Russell Brand is ‘Symphonized’!
Posted on February 21st, 2011 at 9:32 am by Nick Crew

Being ‘Symphonized’ is the recognition of all recognitions, and if that is true, then Russell Brand has well and truly hit to the big time in Hollywood. The British funnyman has been turned yellow for an appearance in The Simpsons and it looks as if the cartoon’s creators have got the character spot on!
The episode, which aired on America’s screens on yesterday, sees Brand appear along side Hollywood beauty Halle Berry, Curb Your Enthusiasm actor, JB Smoove and fellow Brit, Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.
Russell is said to be delighted with being asked to be in The Simpson’s and told The Sun newspaper, “Once you’ve gone yellow, you’ve made it. My ideal show would be where I have a cartoon relapse with Barney and Homer and get smashed out of my mind with them.”… Well, having seen the episode I can tell you it’s not quite along those lines. In fact it’s much more based around ”awards season” so then its no surprise to hear that Ricky Gervais also joins the cast for a second stint in the show. Can’t wait!
Katy Perry Simulates Sex with Simpsons Character!
Posted on December 6th, 2010 at 1:24 pm by

Singer Katy Perry recently appeared in a special Christmas episode of The Simpsons called “The Fright Before Christmas.” In the show, Russell Brand’s wife was featured alongside puppet versions of Simpsons characters in a rare live-action segment in which she sang a parody of The 39-Days of Christmas. Perry wore a red, low-cut, and skin-tight dress.
The singer’s scene did not become potentially inappropriate until the very end when the puppet version of Moe tried to jump up and kiss the singer on the lips. After failing, Moe said: “I’ll just kiss your belly button,” before pushing his face into her crotch. Katy replied: “That’s not my belly button” and as Moe pulled away, she added: “but I didn’t say stop!”
Katy’s sexual insinuation on The Simpsons has undoubtedly made her the Teenage Dream of millions of more boys who watched the episode, which I reckon was her exact intention.
Great Baubles! Katy Perry’s Getting Into the Christmas Spirit!
Posted on December 1st, 2010 at 10:31 am by

Ho! Ho! Ho! Is Christmas finally upon us or what?? Katy Perry certainly looked in the festive mood while rehearsing for the Live Grammy Nominations show in Los Angeles.
The sexy singer wore a sparkling fairy dress, equip with a christmassy bauble hat… She would look perfect on the top of anyone’s Christmas tree if you ask me. Russell Brand is one lucky guy getting to spend this time of year under the mistletoe with the 26 year old cracker.
Katy is definitely getting into the christmas spirit this year, as she is also starring in The Simpson’s live-action christmas special.
Homer and the gang will be in puppet form in a tongue in cheek dig at children’s show, Sesame Street, which in Katy was set to appear in earlier this year but was cut due to wearing a too reveal dress… Not that that has stopped Perry.
She has had an incredible year and may it continue for her in 2011… Oh, and please don’t stop wearing those revealing dresses, we love them!
DanRad Simpsonized Into RPattz!
Posted on October 10th, 2010 at 7:58 am by
Watch out RPattz, DanRad is coming to The Simpsons! The annual big celebrity cameo this year is none other than Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe.
A few years ago, Robert Pattinson was a virtual unknown, he had starred in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the Order of the Phoenix but not much else, and Daniel Radcliffe was the star. Then RPattz landed the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight films and became a Hollywood heartthrob overnight.
Radcliffe’s had a few good parts since too, but Pattinson’s acquired the kind of superstar status reminiscent of DiCaprio, and whatever Pattinson gets up to in his spare time, we get to read about it in the tabloids.
Now, DanRad has been given the chance to take a fun pop at RPatz in an upcoming episode of the Simpsons entitled, The Treehouse of Horror scheduled to air on November 7.
Radcliffe will also lend his voice to the character Edmund the vampire, a not-so-veiled reference to Pattinson’s alter-ego, Cullen.
Well, I suppose this is one way of getting back at your former Hogwart’s class cast mate; take the piss out of him publicly… I can’t wait!
Ricky Gervais to get Simpson-ized!
Posted on August 5th, 2010 at 10:44 am by
Comedic actor Ricky Gervais has agreed to lend his voice to the popular animated series The Simpsons to play a cartoon version of himself in an episode to air in early 2011. The guest star stint will be the comedian’s second on the programme, as he voiced a British office manager on an episode that aired in 2006, which he also helped develop.
Speaking with the website Chortle, Gervais said: “I recorded [the voiceover] last week. Didn’t mention it as I don’t like to show off. You know that. It’s a fun episode.” He added: “It’s weird that I can talk about popping up in The Simpsons so casually.”
Working on The Simpsons appears to have been a lifelong dream-come-true for Gervais, as he said: “When I first got into comedy someone asked what my ultimate ambition was. I said, ‘to get a joke on the The Simpsons.’ I have been a very lucky boy indeed.”
Not only has Ricky been able to “get a joke on The Simpsons,” but will have been featured on the series twice in addition to befriending the show’s creator Matt Groening along the way. Congratulations on achieving your greatest ambition Ricky… twice!
