Tamara Mellon Sells Britain To The World!

There’s no stopping this woman… Her name is Tamara Mellon!
Only a few weeks ago my old pal received an OBE from the Queen of England for services to the fashion industry and it only seems like yesterday that Tamara shared with me her dream to design shoes to make her living. At the time, Tamara had asked me who I thought could help her promote her then little-known brand Jimmy Choo in Hollywood… I suggested she try Marilyn Heston, “she might be able to help you…” I said. And indeed, Tamara Yeardye, as she was known back then, took my advice.
In 1995, I had Tamara (no stranger to sexy shoots) pose naked with ‘It’ girls Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Tamara Beckwith for a photoshoot for Tatler magazine — modeling handbags by Deborah Anderson covering their ever so pert tushes. It was clever publicity stunts such as this which helped Ms. Mellon in the promotion of Jimmy Choo shoes – using the elite on the fashionable party circuit to help boost her business.
It worked! Nowadays, Mellon is the toast of society, the envy of every wannabe businesswoman, has A-list men throwing themselves at her feet, oh and I forgot to mention her personal fortune is estimated at around $200 million dollars (ahem… or so.)
Today, Ms. Mellon, has made world news yet again, er, not because she has a new celebrity boyf’, but surprisingly she has just been appointed by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, to become a global trade envoy for Great Britain (a similar role to that of Prince Andrew).
From Jimmy Choo to a posh government view, the global trade industry just became a lot more interesting thanks to the marvelous Tamara Mellon, the first of a new breed of trade emissaries for our country, with not a bad pair of, um… melons on her either… Good thinking Prime Minister!

In celebs-ville you’re no one until you’ve had a high fashwan handbag named after you – just look at the lovely Jane and her Birkin and that Chung kid and her Mulberry ‘Alexa’ – so congratulations Daphne Guinness (left) and Zeta Graff (right), you have officially made it!
Jimmy Choo’s Tamara Mellon has named two of her coveted arm candies after the socialites – a gorgeous silver clutch after Zeta and a fashtastic neon and leopard print number after Daphne – and I have just two words: I WANT.
Jimmy Choo never fails when it comes to accessories and I’m sure the brand’s countless A-list fans like Kylie, SJP and Keira would agree.
Now what do I have to do to get a bag named after little old me? The ‘Helen’ has a nice ring to it…

Stick a fork in her – she’s done! Hot chick Jennifer Aniston stepped out in a tinfoil-inspired minidress at last night’s premiere of The Bounty Hunter in London.
She paired the silver Valentino frock with Jimmy Choo heels and an Alexander McQueen tuxedo jacket and mancessory, co-star Gerard Butler.
The pair cuddled up for the cameras and lavished praise on each other.
Gerard, who I bumped into at the Chateau Marmont in LA last week said: “There’s nothing diva-ish about her, she’s very down to earth, very sure of herself and who she is, and I’m like a little kid, who doesn’t take myself too seriously.”We had a fun script and a great director, so we just had to dive in and it was a blast.”
The lovely Jen responded by saying, “I love my Gerry. We just lucked out – director fantastic, Gerry fantastic, our crew, New York – you just can’t go wrong.”
But despite rumours that they enjoyed an off-screen romance Gerard insists in this month’s Men’s Health that he’s not the womaniser people think he is. He said: “I get laid less now that I used to, because I’m way more paranoid now. Look at f***ing Tiger Woods.”
Er, I can understand you being worried about kiss ‘n’ tell stories Gerry, but it’s a slightly different situation. You’re single Gerard so you can s**g who you like.. And don’t forget, you were chasing every bit of skirt you could at parties thrown on Oscars week… I saw you dude! Does the name Sheila Shah ring any bells?!
Choo’s Mellon in Beach Boy Heaven!

My pal Tamara Mellon had much to smile about on her Christmas hols in St. Bart’s, showing off her sexy body with yet ANOTHER hot male by her side.
The 42 year-old who has made £100 million profit from her Jimmy Choo shoe empire, said recently that the relationship with her 70-year-old mother, former Chanel model Anne Yeardye had been strained after a long-running legal battle that saw Tamara winning back the £6million return of shares mistakenly paid into a family trust fund.
Putting all that behind her, Tamara seemed to be enjoying every minute of her much-needed break, pictured in a skimpy bikini with a super slender figure she showed no signs of stress lapping up the sunshine with best friend, top fashion designer Marc Jacobs. Oh to be part of the elite!
And I’d say she’s clearly over the break-up earlier this year with ex-bf, actor Christian Slater, this year alone Mellon’s been spotted out on the town with former Eastenders star Sean Mcguire, Red Hot Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis and even Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn… er, to name a few…
I’m not saying she went second base with any of them, but it would seem Miss Mellon isn’t short of hunky admirers, and with that extra £6mil in the bank I’m sure there are many more ready to beat on her door for a piece of the action!

Spies are telling me that my pal Tamara Mellon isn’t letting her split from Christian Slater get her down.
She’s jetting off on holiday with her daughter Minty for a Caribbean break to get away from it all.
Friends of the Jimmy Choo boss tell me she’s in good spirits but “wants to get away and spend some time with her daughter”.
