At Last Katy Perry Gets Branded!

Finally folks, scruffy funnyman Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry tied the knot earlier today (Saturday) in a traditional Hindu wedding in a resort at a tiger reserve in northwestern India.
And it looks as if Katy and Russell spared no expense with their celebrations, making sure they had an authentic procession known as the ‘bharat’, where the groom and his relatives walk to wherever the bride is waiting.
The couple wore traditional Indian clothes, and Perry wore a sari, complete with henna designs applied on her palms and hands. The sounds of sacred Vedic chanting could also be heard coming from the resort, which was said to be was decorated with lamps and colorful illuminated tree lights.
We’re told a Hindu priest conducted ceremony, which was attended by family and only a few close friends.
Sources revealed more than 20 elephants, horses, camels, Indian dancers and musicians walked with Russell in the wedding procession.
Congratulations ‘Kussel’, may this day truly be a ’till death do us part’ experience for you both… And now perhaps we can all get with our lives!
Get Him To The Church… Brand in the Clear for Paparazzi Arrest!

It would seem scruffy faced funnyman Russell Brand has been given the all clear and can now forge ahead with his wedding plans to marry fiancé, singer Katy Perry.
It was thought that the Get Him To The Greek star’s run in with a paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport last month would cause havoc for him and his singing bride-to-be.
However, prosecutors say they have no plans to charge the actor for his run-in with a photographer.
LA City Attorney’s Office spokesman Frank Mateljan confirmed Russell is off the hook on the condition that he and the pap in question attend a court-ordered ticking off from the judge and a hearing is set for November 19.
Mateljan said: “This is the only action as of now. Based on the info, it has been determined that this is the most appropriate action at this time.”
Mateljan also stated he did not know if Brand or the paparazzo were looking to press charges against each other.
A near miss if ever I saw one Russell… That’ll teach you not to play the ‘Rock star’, it’s acceptable on a movie set, but not in public sweetie… Consider yourself a very lucky man!
Don’t Buy Russell and Katy a Wedding Gift!

‘Get Him to The Greek’ star Russell Brand and fiancé singer, Katy Perry, expected to marry in India later this month, have told family and friends not to spoil them on their wedding day.
The kooky couple have urged guests not to buy them expensive gifts at their upcoming nuptials and have declared that if they do receive any then they would be donating them all to charity.
Wow, how kind!
The scruffy funnyman told Heart 106.2 DJ Harriet Scott: “Katy has got a good job and I’ve got a good job, it seems indulgent to ask for more things, so we’re going to do something more worthwhile and humane with any money that people want to give us.”
I hope you’re sure about this one Russell my dear, as I hear someone was planning on giving you and Katy a big ol’ fat Canary Yellow diamond (oops, sorry to spoil the surprise). However, I’m sure most charities would die to get their mitts on that particular gift!
Katy’s Feeling Glee-dy!

Katy Perry’s first foray into acting wasn’t too successful – she was cut from her cameo in fiance Russell Brand’s movie, Get Him to the Greek. However, the singer hasn’t given up and wants to make an appearance on Emmy-nominated show Glee.
In fact she’s so keen, she wants her fans to campaign to get her a role.
She said: “Please! I would love somebody to start that Facebook group and persuade them. I would absolutely love that.”
I think Katy would be great on the show. Her love of camping it up and belting out a tune would fit perfectly. The Facebook group has started!
Russell Brand Wants Elvis to Officiate Wedding!

Russell Brand just keeps getting more and more classy… er… I mean klassy with a “K.”
The scruffy looking Brit (well, not in this pic) was recently accompanied by his fiancé, singer Katy Perry, to the premiere of his latest film Get Him to the Greek in Las Vegas. The couple, who walked the red carpet, will soon be walking down the aisle together. The question is what kind of wedding is this wacky duo planning?
The two are reportedly still considering Vegas for the big day. Brand joked: “Now we’re talking, the drive-thru chapel. A Vegas wedding, married by Elvis Presley, or even better, Aaron Presley in his unnourished form.” Huh? While you’re at it Russell, why not have a Michael Jackson impersonator as your ring bearer?
As for Perry, she denies the claim made by friend Rihanna that the wedding is to take place in India. Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Perry said: “I haven’t told Rihanna where we’re getting married actually. She thought we were getting married in India because we got engaged there.”
The singer added: “I hope it to be in an [exciting] location because I think it’s better to take people out of their comfort zones. I think it’s going to be small for right now because there’s so much biggness going on in our lives. There will be receptions and parties. Everybody knows that I love to throw a good party.”
It sounds like Katy’s ideas are a little different from Russell’s and, due to his recent bridezilla-like behavior, this could cause some contentious wedding planning between the two. Russ might be singing The Doghouse Rock… if you catch my drift.

The scruffy star is offering YOU the chance to record a cover version of Bangers, Beans & Mash – a track that features in his upcoming film.
If your song catches Russell’s ears, it’ll give you the opportunity to walk on the red carpet at the film’s premiere with its stars – Jonah Hill and of course, Brand himself.

Katy’s Kiss With Russ Cut From Flick!

Katy Perry met Russell Brand (AKA Kussell?) while filming a cameo role on the set of his upcoming movie Get Him To The Greek, though the part was small it did give the couple a chance to have a little smooch on set (with tongues and all, oo-er) even if it was just for the cameras…
Katy said: “When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him.
“And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy – I get a bit childlike.”
What’s surprising now is that even though Katy is still listed on the film’s official IMDb page, her part has ended up on the cutting room floor (Aww).
But the worse part is that she was replaced by another singer – step forward Christina Aguilera. The cheek of it!
A source revealed: “There has been a few early screenings over in the States and Katy wasn’t in it. Everyone had been waiting for the big kiss scene, but it wasn’t there. It’s the moment the big romance started.
And now they are getting married – it’s like a fairytale unraveling in front of our eyes. The scene has got to get back in there.”
All’s well that ends well I say, Christina’s part in the movie may be safe, but at least Katy’s got her man… Even if he does look as if he needs a good bath!
But honestly? You would have thought Brand could have pulled a few strings behind the scenes and prevented this from happening to his poor ol’ fiancé’s silver-screen debut. But alas not…
Come on Russell sort it out, this is humiliating!
