Louis Tomlinson Signs with Simon Cowell For First Solo Album!

Posted on June 8th, 2017 at 9:19 am by

Louis Tomlinson has signed an 18-month record contract with Simon Cowell, making him the ONLY One Direction star to remain loyal to the X Factor judge who found them fame in 2010. Oo-er!

‘I’m very happy to have signed. I’m excited to be continuing my relationship with Syco, and also working with the brilliant team at RCA in the US,’ said Tomlinson.

The singer released his debut solo single, Just Hold On, a collaboration with Steve Aoki, in December and launched the song on The X Factor with the help of the Simon.

‘I’ve been working really hard in the studio and can’t wait to show you what I’ve been writing.’

Speaking to The Sun, the 25-year-old added: ‘As always, I’d like to thank the fans for their unbelievable support.’

His One Direction bandmates – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne – all decided to sign contracts with other labels, with Payne to Capitol Records, Horan to Universal, Styles with Columbia, and ex-bandmate Zayn Malik signing to RCA Records.

Cowell had previously admitted he was expecting a phone call from the boys for help with their careers post-One Direction – only it never came.

‘I hear so many things now, which they’re doing, which I’m not involved with. It’s a bit like I’m getting the hint you don’t want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous,’ he said.

A label insider also added that it was ‘no secret Simon was upset when the other guys went to different labels but he has always been closest to Louis’.

‘They have worked together very closely in the past 18 months on various projects, so staying loyal was a no-brainer for him,’ they added.

Spice Reunion in Question as Mel C Allegedly Pulls Out!

Posted on April 28th, 2016 at 7:07 am by

Spice fans far and wide have been hoping The Spice Girls will get back together for their 20th anniversary.

But now it is suggested that there could be no hope for all five ladies appearing together as Mel C has reportedly dropped out of reunion plans.

An unnamed source told British newspaper The Sun: “Mel C is out of the reunion for now. She has essentially left the band to focus on a more serious music career.

“She loves the girls but it just didn’t feel right for her to reunite with them at the moment. She has other priorities and obviously it was a bit of a problem that Victoria made it clear she wasn’t going to be part of the reunion.

“Mel B and Geri in particular are still determined to mark their anniversary in some way. They are arranging a number of meetings which include the option for a tour, possible with just the three of them or with other singers.

“There have even been the suggestions of a Spice Girls talent show. It would be an absolute TV sensation. Could you imagine the opportunity for a member of the public to become a Spice Girl?”

Mel B has previously spoken about the possibility of a reunion, but preferred to stay coy until it was set in stone, despite hinting that something could be coming soon.

Speaking on the Allegedly podcast, the 40-year-old said: “I’ve been trying to get those bitches together for years. We are in talks with each other closely about this reunion, but until something’s official, there’s no point in saying anything. I do feel like it’s getting closer and closer.”

While the band was together, the Spice Girls sold more than 85 million records and their 2007 reunion tour raked in £107m in ticket sales and merchandise.

All five members released music as solo artists and went on to enter other avenues.

Mel C and Mel B both lent their musical skills to judging panels on talent shows with Chisholm now appearing on Asia’s Got Talent and Brown having worked on The X Factor UK and Australia, America’s Got Talent and landing the role of presenter of Lip Sync Battle UK.

Victoria Beckham has her own fashion house, Geri Halliwell (now Horner) has played judge on a number of shows like her bandmates and Emma Bunton is the host of two radio shows on Heart FM.

A representative for Mel C has been contacted for comment on the rumour that she has dropped out of reunion plans.

One Direction Is Snubbed At The 2016 Grammy Awards!

Posted on December 8th, 2015 at 8:05 am by

While the teen world is still trying to come to terms with the fact that British boyband One Direction are taking a hiatus which could last as long as two yearsthe hot pop-quartet have been hit by what many in the industry will consider a major blow to the final chapter of their career thus far. Oo-er!

After the Grammy nominations were announced on Monday it has come to light that 1D – Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson haven’t received even one nomination, despite being eligible.

They’re such a successful band worldwide, and have had an impressive career to date. So why has One Direction been snubbed?

Their hit album “Made in the A.M.” was not eligible for this year’s awards, being released after the Sept. 30 cut off date, but their previous album Four was expected to garner some nominations.

Similarly, single “Drag Me Down” was eligible for nominations too, so it’s a surprise that 1D weren’t nominated at all, considering their status as one of the most successful boy bands in the world right now.

As the band are going on hiatus, does this mean that they are now out of chances to win a Grammy? It would seem so.

Apparently I’m told but the Grammy office that “Made in the A.M.” will be eligible for next year’s nominations, but, as the band won’t be together at the time, will anyone consider them… seriously?

While I’m sure the members of 1D are slightly sad that they’re not starting their hiatus with a slew of award nominations, they’ve already had several successes in 2015.

Their first album post-Zayn Malik, Made In The A.M., sold over 400,000 copies in its first week sales in the U.S., and despite Malik announcing his own plans to release music, One Direction have largely held the spotlight.

The best thing everyone can do right now is remember most things made in Britain are build to last and hopefully the music U.S music industry will not lose sight of them during their hiatus.

When you look at it like that, One Direction join a group of prestigious VIPs who have also been snubbed, but that haven’t been made any less amazing by those snubs… Just saying’!

I wonder what Simon Cowell has to say about this…

Simon Cowell Worries Son Eric Will End Talking Dog!

Posted on July 30th, 2015 at 6:48 am by

X Factor mogul Simon Cowell is convinced his son Eric is spending so much time with his beloved Yorkshire Terrier pooches, Squiddly and Diddly and will probably end up barking before talking proper English… Oo-er!

Eric was born 18 months ago to Simon and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

The top telly show boss Simon, 55, said: “I have no idea what he is going to talk like, because his mum is American, I am English and a lot of the girls in my house are from the Phillipines.

“He spends most of his time with Squiddly and Diddly. He is going to end up barking.”

But he added: “I can really see me in him now.”

Simon is regularly seen with his two dogs and often brings them to filming sessions on ‘The X Factor’. Simon even admitted Eric’s first lesson will be about the importance of being kind to animals. Aww, how cute!

Simon will be back on telly next month in the UK for the new series of top telly talent show alongside pal Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 32.

But in major changes to the show, singer Rita Ora, 24, and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, 30, have both been hired to judge acts in place of Mel B, 40, and Louis Walsh, 62.

Can’t wait to hear if singer Raign is coming back… Oo-la-la!

X Factor’s Raign Had No Idea Cheryl Tweedy Didn’t Like Her!

Posted on October 9th, 2014 at 7:50 am by

X Factor singer Raign has opened up about her feud with former Girls Aloud loudmouth Cheryl Tweedy.

Despite being given a seat on the six-chair challenge, she missed out on the chance to go to Judges Houses with Simon Cowell after Cheryl persuaded him to let her go.

Cheryl made it clear on the show that she disliked eccentric Los Angeles based singer Raign throughout the show and even said to Simon: “I can’t stand her. I couldn’t work with her. There’s no way. I’m allergic to her.” Oo-er…

But Raign, real name Rachel Rabin said she was unaware that the singer didn’t like her. The Don’t Let Me Go singer, who was ousted by Cowell during the Bootcamp stage of the ITV show, admitted that she was unaware Geordie judge Cheryl had such a passionate dislike of her and only found out when she watched her auditions on TV.

She said to Digital Spy: “I literally watched that on the television with the rest of you. I had no idea.

“Obviously when you go on a show like this, you go out to be judged, and Cheryl is a judge. You have to prepare yourself in advance for the fact that not everyone can like what you do. And that’s fine.

“Cheryl’s comments – I only heard what she said directly after each performance.

“All the rest of it, I didn’t even know was happening until I saw it on TV.”

She added that Cheryl’s harsh views didn’t bother her.

“Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I went on the show to be judged. You just can’t take it personally. It’s her opinion,” she said. How dignified!

Raign was strongly rumored to be returning to the show as a one of its wildcard acts, though that’s not happening now leaving us all to wonder if Chezza was taking her hatred of back Raign a bit too far. Don’t let me go? I guess they did…

I’m not too surprised by Cheryl’s clenched fists and evil smirks, however… We are talking about the same girl who was arrested over an alleged racist assault in a nightclub calling a female lavatory attendant a ‘jigaboo’… Hmm, I rest my case!

Newly Reinstated X Factor Judge Cheryl Cole Eyes ‘Monster’ Hit!

Posted on March 13th, 2014 at 9:35 am by

Singer Cheryl Cole has secretly been locked away working on a new track with Eminem songwriter Jon Bellion, I can reveal…

It is thought he newly reinstated X Factor judge has recorded a hip-hop track type track co-written by Bellion, who recently helped pen Eminem and Rihanna collaboration ‘The Monster’.

Producer Jesse Shatkin confirmed the studio hook-up during an interview with MuuMuse and also revealed that Cheryl has worked on a new ballad.

“It’s strong, it’s powerful and really from the heart. She loved it,” he said. “She sounds awesome.”

Shatkin has cut several songs for Cheryl’s upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.

Cheryl was forced to shelve the third single from the record to commit to the Girls Aloud 10th anniversary reunion before taking a break from music when the band split.

She said: “I just took this time and partied and have just been me and normal for the past six months.

“Then I started recording the new album and that’s almost done. There’s no delay on the album. I’ve got things in the pipeline.”

Meanwhile, Cheryl joked that one of the reasons she decided to return to the UK version of X Factor is because there was only so much “begging” she could take from Simon Cowell.

She giggled: “There’s only so much begging one can take. It’s not nice to see a grown man cry, so I finally succumbed.”

Oo-er… Simon Cowell, desperate? I doubt that very much!!!

Oh No! The X Factor U.S is Ending After Three Seasons!

Posted on February 8th, 2014 at 9:24 am by

Oh no! The X Factor U.S is ending after three seasons. Poor Si’!

Fox and the show’s production companies announced Friday that the U.S. edition of the talent competition won’t be coming back this fall. Oo-er…

“X Factor” head judge and creator-executive producer Simon Cowell, will instead return to the U.K. version of “X Factor” later this year.

“I’ve had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on ‘The X Factor’ and ‘American Idol,’ ” Cowell said in a statement.

“And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public — most of the time!”

The acerbic judge initially predicted that “X Factor” would be a major hit before its 2011 debut, but the show never garnered stellar ratings, which continued to dip in last year’s third season.

“X Factor” also failed to produce a winner as successful as past “Idol” champions.

The show’s hosts and judging panel was revamped each season with Paul Abdul, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland among those joining Cowell on the panel.

All together now, Awww!
