Singer Adele is seriously ‘Rolling in the Dosh’ according to reports that state she was raking it in during her sold-out world tour last year after she performed 107 dates across Europe and America between February and December. Oo-er!
This places the Hello‘ songstress among a group of the most wealthiest musicians in the world including icons like Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and The Rolling Stones after making a whopping $500,000 every night, according to new accounts filed by her firm Remedy Touring, of which she is the sole director.
The Sun reports that the 28-year-old British star’s company made a profit of $13.5 million between October 2015 and April 2016.
“Given this was Adele’s first ever world tour her earnings really are incredible,” a source said.
“If you break it down then she was making more than half a million every single night. The latest accounts just go up until April, when she was only a few months into the tour, which make it all the more astounding.
“Adele was selling out arena after arena every night so her income would definitely have shot up at the same rate throughout the rest of the year.”
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that the star has decided to take a lengthy break from the music industry when she wraps up her Adele Live tour later this year.
The superstar is reportedly planning to have another child with her husband Simon Konecki, 42, the father of her four-year-old son Angelo.
The couple – who have been together for five years – got engaged in October during Adele’s world tour and she revealed at the Grammy Awards that they had secretly wed, when she referred to Simon as her “husband”, during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.
Adele said: “Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you’re the only reason I do it.”
Earlier this week Adele beat Beyoncé to win five Grammys and about to embark on an 11-date tour of Australia later this month, starting in Perth on February 28.
So I guess there will be more of that ‘dosh’ rolling in then!

Julia Clancey is a British fashion designer based in Los Angeles; her clothes have dazzled the world over in highly publicized shows like London, New York and Dubai Fashion Week. Her creations have been featured in magazines including Vogue and ELLE and Harpers Bazaar.
The petite brunette has spent the last couple of years focusing and developing her sophisticated accessory line. Her attention to detail and love of vintage led to the creation of her latest collection showing at Palm Springs Fashion Week when it debuts in mid-November. This will see Clancey take to the runway with her best friend and longtime muse, model and author – Lady Victoria Hervey.
Swarovski has endorsed the line, and as a brand partner, Julia uses the highest quality of all materials when constructing a new collection. Her upcoming assortment is all hand embroidered and made to order. The pieces are made to be cherished and passed down to generations as timeless statement adornments unlike most garments made in the modern day world of fashion.
Her target market is 25-to 70-year-olds. Representative garments are ballet skirts, baby-doll dresses, chic turbans (which have recently become her trademark), and crystal-encrusted accessories.
Clancey describes her aesthetic as glamorous and fun, and says her clothes are, “Floaty and very feminine based on silk georgettes, chiffons, and satins.”
He first ten years in the fashion industry, she worked in various capacities, including Editor of ‘Large’ magazine and Fashion Editor of ‘Cream’ magazine in Sydney, Australia and by styling for musicians as well as taking on numerous advertising campaigns and creative projects. Over the years, A-list celebrity clients, including Victoria Beckham, Dita Von Teese, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Mischa Barton and Cameron Diaz noticed her work.
Clancey regularly shows her collection during London Fashion Week. Notable press includes garments featured in the pages of Vogue, Glamour, InStyle, ELLE, GQ, FHM, and Tattler. Julia Clancey products are sold in boutiques in England, France, Spain, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Russia. Her primary business is done domestically, in London. The clothing of the 1920s influenced Clancey’s Fall 2007 collection.
This November Julia unveils The Riviera Collection at Palm Springs Fashion Week – Palm Springs. Vibrant magenta’s, pineapple yellow, papaya and watermelon green delightfully clash with a selection of lilac, peach and ice pink sorbets in a luxurious collection of voluminous kaftans, tops, robes, and summer gowns with matching headscarves. Brilliant whites teamed with gold and silver ties. All in cooling cotton silk and cotton satin carefully hand embroidered with gold sequins.
She says, “The inspiration? Very Elizabeth Taylor meets Cleopatra on the French Riviera.” Oo-la-la!
Sean Borg: Welcome! What brings you to Palm Springs?
Julia Clancey: I am going to be showcasing my resort collection Palm Springs Fashion Week and bringing along my brother and his line, Andrew Clancey.
SB: You seem to love Palm Springs you are there a lot.
JC: I fell in love with Palm Springs when I first visited about 6 years ago. I love the architecture, dramatic landscape, and climate. I love the old Hollywood influence and the history of Palm Springs. The rest time I stayed at the Parker I remember wandering around the grounds alone late at night with a martini thinking it should be my home. I adore Melvyn’s too and I am hoping I can squeeze in a visit.
SB: When did you first visit the city?
JC: I think it was about 6 years ago as friends all came from L.A. to stay at Ace for a long weekend.
SB: What sparked your early interest in fashion?
JC: I think I have always had an interest in dressing up and I used to design outfits when I was very young, although my only style guide was the Freeman’s catalogue. It was a progression. It took many years as I had many other jobs first.
SB: What skills are important for a successful career in fashion design?
JC: I am self-taught so never went to college. London is a bit snobby so I was never accepted as did not go to St. Martins, etc. I and the snobby side of fashion very amusing. I mean come on out seam lines are not saving lives. It is a lot of hard work and you need to be incredibly patient and focused.
SB: What made you take fashion more seriously and make a career out of it?
JC: I tend to do what makes me happy and making dresses made me happy. You cannot do it for the money, as the hours you put in are never ending. I was a fashion stylist before too so it really was a natural progression.
SB: How has your work evolved since you began your own label?
JC: There are still signature styles from my first collection that carry through to today. I’ve now had time to really create my signature style. I love dressing up, so I design for the woman that embraces that too. It amuses me when people say they adore my collection but have nowhere to wear it to. You make it happen, you create that situation!
SB: Are there any types of clothing that you avoid wearing or designing?
JC: Dungarees! Although, I do love a good jumpsuit. So, never say never to a Dungaree… However, I would market the designs as jumpsuits, definitely!
SB: What are you fascinated by right now and how does it shape your work?
JC: I am really getting back into doing gowns again. I said I would not go back into it. I am also designing a luxury yacht tender from concept and it is an incredible process. I’m hoping to do more after this one. It is always great to keep learning something new. I’m not sure I will sell may yachts in Palm Springs…but…
SB: What advice would you give to young designers?
JC: Have an understanding of your brand and where you see it. The fashion and retail industry is not in great shape and there is lots of competition, so what sets you apart from everyone else? Do you have rich parents or a sugar daddy? As you may need one…ha-ha
SB: What would you like to achieve before the end of the year?
JC: A few days off and being totally pampered. I am in desperate need of spa days. I would love to cycle through Joshua Tree too. I may be coming back…or not leaving Palm Springs for a while. Ha-ha.
SB: How do you stay up to date with fashion?
JC: I pay no attention to fashion and never have apart from when I was styling. I do not look at what other people are doing.
SB: Who is the most famous person to wear you?
JC: Gosh, well I did some accessories for Madonna’s tour. I dressed her dancers, but still great. Keira Knightly wore a headpiece. Dita Von Teese always looks incredible in any of the pieces. Oh, back in the day even Victoria Beckham. There have been a few and all very special to me for different reasons. The most exciting were when Prince contacted me to buy dresses for one of his artists for the Golden Globes, Grammys, and the Oscars. That was crazy…I was very shattered afterward.
SB: You worked with actress and Vogue cover girl Sienna Miller, how was that?
JC: I worked with her on Bernard Rose’s film, ‘Two Jacks’, and it was incredible. I had been saving this dress for the right person for years and then this lm comes along. I worked with some great actresses on that film and adored scenes with Izabella Miko too as she was thrown up in the air whilst dancing in one of the gowns. I love seeing the dresses coming to life and use a lot of fabric for the movement.
SB: Tell me about the collection at Palm Springs Fashion Week.
JC: It is a resort collection made from silk cotton, cotton, satin, and silk. Hand embroidered. All one size. Very luxe. All ages. I called it the Riviera Collection but we could call it Palm Springs…ha-ha…
SB: What’s next for the Julia Clancey Empire?
JC: Well once the yacht is done maybe private jets, hotels? Ha-ha, who knows? I would love a holiday home in Palm Springs!

Congratulations to British film director Guy Ritchie and his fiancée Jacqui Ainsley, who gave birth to their second child – a baby girl, at a private London hospital earlier this week.
A spokesperson for Guy Ritchie said: “We can confirm that Guy and Jacqui are the proud parents of a new baby girl. Mother and baby are doing well.”
The proud parents have been dating since spring 2010, 44-year-old Ritchie, and model Jacqui, 30, already have son Rafael, 14 months.
Last month the Sherlock Holmes supremo, who was once married to pop star Madonna decided he was ready once again to head down the aisle when he asked Jacqui to be his wife, and the pair became engaged.
A friend said: “They are both utterly delighted at the birth of their second child. The fact that’s they now have a girl is an added bonus – and Guy is particularly pleased about this. He always wanted a boy and a girl.
“Everything went to plan and the pair of them couldn’t be happier now.”
No other details regarding the birth or the baby have yet been revealed, but I’m told Guy is thrilled with the arrival of his daughter.
We wish them both the very best!

Sir Elton John’s truce with Madonna has well and truly gone out the window after he branded her a ‘c***’ and ‘f***ing fairground stripper’.
The Rocket Man also reckoned his ‘aging’ scantily clad foe’s career is dead in the water.
Elton and Madonna have been archenemies for years, his extraordinary outburst came during an explosive appearance on Australian TV when he leapt to defend his son Zachary’s godmother, Lady Gaga, against endless taunts from the Material mom.
The 65-year-old raged: “Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c***.”
He warned the 53-year-old pop queen to get back in her box with her pompoms and fishnets, he continued: “If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly.”
He added: “But no, she had to go and prove… she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She’s been horrible to Gaga.”
Elton’s onslaught follows endless jibes made by Madge towards Lady G during her MDNA tour about the similarities between her 1989 hit Express Yourself and the 26-year-old’s Born This Way.
Lady Gaga and Elton John have been friends for years – Gaga is even his and partner David Furnish’s son’s godmother.
Furnish, erupted when Madge beat Elton and Gaga to the Best Original Song prize when the track from her film W.E pipped their duet Hello Hello, from his animated movie Gnomeo & Juliet.
Elton looked unimpressed when Madonna gave her acceptance speech at the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year.
The 49-year-old producer tweeted: “Madonna. Best song???? F*** off!!!” He continued: “Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.”
Elton was left eating humble pie on the night when he proclaimed Madge had no ‘f***ing chance’ of winning. Woops…
Well at least had his chance to slaughter her on Aussie TV… Over to you, Madonna!

I normally only write about British celebrities based in Los Angeles, however I reckon Sadie Frost more than makes the SBGLA grade… She is the ex-Mrs. Jude Law and mother of Jude’s three children, Rafferty, Iris and Rudy. And for a bit of Sadie Frost trivia… the actress and fashion designer once starred opposite Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker’s Dracula…
Yes, I know that was all such a long time ago, but still, Sadie Frost was making headlines long before the Winslet’s and Blanchett’s of the world.
Though, I’m not sure Sadie would appreciated me calling this a “comeback”, it is one… of sorts…
In London, Frost takes to the stage after a 20-year absence for a limited three week run at the trendy Soho Theatre, to play a Madonna-loving Mancunian – Lesley in TOUCHED…LIKE A VIRGIN – a one-woman show written by Zoe Lewis.
Based in 1984 at the height of Madonna-mania, Lesley, is an ordinary lass from up north who is ‘Touched for the very first time’ by the queen of pop, her “mad-gesty,” Madonna.
This begins a lifelong love affair until the world’s biggest pop star gets married and ditches the pointy bra in favor of twinsets and pearls.
Lesley feels betrayed and the clock is ticking. What if, when you are ready to settle down, you find you’ve left it too late?
Lewis takes a gut-wrenching look at the thirty something dilemma. Expect pop classics, IVF and tears in what is poised to be a riotously funny and wry look at modern womanhood.
So far, the reviews on Frost’s return have been quite favorable, which is surprising really, since the press often like to clobber Ms. Frost, hard. I’m guessing this is half the reason why she tries to fly under the radar as much possible. More often than not, the media tends to be rather unkind to ‘our’ Sadie.
Let’s hope that TOUCHED…LIKE A VIRGIN proves them all wrong and that in the near future Tinseltown will get to see more of her talents, once again!
I urge my Hollywood friends visiting London between Tuesday 22 May – Saturday 9 June to make a stop off at the Soho Theatre. Doors open at 7.45pm: Tickets range from £10 – £20. Visit www.sohotheatre.com or call the box office on +4420-7478-0100. A must for all Madonna fans…check it out!

After interviewing nearly every superstar in Tinseltown as a Hollywood correspondent for the UK media, Sandro Monetti is taking to the stage HIMSELF to spill the beans on what the big names are really like in Clooney, Cowell, Pitt and Me: Amusing Encounters with the A-List – a one-man show he has written and will perform in Los Angeles, next week.
Monetti’s past accolades include writing the biographies of actors including Mickey Rourke: Wrestling with Demons and the recent chart topping e-book Colin Firth: The Man Who Would Be King. He has also reported on stars for the BBC, Sky TV, Smash Hits, and even the now defunct News of the World! Oo-er…
Clooney, Cowell, Pitt and Me, which is directed by Craig Jessen, will have a week’s run in New York in July before Sandro heads back to Britain to perform it at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.
From Madonna to Michael Jackson, James Stewart to Kristen Stewart, Angelina Jolie to Tom Cruise, all the icons are featured in this rollicking and affectionate look behind the velvet rope of showbiz.
The reporter turned performer said: “When people find out I interview celebrities for a living, the question I’m most often asked is ‘what’s so and so really like?’ So I created this show to answer that question.”
He added: “There is a tendency, especially here in the States, to put stars on a pedestal but despite their talent they’re all just humans like the rest of us with the same eccentricities, insecurities. Hopefully the audiences will be entertained, and come away agreeing with me, that there really is no business like showbusiness.”
The show will be staged at: Hollywood’s Lyric Theatre, 520 N. LaBrea, on Wednesday April 25 and Thursday April 26 with tickets available from www.plays411.com/encounters.

It’s always nice to be the bearer of good news and today; I have just that for you all… Guy Ritchie has become a father again, as his gorgeous girlfriend, Jacqui Ainsley has given birth to a baby boy!!!
According to reports, Jacqui underwent an emergency caesarean yesterday morning at London’s Portland Hospital, but thankfully both mother and baby are doing fine.
The baby, whose name is yet undecided by the couple will be a half brother to Ritchie’s other son, Rocco, from his first marriage to Madonna.
Madge and Sherlock Holmes, director Guy divorced back in 2008 after eight years, but it’s wasn’t long before Jacqui came the scene in May, 2009, but this was just the first meeting between the pair.
It wasn’t until the following year, in April, that guy made his move and asked the Elite model out for dinner…talk about a slow mover.
Well I just it has all ended happily…eventually!

You can’t get any more iconic than the late, great Marilyn Monroe, and it seems Kelly Osbourne has taken inspiration from the Hollywood legend, as she arrived for lunch at the Ivy in Los Angeles yesterday.
The 26-year-old looked as if she had just stepped off the set of a 1950s movie set sporting her Marilyn hairdo, complete with a splash of bright pink lipstick and bare legs…and what a pair a pins they are too!
Maybe Kelly-O was out to show another Monroe fan, Madonna, that she can roll with the greats too…As last week Kelly was named the new face of Madonna’s clothing line, Material Girl. The range of clothes which is aimed at teenage girls and is designed by Madonna herself, and her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon.
Miss Osbourne is also set to appear in two films this year…My, oh my she is a busy girl! She will star in the romantic comedy Should’ve Been Romeo, and also alongside Miley Cyrus in the action comedy I’m Like Soooo Undercover…And I’m like soooo still staring at those legs Kelly!
