Mel B looked sensational as she flashed her pins on the Broadway stage playing the part of Roxie Hart in Chicago.
The former Spice Girl amazed the audience with her skills performing in New York City as the murderous character in the popular gangster musical.
Wearing matching red lipstick and nail varnish for the role, the mother-of-three looked glam dancing in a bowler hat and cane, and an all-black stage outfit, finished off with fishnet tights and silver heels.
“If you’re into high heels, you want them the higher the better,” the X Factor judge said just before her debut as the American murderess, Hart.
After years of criticising others, she finds herself on stage. She seems unfazed, saying she made frequent visits to the recording studio in her Los Angeles home to prepare.
The singer and TV star shot to fame as part of the five-piece Spice Girls, known for its girl-power attitude thanks to songs like Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life. The group marked its 20th anniversary this year, which also happens to be the 20th anniversary of Chicago. But Mel B said none of the members managed to pull off a tour or an event to celebrate.
Mel B, who since the Spice Girls’ chart-topping exploits has become a sought-after TV judge, said she’s relishing the chance to play a jail inmate who kills her boyfriend and sings about her new-found celebrity.
This isn’t her first time on Broadway, however. Mel B received rave reviews playing Mimi in Rent back in 2005. But this time her task has Bob Fosse-inspired choreography, skimpy outfits and killer songs such as “Me and My Baby.”
“My nine-year-old said, ‘Why did you choose that part? It’s such a big part,”’ she said. “And I’m like, “Cause it’s good to challenge yourself.’ And then I’m thinking, ‘Why did I choose that one?”’
Mel made her debut in the award-winning show on December 28 and revealed her opening night performance broke box office records.
She wrote on Instagram: “Wanna say abig thank you for all your support for my opening night last night,we broke a box office record yiippeeee, come see it it’s such a great show if I may say so myself @chicagomusical #roxiehart #girlpower”.
The America’s Got Talent judge is keeping herself busy as she’s also set to appear in new episodes of Channel 5’s Lip Sync Battle UK alongside Professor Green.
She revealed she’s keen to work with the rapper on some new music – as well as the planned Spice Girl reunion.
Mel said: “We have spoken about working on some music together and it’s something we are going to work out.”
Love me a bit of Mel… Well done Scary, I am coming to you see you!

Ex-Spice Girls Singer Mel C was slammed by This Morning viewers earlier today as Spice Girl fans claimed she was putting on a ‘terrible posh accent’ and ‘forgotten her roots’.
The 42-year-old star is back with a new solo album and appeared on the ITV Daytime show to explain why she wasn’t joining the latest Spice Girl reunion. Oo-er!
Despite ITV’s Holly Willoughby practically begging Mel to return to the group, those who were watching at home were reacting to the Liverpudlian singer’s accent.
“How posh does Mel c sound? Lost her accent big style #thismorning,” said one viewer.
Another added that it was the “worst attempt at a posh accent” they’d ever heard.
Speaking about her return to music, Mel told Ben Shephard and Holly it was “exciting, daunting, tiring” and her new sound is “honest”.
Mel C said: “I’ve always been honest but as I got older I think I’m more courageous to delve a little bit more.
Holly then pleaded for her to join Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton for the Spice Girl reunion.
“Its really hard. I know people want it,” said Melanie. “There are various reasons. It was just bothering me. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle and you need all the peices.
Victoria Beckham is not joining the other girls for a reunion, and Mel added: “We’re not the same if we’re not all together.”
When Holly pressed for her to join the girls, she replied: “Yeah, that is not going to happen.”
Personally, I think she sounds as if she has just grown up, that’s all… And she is certainly NOT Posh!

Geri Horner (formerly Halliwell) AKA Ginger Spice says she quit because she wasn’t comfortable being part of the group any more.
Geri shocked fans in 1998 by walking off midway through their Spiceworld European Tour.
She now reveals: “There was a moment I decided to leave the band.
“I felt like it had grown into this huge monster, bigger than the individuals, bigger than the band itself.
“Obviously there was a bit of ruction in the band and I was like: ‘I just don’t want to do this any more.”
Another thing that pushed Geri, 44, to the edge was the girls – she admits they weren’t getting along.
She adds: “It was like: ‘You’re getting on my nerves and I don’t know how to talk this through, so I’m out of here.”
But the Watford-born lass now recognises she could have handled it better.
Geri says: “It was quite immature, looking back.”
Geri, Mel B and Emma Bunton have reunited and are expected to perform new material in London’s Hyde Park next July. Can’t wait for that!

I can believe that July 8th marked the 20th anniversary of the release of Spice Girls‘ breakout single “Wannabe,” … Whaaaaa?
And three-fifths of the iconic girl group (er, that’s three girls) reunited for a video Friday where they thanked fans for the decades of support. The minute-long video also hinted at a potential side project that would feature Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Mel “Scary Spice” B and Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell making music together again. Bring it on girls!
“We’ve been thinking, we have the best fans in the whole entire world,” Scary, Baby and Ginger said in the video. “You stood by us for 20 years and we want to say thank you. We’ve had our ups and downs, but you’ve always been there. And we want to celebrate and have a party – and when we do, you’re all invited.”
The video was unveiled on a new Spice Girls YouTube account – Spice Girls GEM – as well as a just-launched website that also boasts the GEM moniker, likely an acronym for Geri, Emma and Melanie.
Whatever the three members of the Spice Girls have planned – The Sun has a rundown of what potentially might happen – it likely won’t involve two members of the group, as Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham has maintained she’s left music to focus on fashion and Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm is reportedly working on her own solo album.
The five members of the Spice Girls last reunited in 2012 for the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.
I have to say it, I can’t wait to see the girls back on stage… Bring it on!

Wow, was it really that long ago? Next month, the Spice Girls‘ debut single “Wannabe” turns 20 years old.
But as rumors about an anniversary reunion tour continue to swirl, certain members of the all-girl singing group can’t seem to agree on a key point from Girl Power history: Was Victoria Beckham‘s (AKA Posh Spice) microphone switched on, or not?
Speaking at the Vogue 100 exhibition launch in London in May, Beckham is quoted as saying: “They used to turn it off and just let the others sing. I got the last laugh – and now my mic is well and truly on, finally.”
However, bandmate Mel B now suggests Beckham may have been joking, saying playfully: “She wishes it was turned off!” Oo-er!
Mel B added, more thoughtfully, during her interview on Entertainment Tonight: “We sung live, and we wrote and recorded all our music together live and we performed it live. It wasn’t turned down. Not that I know of. Maybe she secretly asked for that – I don’t know about that.”
One thing I know for sure is Beckham’s mic was definitely switched ON when she recorded the long lost solo album that leaked last week. I have inside info on this… Victoria Beckham CAN sing!
And I will definitely be a VIP guest at the 20th anniversary reunion tour, IF it actually happens… (Won’t I Mel B!!)

America’s Got Talent judge Mel B would love superstar singer Adele to join the Spice Girls for their reported upcoming anniversary tour.
Rumors have been rife for months that the hit girl group will be reuniting this year (16) to mark 20 years since the release of their debut single Wannabe.
It has been reported that Victoria Beckham and now Mel C, a.k.a Melanie Chisholm, had proved to be stumbling blocks in arranging a reunion, and Adele is said to have offered her services if the group need a replacement at any point.
Asked what she thought about the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer joining the Spice Girls during an interview on British television show Lorraine this week, Los Angeles based Mel laughed: “Oh Adele, that would be good! I love her! We all love her!”
Mel is currently in the U.K. to host the British LGBT Awards on Friday. After flying in on Tuesday (10May16) she was quick to meet up with former bandmates Emma Bunton and Geri Horner (nee Halliwell), and said the girls couldn’t help discuss plans for a reunion.
“I mean, we definitely want to do something,” Mel explained. “It’s a celebration of us still doing our thing 20 years on and still being supportive of each other, so we will see what happens. We are all just kind of in talks right now.
“It’s funny because I landed yesterday and I met up with a few of my Spices and we were doing a big time reminisce. I had a nice little cup of tea with Geri and Emma last night and it was lovely.”
While Mel was born in England, she spends most of her time in Los Angeles, where her three daughters go to school. But she has always been something of a globetrotter, and said in the interview that she’s a fan of the nomadic lifestyle.
“I come over a lot for work but I’m based in Los Angeles, I have been for about the last 12 or 13 years as my kids go to school there,” she said. “But then I have spent a bit of time in Australia and New York – I’m a bit of a gypsy and I like that.”
Not sure it would every happen, but I would to see Adele rocking on stage with the Spice Girls, I doubt it would ever happen though. But who knows…

Spice fans far and wide have been hoping The Spice Girls will get back together for their 20th anniversary.
But now it is suggested that there could be no hope for all five ladies appearing together as Mel C has reportedly dropped out of reunion plans.
An unnamed source told British newspaper The Sun: “Mel C is out of the reunion for now. She has essentially left the band to focus on a more serious music career.
“She loves the girls but it just didn’t feel right for her to reunite with them at the moment. She has other priorities and obviously it was a bit of a problem that Victoria made it clear she wasn’t going to be part of the reunion.
“Mel B and Geri in particular are still determined to mark their anniversary in some way. They are arranging a number of meetings which include the option for a tour, possible with just the three of them or with other singers.
“There have even been the suggestions of a Spice Girls talent show. It would be an absolute TV sensation. Could you imagine the opportunity for a member of the public to become a Spice Girl?”
Mel B has previously spoken about the possibility of a reunion, but preferred to stay coy until it was set in stone, despite hinting that something could be coming soon.
Speaking on the Allegedly podcast, the 40-year-old said: “I’ve been trying to get those bitches together for years. We are in talks with each other closely about this reunion, but until something’s official, there’s no point in saying anything. I do feel like it’s getting closer and closer.”
While the band was together, the Spice Girls sold more than 85 million records and their 2007 reunion tour raked in £107m in ticket sales and merchandise.
All five members released music as solo artists and went on to enter other avenues.
Mel C and Mel B both lent their musical skills to judging panels on talent shows with Chisholm now appearing on Asia’s Got Talent and Brown having worked on The X Factor UK and Australia, America’s Got Talent and landing the role of presenter of Lip Sync Battle UK.
Victoria Beckham has her own fashion house, Geri Halliwell (now Horner) has played judge on a number of shows like her bandmates and Emma Bunton is the host of two radio shows on Heart FM.
A representative for Mel C has been contacted for comment on the rumour that she has dropped out of reunion plans.

The Spice Girls’ 20-year reunion tour is in crisis because Mel C refuses to take part without Victoria Beckham. Oo-er!
Posh, has told her four former bandmates she is too busy with her fashion empire.
But Sporty Melanie Chisholm, has dug her heels in and will go ahead only “if all the cogs are in place”.
A source The Sun: “This means good management, good tour promoters and good sponsorship to maximise revenue. To fulfil this Mel believes the band has to be the original five-piece and Victoria needs to be involved.”
A spokeswoman for Mel C declined to comment.
Meanwhile Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell, are “bickering” over a top name to manage next year’s live shows, planned to mark 1996 hit “Wannabe”.
The last time I saw the girls perform as five piece was at the Staples Center in Los Angeles back in 2007… I think they did a pretty good job too.
I do hope Victoria comes to her senses…after all, if it wasn’t for the band she wouldn’t be famous, then she wouldn’t have met David and therefore she would not have her fashion empire!
Time to give something back to the fans who put you there, Mrs. Beckham!
