Is Mulligan The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?!

So, I make no secret of being a massive fan of actress Carey Mulligan, who came to my attention after I watched her playing the unforgettable character – Sally Sparrow in BBC’s Doctor Who.
Now, according to reports, Carey has won the approval of director David Fincher, and the family of the late acclaimed writer, Stieg Larsson, landing the lead role in the movie adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, beating numerous big name actresses to the part, including Twilight’s Kristen Stewart.
My insiders tell me that Oscar-nominated Mulligan, and KStew were down to the final two being considered for the part of bisexual computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander. But it appears Tinseltown’s casting directors have made right choice (for once) and apparently are keen on giving Carey the coveted role.
Yippee! ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ was a sensational book, and I can just see Carey Mulligan playing the lead… Ooh, I’m tingling at the thought already…
However, Sally Sparrow (in my opinion) is still a tough act to follow, Carey!
Smile Kristen, It Might Never Happen…

Lordy, lordy, this girl’s got it all, hit movies, money, a hot-stud boyf’, multiple magazine covers and she can’t even squeeze out a smile for the camera.
RPatz’ bird, sullen faced Kristen Stewart aka KStew, graces the cover of April’s edition of Flaunt magazine, which features Kristen in a 14-page story, including an in-depth interview and 11 new, original photographs by top fashion photographer Yu Tsai.
However, the Twilight actress may have something to smile about this weekend should she decide to join the cool Coachella crowd, if what I’m hearing from my Palm Springs spies is true.
And of course we’ll be there keeping an eye out for her at all the shows!
Next stop for Kristen could be Vancouver according to E-online, where reshoots for Eclipse are scheduled in the coming weeks.
A rep for Summit Entertainment said, “They are not technically reshoots but rather ‘pickup shots.’ They have been planned for several movies and are normal in the filmmaking process.”
