Hugh’s the Daddy NOW!
Posted on November 1st, 2011 at 7:22 pm by SBGLA

It has been revealed that Hugh Grant has become a father for the first time and welcomed a baby daughter into the world early last month.
The identity of the mother was a big mystery but the truth has since been uncovered that Chinese actress Tinglan Hong, who Grant had a string of dates with back in April of this year is in fact the child’s baby-mother.
And though Grant is not with Hong, according to sources, the 51 year-old Bridget Jones Diary star said to be ‘thrilled’ at being a father.
An insider said: “He’s going to be a great dad! He’s beaming about his daughter. He’s not with the mum anymore but he’s absolutely thrilled.”
Hugh’s publicist confirmed the news that he has become a baby-dad – but would not reveal anymore information.
She told Mail Online: “I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl.
He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.”
Work wise the actor has had a quiet year so far; his next role will be the voice of a captain in animated pirate movie.
We wish Hugh the best of luck in his newfound fatherhood!
Andrew Garfield Kisses Co-star Emma Stone Spider-Man Style!
Posted on January 5th, 2011 at 3:08 pm by

Spider-Man fans can finally get a glimpse of Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Peter Parker after the Brit actor was recently spotted filming a scene for the upcoming super-hero flick in Los Angeles alongside co-star Emma Stone (star of the recent hit film Easy A.) Stone plays Parker’s love interest Gwen Stacey in the web-slinger feature. The young actors were spied filming a romantic scene at what appears to be a high school setting that ends with a kiss between the two rising stars.
Regarding the interaction and possible attraction between the two actors, the director of the film Marc Webb said: “The chemistry between Andrew and Emma was stunning and made Emma the clear choice [to play the female love interest.]”
The film’s cast also includes Welsh actor Rhys Ifans, best known for playing Hugh Grant’s sidekick Spike in Notting Hill, who is rumoured to play Spider-Man’s enemy The Lizard. Actor Martin Sheen will appear as Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben, actress Sally Field will personify Aunt May, and comedian Denis Leary will portray Gwen Stacey’s father.
As much as the idea of a Brit actor playing Spider-Man and his alter ego Peter Parker seems unsuitable, no matter how talented Andrew is, the “stunning chemistry,” as described by Marc Webb, between Andrew and Emma might be reason enough to see this film. For the sake of the Spider-Man movie franchise, I certainly hope so!
Liz Hurley’s Hurried Divorce!
Posted on December 15th, 2010 at 1:22 pm by

Brit celeb Elizabeth Hurley is in the middle of controversy once again. The former model has announced that she is divorcing her textile tycoon husband of three years Arun Nayar after her affair with Australian cricketer Shane Warne went public a few days earlier. Hurley is said to have already agreed to the settlement terms of the divorce, with neither seeking any of the other’s fortune.
Regarding the divorce, Hurley tweeted: “Painful, sad days. Arun and I separated for private reasons but for the record he has been a great father to our son Damian and will always be in his life.”
Hurley and Nayar married in March of 2007 after Hugh Grant’s ex was given away by Elton John at the ceremony. Hurley claims that she and her husband separated months before her affair with Warne and the divorce became public knowledge.
Hurley’s new Australian toy boy has also reportedly left his former spouse, Simone Callahan, to be with the Brit actress. Warne has three children with Callahan while Hurley has a son sired by her ex-boyfriend Steve Bing.
Liz, I am bedazzled by your dramatic personal life. Hopefully you will come out of this sad divorce a happier person with Shane by your side.
Spider-Man’s Andrew Garfield to Face Welsh Actor Rhys Ifans!
Posted on October 11th, 2010 at 4:13 pm by
Sony Pictures recently announced that Welsh actor Rhys Ifans has been cast as the villain in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot movie. Ifans joins the growing cast, which includes Brit Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as the heroic web-slinger, and American actress Emma Stone (Easy A) as love interest Gwen Stacy. Sony also stated that the filmmakers prefer not to reveal which character Ifans will be playing.
Ifans is best known for portraying the misfit character Spike in Notting Hill alongside Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. He was also recently featured in Nanny Mcphee Returns starring Emma Thompson and can be seen in the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The revamped Spider-Man flick is expected to sling into theaters in July of 2012.
Although we do not know exactly which character Ifans will be playing, it is easier to imagine him personifying an evil super-villain than it is to envision Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Besides, if we must have a British Peter Parker, I reckon we might as well have a Welsh enemy for him to battle against.
Guess Hugh’s got his own room?

Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant have remained BFFs ever since they split up, and they even go on holiday together, but now Liz has revealed that he hangs out with her and hubby Arun Nayer so much that he practically has his own bedroom at their house.
The 44-year-old yummy mummy stood by Hugh after his, ahem, ‘troubles’ on Sunset Strip in 1995 before the couple split up amicably in 2000. They have been bosom buds ever since.
Elizabeth told Zest magazine: “My overall best friend is Hugh. My ‘current affairs’ best friend is Arun, because we speak to each other all day, every day. Hugh is still my number one. We’ve been best friends for 24 years and that’s not nothing.
“Hugh virtually has a bedroom at our house and we’re still neighbours in London. And he’s an excellent godfather to Damian.
“He’s a part of our family — we all go on holiday together and Arun and Hugh get on incredibly well. We’re all grown up, and if I wanted to be with Hugh, we would be together.” Hopefully that sets the gossip-mongers (and Arun’s) mind at rest!
Elizabeth went on to have a son, Damian, with billionaire Steve Bing before marrying Arun in 2007. Hugh, on the other hand, is well known for his flings and slightly age-inappropriate behavior – we won’t bring up those pics of you with a bunch of students at St Andrews University again, Hugh. Oh we just did!
Hugh After Booker Prize?

Hugh Grant’s been threatening to give up acting for years (although some might argue that he never really started), but now he reckons he’s ditching his day job to become a novelist.
The 49-year-old Four Weddings star is turning his back on Tinsel Town and hunkering down to write a book.
Hugh said: “I have always promised myself that when I have made some nice films and earned some money, I’m going to write a novel.”
This isn’t the first time Hugh’s threatened to leave the limelight, but then he always signs on for another film. Last year he claimed he liked “everything about filming except the acting” and often refers to his job as a “miserable experience”.
The box office takings for his last movie, Did you Hear about the Morgans? were certainly pretty miserable – oops, did I just say that?
So maybe he might as well give writing a go, perhaps an autobiography might be best though. It could be called Luvvie, Actually… Hmm I like that!
