Catherine ‘FashionZeta’ Jones Looks Stunning Back On Set in NY!
Posted on November 16th, 2011 at 8:30 am by Nick Crew

Think of Catherine Zeta Jones and one automatically visions a sexbomb brunette with trademark long, dark hair… A look she has fashioned for most of her public life.
Even back in her days as the ‘darling’ of Darling Buds of May, the actress sported the same ‘do, and that was over 20 years ago!
NEVERTHELESS, even though her looks have taken her to the dizzy heights of Hollywood superstardom, it’s never too late for a change it seems.
And if these latest pictures of Catherine are anything to go by, it would appear that the Michael Douglas‘ sultry wife has finally exchanged her famous locks for a trendier, shorter cut that is lighter in color!
The 42-year-old Welsh star showed off the new look while on the set of her new movie, Broken City, which is currently filming in New York.
Looking rather stylish, she stood in between takes wearing a burgundy coat with matching patterned skirt and black heels. Unlike her co-star Mark Wahlberg, however, who was dressed down looking far more casual in jeans, a sweater and raincoat.
Broken City will see Catherine back on our silver screens as the philandering wife of the New York City mayor, played by Russell Crowe… Quiet the cast, I say.
I shall have to keep an eye out for this one!
The Winners (and Losers) of the 2011 Golden Globe Awards!
Posted on January 16th, 2011 at 11:43 pm by

I thought the 2011 Golden Globes was a roaring success, hosted once again by Ricky Gervais, who kicked off the event with some great commentary on some of the more terrible nominees like The Tourist. However, this year the British funnyman barely managed to walk the fine line between some totally offensive jokes to laughworthy quips.
On top of that we were often left wondering why Gervais would inexplicably disappear for huge chunks of time, unlike in 2010 when his presence seemed to dominate the podium for most of the whole show.
Had Ricky seriously pi**ed somebody off this time around?! I think so…
Even my pal, CNN’s Piers Morgan tweeted curiously:“Gervais not seen for an hour now. #whatthehellhappened.” Followed up by: “Where is Ricky Gervais? Seriously.”
Perhaps it was this comment that might have him in hot water with some of Hollywood’s elite, when he said: “Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor - two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay, so the complete opposite of some famous scientologists then,” Gervais said before adding, “My lawyers helped me with the wording of that joke. They’re not here.”
You could hear the shock reaction pouring from the audience as they gasped at his slanderous humor. Gervais is a very funny guy indeed, but attacking religion or sexuality should never be up for laughs, I personally feel he went a bit too far this time. I had visions of the comedian being reprimanded backstage for his unwarranted remarks, at least that would explain his disappearing act!
After Gervais finally returned to our screens appearing slightly ‘subdued’ Piers continued his tweeting with, “Re Ricky “MIA” Gervais – blimey, hope this isn’t what they do to all Brits on TV in America. #bitesnails.” Well, let’s certainly hope not, eh Piers!
The big winner of the night was The Social Network, picking up four awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Score.
Glee stole the show on the TV side, taking home Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical, while Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer received best supporting actress and actor wins.
Robert De Niro accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement from Matt Damon for his performances in movies such as Taxi Driver, The Godfather, Part II and Goodfellas. The actor joked that his less noted films such as Frankenstein, Jacknife, and Little Fockers were missing from the presentation reel.
Michael Douglas looked well on the road to recovery and received a standing ovation as he took to the stage to present the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama.
Douglas, pictured (right) posing with his gorgeous wife Catherine Zeta Jones, and another happy couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, won huge laughs from the audience when he joked about his warm reception, he said: “There’s got to be an easier way to get a standing ovation.
Thank you all very much. I’m really very, very happy to be here tonight.”

Michael Douglas Attends Wall Street 2 Premiere, Despite Throat Cancer!
Posted on September 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm by
Only weeks after announcing his real-life battle with stage-four throat cancer, Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar in 1988 for his powerful portrayal of Gordon Gekko (the greedy insider trader) in the original Wall Street movie, did not let his ailments stop him from facing the press and the crowds at the recent premiere of the sequel Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
Accompanied by wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, a smiling Douglas joined co-stars Josh Brolin, Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Susan Surandon, and director Oliver Stone on the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.
Although Douglas did not give any interviews, his co-star LaBeouf, who plays Gekko’s potential son-in-law in the film, said of the star: ”Douglas is a legend. He’s the face they’ll paint on walls. He’s an American institution, as is Oliver. These are masters of craft and just to be around them you hope something rubs off on you. They’re incredible men, really.”
Lebeouf added: “I think the biggest thing I came away [with] from this is how great they are as men. I knew they were great artists but they’re good dudes.”
Regarding Douglas’s appearance at the premiere, speaking with ABCnews.com, director Stone stated: “[Douglas] doesn’t have to be [here,] he’s coming out because he wants to and he wants to help the film and he believes in it. People care about him. It’s hard. He’s courageous and I really admire him for it.”
Wall Street 2 opens in theaters across North America on Friday, September 24th, the day before Douglas’s 66th birthday and his wife’s 41st.
Our greatest sympathies are conveyed to Michael and his family during this challenging time. Get well soon Michael!
Michael Douglas will Lose Voice due to Throat Cancer?!?!
Posted on August 19th, 2010 at 5:10 pm by
Michael Douglas has been told by doctors that they expect him to fully recover from having throat cancer; however, the actor has also been warned that he may never be able to speak again if the first line of treatment does not work. Douglas’s diagnosis was only made known to the public recently. The 65-year-old is reportedly going to be treated with an aggressive combination of radiation and chemotherapy this week in New York, which, according to experts, is only done to patients with more advanced cancer.
If this therapy does not stop the disease, Douglas will most likely have to undergo surgery, including a partial or complete laryngectomy, that would leave him with a distorted voice or no voice at all. Referring to his fight against cancer, Douglas stated: “I am very optimistic.”
The actor has cancelled all work related commitments for the next two months, including any promotional activities for his upcoming film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which also features Shia LaBeouf, Charlie Sheen, Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, and was directed by Oliver Stone. Instead, Douglas will be spending more time with his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their two children.
Hopefully Michael will win his battle against cancer and be able to move on with his life without losing his voice.
CZJ Serenades Tony with A Little Night Music!
Posted on June 14th, 2010 at 3:38 pm by
In her Broadway debut role as Desiree in the recently revived musical A Little Night Music, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has won her first Tony award. When her name was called, the new bell of Broadway appeared genuinely shocked and honored to have won.
A Little Night Music follows the romantic endeavers of various couples in Sweden during the turn of the 20th century. This recent revival was scheduled to end its Broadway run later this month, but instead will continue after a three week hiatus with Bernadette Peters taking over for Zeta-Jones.
Upon accepting the award for Best Actress in a Musical the Chicago star said: “I really do feel like Cinderella!” CZJ thanked her parents who she said: “…came in all the way from Wales!” The triple-threat acknowledged her husband, Michael Douglas who was also present amongst the Radio City Music Hall audience, and said: “That man there who’s a movie star and I get to sleep with him every night! Thank you!”
Well from now on Catherine, you can sleep with Michael AND TONY every night. Congratulations!

She’s certainly back in the mainstream news once again and what a way to do it – strip for the cameras!
Stunning actress, Catherine Zeta Jones donned her best er, body suite, posing nude for the May issue of Allure... And how alluring she looks!
Catherine, 40, said of the sexy shoot: “That’s when your dancing days and being in theater pay off,”
“When you’re doing a quick change, you don’t give a shit who sees you.”
Phwoar… Michael must be loving this, the lucky chap!
The full ‘revealing’ interview featured in Allure magazine hits newsstands April 20.
CZJ and Kirk stand up for Cameron
Posted on April 8th, 2010 at 8:04 am by
Catherine Zeta Jones and father-in-law Kirk Douglas have written letters to Manhattan’s Federal Court to ask it to go easy on [Michael's son] Cameron Douglas when it comes to sentencing him next week.
Cameron is facing up to ten years in prison for dealing methamphetamine and has struggled with drug addiction for his entire adult life. He’s currently in prison awaiting sentencing and has been clean for 8 months.
In Catherine’s letter she wrote: “My stepson is a caring, considerate, worthy human being, but never the less, the disease, that for years he has tried to combat, did take over again. What is wrong, is wrong, but may all these positive attributes prevail, so that a facility that he is positioned in, will help rehabilitate him.”
93-year-old Kirk wrote that he made the trip from LA to New York to visit his grandson and has been taking responsibility for his actions.
He said: “He [Cameron] didn’t express any self-pity, nor did he ask for any. The only sorrow he expressed was for the trouble he had caused others. I’m convinced Cameron could be a fine actor… I hope I can see that happen before I die. I love Cameron.”
No letter from father Michael is included in the court record but he recently talked about his son’s drug addiction, calling it a ‘worst case scenario’ as well as alluding to the fact that he wasn’t there as much as he could have been in his sons’ life.
It’s a really sad situation. I hope Cameron gets the help he needs and manages to stay sober.
Catherine Dons Her Dancing Shoes!

Movie titan Michael Douglas has probably never lost himself in soul-searching reverie while listening to Beatles classic When I’m Sixty-Four; wondering as his 65th birthday looms if wife Catherine Zeta-Jones,39, will still be sending him a Valentine… because she’s more likely to choreograph a show-stopping routine than resort to Hallmark.
Yes, nothing says ‘I love you’ like donning a silver top hat and a thigh-skimming shift dress to reprise an Oscar-winning Chicago winning routine for your beloved’s AFI Achievement Award – and believe me, CZJ’s performance was ALL that jazz, as yours truly and the Culver City audience at the Sony Studios will attest to…
