When Katy Perry sings about wearing bikinis on top in her hit song California Gurls (I still don’t understand why she spells “Gurls” with a “U”) she must not be singing about herself because, as you can see, she started to lose her bikini top after a recent snorkeling excursion while on Holiday in the Bahamas.

Hold on tight Katy! You wouldn’t want Russell to think you’re a floozy exhibitionist and call off the engagement. Then again, Russ is probably more of a wild exhibitionist than you are! Carry on…

Holy Crap Brandman, scruffy Russell almost looks half sexy!

As Katy Perry gets attention from the O.C’s Josh Kloss on the set of her new video, her other half Russell Brand was getting attention of a different kind when he stepped out in this hilarious rubber Batman outfit in New York, while filming scenes for his new movie Arthur.

Arthur is remake of the 1981 film that starred Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli about a drunken socialite who has to marry well-to-do women so he can inherit his family’s fortune.

I heard the funnyman had everyone in hysterics, especially as he peeled the suit down to his waist to reveal his true identity – a rather less than impressive ab-less version.

I’m also told Brand quite enjoyed dressing up as the caped crusader and even sent fiancée Katy a pic of it, that eventually ended up on his Twitter page (pictured).

Leaving me to wonder if Russell is taking the outfit home with him …? And does Katy have a Batgirl suit on order …? And just who’ll be playing Robin … Um, Josh Kloss?!?! Watch this space!

Katy Perry headed back to her hometown of Santa Barbara to film her latest video for Teenage Dream and she cast a load of her pals in the production.

The 25-year-old tweeted: “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!!! In my hometown. I got to go cast all my friends in the new music vid for Teenage Dream = amazing insanity.”

The video features Perry kissing The O.C’s Josh Kloss in a hotel swimming pool and a shot of her kneeling on a beach in a floral bikini looking hopefully up at a rather toned man in a pair of tight orange Speedos. Oo-er, not sure what would Russell say about this!

Landing a part on Glee seems to be the growing trend in Hollywood these days, everyone wants in!

According to creator Ryan Murphy, a Britney Spears episode has just been given the green light, and recently Katy Perry publicly begged to be on the show.

Now, word reaches us that Torchwood star John Barrowman just met with the shows casting directors. He said, “I have no idea if I’ll be in it, I met with their casting people and I said I’d love to be in it – I’d be good as one of Rachel’s gay dads.”

What a cool idea! I might have to get in on the act; even my neighbor Matt Morrison has a part in the show playing Schuester … Time to ring his doorbell, me thinks!

Katy Perry’s first foray into acting wasn’t too successful – she was cut from her cameo in fiance Russell Brand’s movie, Get Him to the Greek. However, the singer hasn’t given up and wants to make an appearance on Emmy-nominated show Glee.

In fact she’s so keen, she wants her fans to campaign to get her a role.

She said: “Please! I would love somebody to start that Facebook group and persuade them. I would absolutely love that.”

I think Katy would be great on the show. Her love of camping it up and belting out a tune would fit perfectly. The Facebook group has started!

I wonder what Russell Brand will make of all this? His fiancé, Katy Perry has revealed she has a major crush on Simon Cowell.

Perry joined the X Factor earlier this week as a guest judge stepping in for Dannii Minogue. The Hot N Cold singer told Capital FM she had a spot soft for the telly mogul, saying: “I love sitting next to Simon. He is a big flirt and also a very smart man.” Oo-er, Katy …

After meeting fellow panel judge Cheryl Cole, Katy wrote on her Twitter page: “I wish Cheryl Cole tweeted. She was a sweetie pateetie (girl crush alert).” Good heavens, vying for a few brownie points honey?

Clearly Katy’s good at saying all the right things, according sources behind the scenes, show bosses were thrilled with her, even Louis Walsh thought Katy did an “amazing job”, telling one newspaper: “She was fantastic, she was one of the best guest judges we’ve ever had.” Hmm, how very kind of Louis … I wonder if Katy fancied him too?

Katy’s dress at the weekend was inspired by her wanting to support both her native USA and fiance Russell’s team, England. And she got her wish when the score ended 1-1.
