Tom Hardy Becomes Real-Life Superhero in Hollywood-Style Chase!

Posted on April 26th, 2017 at 6:44 am by

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…Tom Hardy?

This weekend, witnesses claimed to have seen British star Hardy chase down two teenagers who were running away from a crash scene involving a stolen motorcycle. Oo-er!

According to witnesses, Tom “switched into superhero mode” and ran through gardens chasing after the motorcycle driver. “Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious,” a witness told The Sun after seeing the teenagers run a red light and crash into a $50,000 Mercedes.

According to the witness, once the pursuit came to a halt, Tom said, “I caught the c–t.” Tom later yelled, “This little s–t nicked something and now he’s got himself a broken leg.”

Scotland Yard did not mention Tom or a chase, but in a statement Tuesday, a spokesperson confirmed that “the rider of the motorcycle was detained by a member of the public in Church Road and then arrested by officers on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and being disqualified from driving.” The other boy was detained nearby by the police.

The two 16-year olds not only suffered injuries, but were also arrested. They have since been released.

Tom, a movie star known for his roles in action films like Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant and The Dark Knight Rises, has yet to comment on the Hollywood-style chase.

Fifty Shades Actor Jamie Dornan Eyes James Bond Role!

Posted on January 25th, 2017 at 7:10 am by

It seems that every actor in the Western Hemisphere is panting to be the next James Bond. But there’s one actor apparently more desperate than the rest… Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan.

According to The Sun, the “Anthropoid” star – Jamie made the playful comment about the coveted role during a unique interaction with Q Radio breakfast host Stephen Clements.

Clements had penned a version of rapper Eminem’s Stan featuring the likes of Eamonn Holmes, Chipmunk and Arlene Foster in a bid to get Jamie’s attention. It worked!

The Irish actor was happy to respond as the challenge had been a tool for the pair to raise money for TinyLife charity.

Jamie – who is famous for playing Christian Grey – replied with his own rap verse as  he quipped: “Dear Stephen, I’m sorry it took me so long to respond – I’ve been running around the world trying to convince people I’m James Bond.”

The search for the next Bond began after the current James Bond, Daniel Craig, has refused to contact the studios to confirm — or deny — his participation in the next film. This stalemate has forced the studios to look for a replacement.

There are various actors being screened tested and the race is on to choose the one best to portray the famous spy. Actors like Idris Alba, Aidan Turner, Jack Hutson, Tom Hardy, James Nortton, Tom Hiddleston, and Ryan Gosling.

Producer Barbara Brocolli has conducted auditions for the role vacated by Craig. However, as of this time, the film outfit has not announced the lucky actor. There have been several actors who auditioned but all of them were turned down.

A source said: “Daniel and MGM are currently at a stalemate with him having not spoken to them about Bond.

“They have offered a bigger wage deal, and asked about his filming availability to his reps in 2017, but as of yet they have not spoken to Daniel.”

Meanwhile, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey – Fifty Shades Darker will be released in time for the Valentine’s Day, February 10. Trailers were released to tease the fans what is going to happen in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” There is a hint of a possible wedding and tragedy as the trailers show a stalking woman following Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel.

Tom Hardy “Damaged His Body” with Movie Workout Transformations!

Posted on January 19th, 2017 at 7:53 am by

British star Tom Hardy has described the aches and pains after roles such as Bane in ‘Dark Knight Rises‘, revealing that constantly changing his physique for films has really taken its toll. Oo-er!

Speaking to The Daily Beast, the ‘Mad Max actor said that his new mobster role might mean he’ll have to pack on the pounds, explaining: “It’s not the classic Al Capone that you necessarily envision with the silhouette.

“I don’t want to give too much away about it, but there’s definitely a transformation with that role.

“I don’t know if it’s as drastic as Bane. I’ve probably damaged my body too much. I’m only little. If I keep putting on weight I’ll collapse like a house of cards under too much pressure.”

Tom, who recently discussed his chances of playing James Bond, blamed the fluctuations between different weights for his new ‘aches and pains’.

He continued: “After the film I’m tired, and you maybe have to change your shape again and go back to your normal size for the next film. To go from one extreme to another has a cost.

And while the Londoner admits he got away with an extreme body-altering regime in his youth, he says it’s harder now he’s got ‘achier’.

“I’m certainly a bit achier than I used to be… I certainly have joints that click that probably shouldn’t click, you know what I mean?

He added: “As you get into your 40s you have to be more mindful of the rapid training, packing on a lot of weight and getting physical, and then not having enough time to keep training because you’re busy filming, so your body is swimming in two different directions at the same time.”

I would agree with that Tom, from one 40 (ahem) something year-old to another!

Tom Hardy Goes Shirtless in New Teaser for FX Mini-Series Taboo!

Posted on October 5th, 2016 at 8:34 am by

He almost caused the internet to nearly crash when he was pictured stripping naked to film scenes for the show in February. However, Tom Hardy is back with a vengeance!

Introducing his roguish character with potentially supernatural abilities, explorer James Keziah Delaney – an early-19th-century shipping heir who returns to London to take over his late father’s company after a long absence in Africa, during which he’s been presumed dead as well.

In a new official sneak-peak for the up-coming FX show Taboo produced with Oscar-nominated director Ridley Scott, the 38-year-old Mad Max: Fury Road actor is pictured wading shirtless through the foreboding waters of a swamp, showcasing his hulking physique and menacing character.

‘I have sworn to do very foolish things,’ Hardy says menacingly in the clip. It’s only twenty seconds, but it does show off the extreme body art of the notoriously intense actor. Also: diamonds. Also: plenty of gritty 19th-century atmosphere shots. (Or see here for a previous trailer.)

There’s no premiere date yet, but it should drop in early 2017, according to the promo. Until then, you can get your Hardy fix on Netflix with his portrayal of another brutal British gangster-type in Peaky Blinders.

Polly Hill, Controller of BBC Drama commissioning said in a statement: ‘The talent on-and off-screen is incredible and I am so excited to see Steve’s captivating scripts come to life.

‘Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast are set to bring this original and spectacular story to life in a unique and epic way.’

A release date has not been set for the series, but it is expected to air later this year on both BBC One and FX.

Tom Hardy Bins Phones Due to Phone Hacking Fears!

Posted on June 2nd, 2016 at 8:41 am by

British actor Tom Hardy has admitted his paranoia of being hacked means he is constantly changing his phone. Oo-er!

The star’s fondness of cybersecurity means he uses “burner” phones, which are cheap, pre-paid mobiles, which he then throws away.

And to combat email security issues, he uses “private offline servers” that also protect family photo albums and movie scripts.

“We get hacked all the time,” the Dark Knight Rises star said.

“People go on to messengers and try to set up accounts with profiles, or try to get into the phone itself, or they get hold of the number and they start fishing about, and my family as well, anyone I’m related to.

“You just have to bin and burn the phone and start again, we have to go through burners.

“We’re burning numbers left, right and centre.

“Everything just gets riddled – it’s my mum, my dad, everyone.”

Guess he’s not all that excited about the upcoming iPhone 7 release, then?

His worries come following the 2014 celebrity iCloud hack, dubbed The Fappening, that saw the release of intimate photographs from a number of stars, including Jennifer Lawrence.

The father-of-two added to the Standard: “I don’t touch iCloud, I’ve been advised not to by security specialists and analysts.

“I’m not knocking it but I was advised to avoid that and keep my stuff in a certain place, it’s actually a really negative aspect of doing my job.”

He continued: “I want to protect my children and that’s one level, but on another level for business – if you’re dealing with quite a considerable amount of investment in a franchise and you’re moving editorial, imagery and picture of stuff which hasn’t gone out yet, then you’ve got to protect that.”

A clever man indeed!

Tom Hiddleston: “Playing Bond Would Be An Extraordinary Opportunity”

Posted on March 8th, 2016 at 5:52 pm by

British star Tom Hiddleston has already impressed audiences with his turn as the devilish Loki in Marvel’s “Thor” and “Avengers” films, and the actor says he is willing to take up the role of James Bond too.

The actor has openly admitted he thinks playing James Bond in a future film “would be an extraordinary opportunity” for him… Er, yeah Tom, I’ll say!

Daniel Craig, who has starred in several 007 movies in recent years, including Spectre, Skyfall, Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale, currently portrays the fictional British Secret Service agent.

There are numerous actors being touted as perfect replacements for Craig when he retires from the role.

Hiddleston says he’s elated to be mentioned with peers like Idris Elba, Damian Lewis, Tom Hardy, Colin Firth, Aidan Turner and Michael Fassbender.

“Time magazine ran a poll and there were like, 100 actors on the list, including Angelina Jolie,” Hiddleston gushed to The Sunday Times.

“But yes, it’s nice to be included in the 100. I’m a huge fan of the series. We all went to see Spectre when we were shooting Skull Island in Hawaii. I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology.

“I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity.”

Hiddleston believes he’d fare well depicting 007 even though the action-intensive role is very physically challenging.

“I’m very aware of the physicality of the job,” he added.

Well, that sounds like a yes to us. And if anyone thinks that Hiddleston isn’t up for the job, rest assured it’s clear from that comment he knows what he’ll be getting himself into.

Hiddleston portrays a UK Special Air Service tracker in forthcoming action-adventure fantasy Kong: Skull Island.

Tom Hardy To Become Next Bond?

Posted on November 12th, 2015 at 1:32 pm by

Spectre starring Daniel Craig grossed a whooping 41.3 million pounds in the U.K. and 73 million dollars in the U.S. during its opening week last week and although Craig is reluctant in his interviews about doing another James Bond movie, The Mirror confirmed the producers are confident that Craig will agree to one more film. Phew!

“Spectre” is the Craig’s fourth movie as the 007 agent and although it failed to top the box office records of “Skyfall” during the opening week, the figures are still staggering, which delighted the producers according to Mirror.

On Friday, producer Michael G. Wilson confidently says that Craig will be doing a James Bond movie for the fifth time, saying, “We think we got him but we don’t have a contract.”

A source also told The Mirror that Craig isn’t going anywhere yet, “The directors know they would be daft to replace him at a stage where he is so popular. It’s almost certain he will do one more outing as Bond.”

“Then the search for a replacement will start. Daniel has always made it quite clear that he will available to play the role as long as he is required,” the source added. If Craig, indeed, agrees to do another Bond film, producers will have three more years to choose the next James Bond but as early as now, fans already have favorites including the “Mad Max: Fury Road” star Tom Hardy. Oo-er!

Last week, Time asked its readers to vote on which actor or actress they want to become the next James Bond. The polls revealed that the top choices are Idris Elba with 12.5 percent; Tom Hardy with 5.5. percent and Gerard Butler with 3.1 percent.

UnrealityTV, in its report, said that although Elba consistently tops the polls for the next James Bond, Hardy is the “most exciting” choice and with him on board, the franchise’s female fan base would certainly increase. Highsnobeity added that “there isn’t a better chameleon” than Tom Hardy in the James Bond race given his varied roled in Batman, Peaky Blinders, Bronson, Warrior, and Mad Max.

Hardy, with all his portrayals, is proven to be quite comfortable in stepping into titular character shoes.

Last September, BoyleSports (via Entertainment Weekly), an Ireland-based online betting firm, revealed that Tom Hardy is the odds-on favorite to succeed Daniel Craig with odds at 2/1, followed by Idris Elba at 3/1, Damian Lewis at 7/2 and Henry Cavill at 4/1.

I like the idea of Tom… But Daniel darling, you cannot quit… One more please!!

Daniel Craig Doesn’t Care Who Replaces Him as 007!

Posted on October 7th, 2015 at 8:03 am by

Let’s be clear: Daniel Craig hasn’t hung up his boots just yet. But in a recent interview he was happy to embrace the topic. Does he care who plays Bond next? ‘

The heartthrob Brit has admitted that he actually  doesn’t care who replaces him as James Bond 007, and calls for an end to the debate. Oo-er!

It is widely speculated that Craig is to be stepping down from the franchise after Spectre, though he didn’t mention any of the actors who have been tipped to take over, including Damian Lewis.

It is also rumored that British actor Idris Elba is to take over. If Elba is chosen then be the first black star to play Bond if given the part. And as for the rumors of Tom Hardy, I can’t see that one happening…

Craig did respond to the wild theory that David Beckham might be a future 007. “Good luck to him! If he doesn’t get that football team going in Miami, that’s probably a good idea!”

However, Craig says skin color should be irrelevant when casting the new 007. I definitely agree with that.

Daniel said: “The right person for the job should do the job, and I don’t give a f*** what color their skin is,” he tells Britain’s Culture magazine.

“It shouldn’t be an issue. We should have moved on.”

Craig’s latest film in the series, Spectre, sparked rumors that it would be his last, but the actor has hinted that his fifth 007 movie will be his last.

“I’ll keep going as long as I’m physically able,” he told Britain’s Event magazine.

“I’m contracted for one more – but I’m not going to make predictions.”

Craig first appeared as 007 in the 2006 movie Casino Royale.

Since then he has starred in three other films in the series with the latest, Spectre, to be released in U.S in November.

I cannot wait!!
