Peaches Geldof is Pregnant!

Socialite and part-time model Peaches Geldof has announced that she and fiancé Thomas Cohen are expecting their first child together.
The 22-year-old, who has been married once before to musician Max Drummey, got engagement to Cohen last month, after the pair had been dating for a year.
In a statement issued today, Peaches’ spokeswoman, who broke the news confirmed: “Peaches Geldof and her fiancé Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child.
“Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby’s arrival.”
Peaches, has grown up in the media spotlight has carved out a niche presenting a number of youth TV programmes including Peaches Geldof: Teenage Mind and A Beginner’s Guide To Islam.
Her father is musician Bob Geldof, while her mother, Big Breakfast presenter Paula Yates, died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000, at the age of 40.
I hope that this will see the end of young Geldof’s wild-child partying ways…For now at least!
Wild Child Peaches Geldof Blocks Ex-Wild Child Emma Ridley on Twitter!

It seems a bitter Twitter row has erupted between Ex-wild child Emma Ridley and Sir Bob Geldof’s wayward daughter Peaches over an open letter written by Ridley that appeared in The Sun newspaper over TWO years ago!
In the article published back in February 2009, Ridley simply gave her open, honest opinion to Geldof, ‘not to grow up too quickly.’
Good advice if you ask me, from someone who at the time, had ran off to Las Vegas to get married at the tender age of 15, only to divorce months later.
But now, after revelations of Geldof’s latest wild antics appeared in yesterday’s Sun, in which the party girl is alleged to have had a five in a bed orgy, Ridley’s article has resurfaced and caused quite the ‘tweet’ drama.
Earlier today Ridley innocently tweeted Geldof a link to the article as a friendly reminder to calm it down and for a bit of healthy advice. Now close sources say Ridley’s tweet has enraged young Peaches and she has since blocked Ridley from following her on Twitter… I wonder if she’d block me if I send her the same link?
Ridley responded, “@peaches_g blocked me after I posted my letter in the #thesunnewspaper. I guess some people just aren’t mature enough to handle the truth.”
It would seem it has taken 2 years for Peaches to react to the article; maybe she needs another 2 years for it to sink in.
Ridley was one of the most talk about celebrities’ back in the late 80′s, with a life not to dissimilar to the one Peaches is living now… So if anyone is qualified to give such advice based on her own past experiences, Ridley certainly knows what she is talking about. The former Royal Ballet school student also knew Geldof’s mother, the late Paula Yates, who died of a drug overdose back in 2000. Now a mother of three, Ridley has reinvented herself as a fitness guru and is living a healthily life in Hollywood.
A close source said: “The letter Emma wrote in the Sun wasn’t meant to offend, it was merely to give Peaches some friendly advice from someone who has had similar experiences.”
Adding: “blocking Emma on Twitter was very childish indeed and has us all believing that what we read about Peaches could well be true with that type of immature behavior.”
Peaches is yet to respond to Emma’s tweet, but it’s obvious that Ridley only had her best interests at heart…I know at 22 one thinks they know best, but sometimes a little sound advice from those in the know can’t hurt, and we’d hate to see history to repeat itself!
Busy Working Peaches?

Peaches Geldof has been joined at the lip to boyfriend Eli Roth recently but it seems even he has to work sometimes.
Meanwhile Peaches was left alone to soak up the sun by a pool in LA yesterday and work on her tan.
But she did look a wee bit pensive in the pics – maybe she was just killing time until Eli came to pick her up.
Peaches’ ‘careers’ as a DJ/writer/actress/model have stalled of late due to her being embroiled in tabloid scandal after scandal. Maybe just the thing she needs is some time alone to reflect on her next move!
Life’s Not So Peachy For Peaches!

Shamed it-girl Peaches Geldof has been axed by lingerie giants Ultimo after naked – and allegedly drugged up – pics of her appeared on the internet. Sensible move Michelle Mone! (Ultimo’s CEO)
Shots of her cavorting with a grotty-looking fellow known only as ‘thatscoolben’ (is it just me or does he look like Jeremy from Channel 4′s Peep Show?) after boozing and (according to Ben) taking heroin were all over the web this weekend, meaning Peaches was at the centre of yet another gossip scandal.
Reps for Geldof of course deny allegations of drug taking but yesterday her management was locked in talks to save her 100,000 a year contract with the brand, which er, failed. They axed her and pulled no punches in saying it was for setting a bad example.
In a statement they said: “We have been in meetings all morning with regards to the stories that have surfaced over the weekend about Peaches and unfortunately we have no option but to terminate her contract.
‘Miss Ultimo is a brand geared towards a young female audience and as a company we have a social responsibility to ensure we are promoting only positive role models that young women can aspire to.
‘We are in the process of removing Peaches from the website and we are working with Debenhams to remove her visuals form all Miss Ultimo shops and window displays throughout the UK.’
I’m not surprised the knicker folks are so angry. I mean, in the one picture she’s wearing underwear, it’s not even Ultimo… How verrrry dare she!
