list pedigree would certianly be what’s needed to carry such a movie.

I can’t wait to see Ritchie’s upcoming film, Sherlock Holmes, which stars Robert Downey Jr doing his usual wry, wisecracking schtick as the title character, and Jude Law as his sidekick Watson, I saw the trailer the just recently and I have to say it looks brilliant. It’s an egregious twist for her but now Guy is finally out of Madonna’s spotlight it looks as if he is on course for a massive blockbuster…

I really hope Ritchie can pull this one off, after all Chicago did wonders for its director Rob Marshall, not to mention the career of Catherine Zeta Jones, Rene Zellweger and Richard Gere, although I can’t quite imagine how Guy’s favoured cockney accents, slow-mo fight scenes and action editing techniques will work in a musical. But ‘ang abaaat maybe that’s just what this musical needs…

Oh well, at least now he’s back on the market he won’t be forced into casting a certain someone as Miss Adelaide!
