Loving the Way You Look… ‘Geri’ Nice Indeed Miss Halliwell!

Former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell was oozing sexiness in London earlier this week at the opening of the new McLaren showroom. The star, who has just returned from a break in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat in the South of France with boyfriend Henry Beckwith and her daughter Bluebell-Madonna, was looking super fit in a powder-blue mini-dress with white lace that highlighted her curves and incredibly toned and spray-tanned legs… And not bad pins too, I must say!
Haliwelll, 38, who has been out of the news for some time was clearly keen to shine on the red carpet… If you ask me a comeback is long overdue… And looking as good as this Miss Halliwell is sure to impress the critics who have often knocked her for her over-the-top trashy flamboyant taste in clothes… Um, that and a good pop record of course!
Baby Spice Is Now Engaged Spice!

Pop singer Emma Bunton is engaged!
The former Spice Girl recently tweeted: “Yahooooo I’m Engaged! Love you, Jade! I’m a very happy lady!” Along with the announcement, Bunton also posted a Twitpic (pictured) of her showing off her engagement ring.
Bunton is engaged to Jade Jones, who she has been coupled with for ten years. Jones is best known as the former lead singer of the R&B band called Damage. The two Brit singers have a three-year-old son, Beau Lee, and are expecting their second child this spring.
Once Bunton walks down the aisle, Mel C. and Geri Halliwell will be the only two former Spice Girls remaining unmarried (not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
After spending ten years together, I reckon Emma and Jade are likely to have a long and happy marriage. Cheers to the joyfully engaged couple!
The Union Jack’s Flying Half Mast At the Beckham Home!

I wonder what Gerri Halliwell’s Union Jack dress would make of all this, eh?
When the Los Angeles Times cornered David Beckham yesterday he expressed that he would very much like to become an American citizen.
The Soccer hunk told reporters: “Our boys go to school here. They’re happy here. As long as they continue to be happy here, and my wife’s happy here, then we plan on staying.”
This comes as no surprise, as many English folk who get a mere whiff of Tinseltown immediately want to grow roots here. This place is now teaming with Brits!
Let’s be clear… The Beckhams have top-notch neighbours in Beverly Hills. The temperature in LA, LA land is almost always perfect; the city is full of beautiful people and world-class cuisine. Mrs. Beckham has her budding fashion line; their kids love it. And while the paps may still get the odd money shot or two, the Beckhams have much more freedom here than the average Hollywood A-lister…
Who wouldn’t want to reside in California?!
Even though I reckon that little blue passport would fit rather nicely in David’s Gucci leather man-purse, the desire for permanent residency probably has more to do with Becks’ earning potential in the US. With an estimated $250 million salary and endorsement deals galore, I’d say this is what lures the ‘Brit-Family’ Beckham to LA’s sunny shores.
Well, I guess if you and the fam’ are set on staying David, then you’d better start learning the lyrics to Yankee Doodle Dandy, my boy!

Brit Actor Andrew Garfield Cast as Spider-Man!

Is it just me or is it difficult to imagine Peter Parker having tea and crumpets? This, however, might be what you see on the set of the next Spider-Man movie since Sony Pictures just announced British actor Andrew Garfield will portray the web slinger in the upcoming Spidey reboot. The 27-year-old, who was born in California and raised in the UK, is expected to start working on the film in December.
Spider-Man producer Avi Arad said: “We believe we have found the perfect choice to take on this role and lead us into the future.”
The announcement comes after Garfield’s predecessor, Tobey Maguire, along with Kirsten Dunst, and director Sam Raimi moved on from the Spider-Man franchise. The next installment will retell the story of Spider-Man’s beginnings, when ordinary Peter Parker was bitten by a radio-active spider and became a superhero. The upcoming film has not been given an official title yet, but is scheduled to hit theaters July 3rd, 2012.
Garfield steps into the legendary red and blue tights as a relatively unknown talent. The dual British-American citizen earned his early acting credits on numerous UK telly series including Freezing, Doctor Who, and Red Riding. In 2008 Garfield won a BAFTA TV award for best actor resulting from his work in the drama Boy A. Subsequently, Garfield earned supporting roles in well-known Hollywood films including Lions for Lambs, The Other Boleyn Girl, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus opposite the late Heath Ledger. The rising star can next be seen alongside Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan in the dramatic thriller Never Let Me Go being released later this year.
Regarding the announcement, Marc Webb, who will direct Garfield in the next Spider-Man installment said: “Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.”
I am marking Marc’s words and hoping I will love a British actor’s interpretation of a beloved American super-hero! What’s next, Geri Halliwell as Mary Jane and Margaret Thatcher as Aunt May!?!?
Dannii Minogue Discourages Cheryl Cole Comparisons!

Having been compared to sister Kylie for years, mum-to-be Dannii Minogue is no stranger to being measured up against famous pop stars. So the Aussie singer wasn’t exactly entering new territory when people began comparing her with fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.
In response to the constant Cole comparisons, to You magazine Minogue recently said: “It’s hard because you want to have your own vibe. I have been through this with Kylie. Who is better? Who is prettier? Who has got the nicer clothes?”
Minogue is currently in Melbourne, Australia getting ready to have her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith as Cole, along with colleagues Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, judges the first round of X Factor auditions throughout the UK. Various celebrities such as Geri Halliwell and Natalie Imbruglia have been filling in for Dannii as guest judges while she is on maternity leave.
I say Dannii needs to forget about what people think and how she compares to Cheryl, Kylie, or anyone else and make her “own vibe” by concentrating on what truly matters in life like having her first baby – which it appears she is trying to do. That’s the way to be Dannii! Good on you mate!
X Marks the Spot for Gerri!

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell will step in as a guest judge on X Factor while Dannii Minogue is off having her baby, it’s been revealed.
Geri will join show boss Simon Cowell, Irishman Louis Walsh, and Cheryl Cole, as they kick off auditions in Glasgow later this week.
Geri, said: “I love The X Factor!”
An ITV source added: “Simon asked his celebrity pals to join X Factor and they didn’t need asking twice. They’ll all add something new and fresh to the panel.”
Halliwell was previously a judge on Popstars: The Rivals, the very show which discovered X Factor judge Cheryl Cole and her Girls Aloud bandmates, so it’s going to rather interesting to see how those two get on, now that Cole is the bigger star of the two… (Ouch, I didn’t really say that … Did I!?!?)
Other guest judges rumored to be taking part over the coming weeks are Lily Allen, Katy Perry, Natalie Imbruglia and Charlotte Church.
Not So Loud… Nadine’s a Girl Gone Silent!

According to Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, the band haven’t heard a peep from LA-based Nadine Coyle since September last year.
However, Nicola is quick to make clear that as far as she’s concerned, ‘there’s no feud.’ Baffling, to say the least, eh girls?
Talking to Hello Magazine Nicola said: ‘If I’m really honest, we haven’t spoken to Nadine since we did the Coldplay gig at Wembley in September. I talked to the other girls about it on Monday, none of us have heard from her [Nadine].’
Over the past year the chart-topping girl band have worked on various solo projects during their well earned break, which has seen Cheryl Cole sore to the dizzy heights of pop superstardom, Sarah Harding in pursuit of an acting career and Nicola has created the Dainty Doll make-up range for the pale skinned.
As for Nadine, apparently she’s been working on her solo album, and I’ve often seen her hanging out with Lady Victoria Hervey on LA’s notorious party scene.
Hopefully, she isn’t turning in to a snob… Geri Halliwell made the same mistake with the Spice Girls and came running back with her tail between her legs!
If so, shame on you Nadine, don’t forget who your real friends are… Now pick up the phone and call the girls immediately, it’s your duty to do so dear…
I ‘Wannabe’ Like Gaga! Geri Spice Plots Comeback…

Rumors have been swirling for a while now, but former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell has confessed that she is planning to relaunch her solo career and is back in the studio working on a new sound to unleash on the popmarket (quick grab the earplugs!)
On her official website Geri said: “I’m back in the studio…. which I’m really enjoying. So I’ve been playing lots of music in the house, which [her daughter] Bluebell and I have been dancing around to.
I have discovered that Bluebell loves Lady Gaga! Great taste huh?”
It’s been a while since Halliwell last released an album; she made a brief return to the UK music scene in late 2004 with the single Ride It, which reached number four in charts. However, a follow-up track Desire was brought out six months later in May 2005, but it failed to impress ears, her album Passion shortly followed but stalled at the dismal chart position of 41.
Halliwell’s recording contract with EMI wasn’t renewed, and in interviews Geri has stated that she isn’t interested in recording another album, until now…
So, is Geri’s going Gaga, eh? Hmm, that I can’t wait to see… (Sarcastically.)
