Mel ‘B’ is For Baby Bump!

What a difference a week makes! After announcing she was three months pregnant last week, you couldn’t even tell but it seems Mel B is finally starting to show signs of a bump, as the former Spice Girl was out in Los Angeles last night for dinner with her husband Stephen Belafonte.
The 35-year-old star is obviously noticing the size increase more than anyone as she explained via for Twitter account; “Feel like my baby bump has a life of it’s own cos it doubles in size on a night time, seriously!”… Lets see what next week brings!
As for the pregnancy itself, Mel and Stephen are said to be over the moon. In an interview with Hello! Magazine, she said, “We’re really excited. We wouldn’t have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren’t really excited about it and ready for it. Even though you can never really be truly ready.”
There must be baby fever going around in Spice World, with Mel pregnant, that makes it three former members that are all up the buff at the same time. We all know Victoria is due in July and Baby Spice, Emma, is due in May…2011 certainly looks to be will be a spicy year!
The Union Jack’s Flying Half Mast At the Beckham Home!

I wonder what Gerri Halliwell’s Union Jack dress would make of all this, eh?
When the Los Angeles Times cornered David Beckham yesterday he expressed that he would very much like to become an American citizen.
The Soccer hunk told reporters: “Our boys go to school here. They’re happy here. As long as they continue to be happy here, and my wife’s happy here, then we plan on staying.”
This comes as no surprise, as many English folk who get a mere whiff of Tinseltown immediately want to grow roots here. This place is now teaming with Brits!
Let’s be clear… The Beckhams have top-notch neighbours in Beverly Hills. The temperature in LA, LA land is almost always perfect; the city is full of beautiful people and world-class cuisine. Mrs. Beckham has her budding fashion line; their kids love it. And while the paps may still get the odd money shot or two, the Beckhams have much more freedom here than the average Hollywood A-lister…
Who wouldn’t want to reside in California?!
Even though I reckon that little blue passport would fit rather nicely in David’s Gucci leather man-purse, the desire for permanent residency probably has more to do with Becks’ earning potential in the US. With an estimated $250 million salary and endorsement deals galore, I’d say this is what lures the ‘Brit-Family’ Beckham to LA’s sunny shores.
Well, I guess if you and the fam’ are set on staying David, then you’d better start learning the lyrics to Yankee Doodle Dandy, my boy!

Mrs.Becks Twitters Her Specs!

It’s Posh ‘n’ Specs!
Forget pricey ad campaigns, Victoria Beckham has it truly sussed…
I just looked at my Twitter page and noticed Mrs. Becks has found a very clever way of promoting her new sunglasses range without the use of expensive marketing and PR’s.
Victoria is married to the very man advertisers pay millions to. So what does she do? VB gets hubby David to pose, purley whites and all (probably in the comfort of their own home) in a pair of her Classic Aviator-style shades, then plasters the pic all over the internet for every tabloid to jump up on… And they will!
I can just hear Posh saying, “ere David, wear these for a minute, let me take a picture!” Not two minutes later the pic is posted on her Twitter page.
Such effective marketing, and not an airbrush in sight! In a few hours the world will have caught sight of her handy work, thus proving she’s actually quite an innovative businesswoman!
One has to hand it to Mrs. Beckham; you’ll only have to Google the story in a few hours and just about everyone in the media will have read or written about Victoria Beckham’s new sunglasses, and it’s all thanks to Twitter… Oh, and ‘that’ model, David Beckham, of course.
I’ve said it a million times; twitter will eventually see publicists out of work at this rate!
Posh aka Mrs. Balls of Steel!

The former Spice Girl known as ‘Posh’ has been dragged through the media mill recently and, I might add, unnecessarily so. As her husband stands accused of all sorts of bizarre goings on, which of course appear to be false, what does she do? Like any good troubled Brit’, Beckham carries on like a trouper. Gotta love this girl!
The couple recently began a $20 million lawsuit against U.S magazine In Touch Weekly and it’s publisher Bauer over a prostitute’s claims she had an affair with the star back in 2007.
In the forthcoming U.S. edition of Marie Claire magazine, Posh, now a successful fashion designer finally let’s the world know how much she still loves her soccer star hubby regardless of their ups and downs.
In the gushing interview she insists the couple are now ‘closer than ever.’
She said: “We are still so close, David and I. We were at a party the other day at my mom’s house and I was sitting on his lap. We’re very affectionate.
I looked at him and thought after being married for 11 years, we were the only couple who were even near each other at that party. We’re soulmates.”
I take my hat off to Posh, while David is nicknamed ‘Goldenballs’ in biz, in my opinion we should rename her Mrs. Balls of Steel!

Becks In The Bath With Another Dude…? Er, Don’t Get Excited It’s Just For Charity!

Do my eyes deceive me? Has Posh been at the cookie jar? Oh no, that’s not Vic-bore-ia in the bath with Becks, it’s funnyman James Cordon!
The odd couple lathered up for a Sport Relief sketch due to be aired on Friday night in the UK with James in character as Gavin and Stacey favourite Smithy.
Filmed a few weeks before Becks’ World Cup ending Achilles injury, the pair look quite at home among the foam together, although sadly the bubbles covered David’s modesty. And James was impressed.
He said: ‘I just wanted to lick him. Honestly, he was unbelievably nice. We went out for dinner, we went out, we socialised, we had a great time.’
‘The impact he has on everyone he meets is amazing. He was just lovely. I do feel like I sort of fell in love with him, genuinely.’
Watch out Posh – it looks like you’ve got some competition!
Hold The Front Page: Posh Chews (out Simon Cowell, that is)…

Victoria Beckham (or as I call her – Vic-bore-ria) made her anticipated guest appearance on American Idol last night and managed to hold her own against Simon Cowell – but critics weren’t impressed.
Posh was brought in as one of a few guest judges who filled Paula’s slot during the audition stages and actually contributed well to the panel, even giving Simon some stick at one point.
When Simon branded one performer’s audition ‘dull’ Victoria was quick to disagree, and then told Simon off for rolling his eyes.
She scolded him: “Why do you do that?’ He said: ‘Do what?’ She replied: ‘That thing where you roll your eyes. It takes so much nerve to stand there and do that.”
But fashion designer Posh’s appearance didn’t win her any fans and I’ve got to say I half agree. On the second day of auditions in Boston her navy dress was classy and her hair looked cute, but on day one, her dodgy lace headband was BIG fashion faux pas. And what’s with the overly made-up, tanorexic look? She made sun-worshipping Simon look pale and wan.
New York paper, The Village Voice, called her face “too crazy for the close-up” while the LA Times said her “gaunt appearance was so off-putting it might have cost her the slot DeGeneres eventually won”. Harsh, but her arms were so skinny you just wanted to force-feed her a burger.
Vickie B did, however, bond well with fellow female judge Kara DioGuardi and they both took a shine to one of the charming male auditionees and told another off for being rude.
They even had a laugh together when one hopeful identified Posh as “David Beckham’s wife”.
Kara giggled to Victoria: ‘That’s all you are honey, sorry’.
Needless to say, that auditionee received a resounding NO.
‘View’ Do You Think You Are Posh?

After showing off her new collection at the opening of New York fashion week, Victoria Beckham got to do something I reckon she loves doing even more, which is showing herself off, on US chat show - The View.
On the show Vic told how she was sick of being considered the ‘funny’ one in her marriage to David Beckham.
“Everybody says “David’s so handsome and she’s so funny” – I’m sick of being the funny one,” she said.
The 35 year-old singer turned fashionista is really stepping up her game these days and won adulation for a ‘masterful execution’ with her third dress collection, once again the media was unanimous in its praise for her stunning creations.
At her fashion show earlier this week Victoria proudly told reporters, “This is my third collection, and I wanted to push myself, but I also wanted to be respectful of my customer,” she said. “I want her to know she can rely on me.”
She added, “I know I used to be in a pop group and I’m married to a footballer– a very lovely footballer. But I’m grateful that people are prepared to leave their preconceptions at the door and let the dresses speak for themselves. The sell-through has been amazing.”
Well it has to be said, Victoria is certainly making her mark in the world of fashion, um… finally.. and even my east coast spies who know her well, personally informed me that “Posh rocked it this year!”
So I think it’s only fair that I too start leaving my preconceptions of the former Spice Girl at the door, we all have our bad hair days don’t we Posh, so it’s white flags at dawn dear, I forgive you for your moodiness… Finally!
