Where is Emma Watson when you need her?
You haven’t seen Beauty and the Beast until you’ve seen the cast of Disney’s live-action movie out this Friday reimagining perform the iconic tale in a Hollywood crosswalk while narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic. Oo-er!
On Monday’s Late Late Show, chat show king, James Corden cast himself in the role of Belle along with the film’s stars Luke Evans, Dan Stevens and Josh Gad in his own production of the ‘Tale as Old as Time.’
Little did they know James would be playing the lead and it would take place on a busy street outside the CBS lot in the heart of West Hollywood.
The British TV personality is clearly a huge Disney fan, otherwise he wouldn’t have risked his life to put on the production. However, James took a little artistic license when he decided to cast himself, rather than Watson, as ‘Belle’ in the sketch and the resuts were hilarious to watch!
Corden changed into Belle’s ball gown to perform the title track – “Beauty and the Beast,” which brought tears to the cast members’ eyes. Looking him up and down—and channeling Gaston—Evans said, “I would.”
I have to say, I reckon James really gave Emma a run for her money in that last number, as he looked totally flawless in the iconic yellow dress while Dan twirled him around.
Stevens, who’d been apprehensive, was thrilled with the performance. “Oh, my God! I was wrong! That was incredible. That was the most invigorating thing I’ve ever done,” he raved. “I crossed that road and on the other side was everything I love about theater…and a gas station.”
After previously putting on productions of Grease, The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera, Corden was confident Beauty and the Beast would go down in history.
“People will say, ‘Where were you when the Crosswalk Theater Company performed Beauty and the Beast?'” the late-night host imagined. “I’ll say, ‘Well, I was on Beverly and Genesee…running late for the dentist.”
He might be right…

Former Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson gets that she’s a superstar, but she still wants to have a life outside of fame.
That’s why the British actress is declining to pose for selfies with fans these days. Oo-er!
“For me, it’s the difference between being able to have a life and not,” Watson told Vanity Fair in her cover interview this month.
“If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they’ve created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters.”
Even though she is soon to attract even more fans when her latest film, a live action version of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” when it hits theaters March 17, Watson says she’s learned to say no to selfie requests and is being more private. Boo-hoo!
“[The public] can see what I’m wearing and who I’m with,” she said of the photos. “I just can’t give that tracking data.”
Having grown up in the glare of the public eye with eight “Potter” movies under her belt, Watson is accustomed to attention.
She said she’s come up with a compromise for those who are super excited to meet her.
“I’ll say, ‘I will sit here and answer every single Harry Potter fandom question you have but I just can’t do a picture,'” she said.
Watson is selective about who she enforces the ban with.
“I have to carefully pick and choose my moment to interact,” she said. “When am I a celebrity sighting versus when am I going to make someone’s freakin’ week? Children I don’t say no to, for example.”
Photos aren’t the only place she draws the line: Watson adamantly refuses to discuss her boyfriend.
“I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home,” she said. “You can’t have it both ways.”
She’s a proper little madame, ain’t she!

“I quidditch!” might be something Emma Watson‘s saying behind the scenes, as news spreads that the Harry Potter starlet is quitting acting after her latest film was a box-office disaster… Oo-er!
The former child star is stepping back from the movie industry for a while so she can focus on her campaigning work and avoid embarrassments after her latest film Regression made a measly £243 per cinema in takings.
In a snooty new interview, the beauty explained her decision was so she could focus on her “own personal development” and, er, start her own, um… book club!
Emma said: “I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things.
“My own personal development is one. My own personal task is to read a book a week and also to read a book a month as part of my book club.
One thing I am going to do that I’ve been working on for a while is completing my yoga Level 3 meditation for teaching.”
Watson has been increasingly vocal in the world of feminist activism after launching the successful “HeForShe” campaign.
Now she has revealed she was nearly tempted to go back to university.
She said: “I almost thought about going and doing a year of gender studies, then I realised that I was learning so much by doing my reading.”
Emma is so advanced these days that she is becoming a wizard herself.
In an interview with famous American feminist bell hooks, she added: “It almost feels like the chemistry and structure of my brain is changing so rapidly sometimes. It feels as if sometimes I’m struggling to keep up with myself.”
Emma’s star has fallen significantly since her heady days at Hogwarts cheering on Daniel Radcliffe on the quidditch pitch as clever-clogs witch Hermione Granger.
The eight-blockbuster franchise made £5billion worldwide and turned her into one of Hollywood’s hottest properties.
But with her next film Colonia looking doomed to go straight to DVD, Emma’s last hopes of more box-office glory before bowing out will be opposite Tom Hanks in The Circle and with her turn as Belle in a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast next year.
Hope she won’t be too busy at book club to attend the premiere… Just sayin’…

British actress Emma Watson has graduated from Hogwarts to some decidedly more adult roles.
According to The Sun newspaper the “Harry Potter” actress goes topless in the drama “Regression”.
The 24-year-old starlet’s latest role, however, is anything but sexy. The drama, which co-stars Meryl Streep and Ethan Hawke is about Angela Gray the daughter of a man who sexually abuses her.
“Regression” isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until August 2015, but reports say that the movie is being previewed in U.S. theaters, and viewers are expressing concerns over Watson’s allegedly revealing scene.
One moviegoer reportedly described the scene as “useless and ineffective” adding:
“You can see her breasts but they are partially obscured. I think she may have been wearing pasties to cover her nipples.” Oo-er…
Watson has recently made some deliberate career choices to move away from her iconic “Harry Potter” character, the brainy teen wizard Hermione, including starring in the Biblical epic “Noah” and her upcoming political drama “Colonia Dignidad.”
Meanwhile, Watson has been named “Feminist Celebrity of 2014” by an online poll conducted by Cosmopolitan in partnership with Ms. Foundation For Women.
Foundation president and CEO, Teresa Younger, said in a statement: “We celebrate all feminists every day, but today we’re giving a hat tip to celebrities who are helping to promote women’s equality.”
The actress notably made headlines this year when she delivered a widely acclaimed speech about feminism at a United Nations meeting in September.
Sounds like young Emma is getting rather edgy these days… I like it!

Ex-Harry Potter actress, Emma Watson has been made a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador…
The UN Women’s website crashed due to the interest in the news.
The British star who completed her degree at Brown University last month said: “Being asked to serve as [a] UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador is truly humbling,” she said.
“The chance to make a real difference is not an opportunity that everyone is given and is one I have no intention of taking lightly.
“Women’s rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life, that I can’t imagine an opportunity more exciting.”
She later tweeted: “So excited to start work with the AMAZING people at UN Women!”
Those wondering whether they hand out UN titles to the famous like cookies would be pleased to learn that Watson earned her new humanitarian role by promoting education for girls in Zambia and Bangladesh.
Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, said it was an “honour” to have the actress with her on the team.
Meanwhile, in movieland, Emma has signed to produce and star in The Queen Of The Tearling, based on a young adult novel by Erika Johansen. It is set in a magical medieval Earth but far in the future.
Harry Potter studio Warner Bros bought the rights to the book, the first of a trilogy, which features 19-year-old princess Kelsea.
She must take the throne of her kingdom, the Tearling, which is besieged by a neighbouring country, Mortmesne, ruled by the Red Queen who has supernatural powers.
Emma said she could not put the book down and joked: “I was desperate to hate it.”
Well done, Emma!

Emma Watson made a big splash at the premiere of Darren Aronofsky‘s blockbuster flick Noah.
The biblical blockbuster movie has already generated criticism before its official release; however, Watson won only praise as she hit the red carpet at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theater to celebrate the opening.
Outshining her co-star Jennifer Connelly, sexy trendsetter Watson, known for her cutting-edge fashion wore a stunning full-length black gown in duchess satin from Oscar de la Renta‘s Fall 2014 collection.
Though this type of dress would normally fare far better on a much older woman, the pixie-like starlet pulled it off, looking every inch the rich, classy and elegant lady she is rapidly turning into.
The actress has been doing the rounds this week fulfilling her promotional commitments in New York. On Tuesday, she was spotted outside the iconic Ed Sullivan Theatre, home of The Late Show with David Letterman – where the genial host interviewed her about her latest role in the film that stars Russell Crow in the title role.
Looking androgynously stylish in a smart black trouser suit and crisp white shirt as she posed for photos outside the studio doors, and the fitted ensemble – in particular the skinny ‘cigarette pant’ trousers – complimented her slender frame.
On the show, Watson found it hard to cover-up her embarrassment when Letterman asked about animal sex (Oo-er). It was a priceless moment indeed, just to see the sheer lookof shock on her pretty (but innocent) British face.
“Who sexes the animals?” asks Dave. “You know what I mean?”
“Um, I don’t quite understand what you’re saying,” replies an obviously flustered Watson.
“My son is very fond of turtles,” says Dave. “And he will come to me with a turtle and ask me, ‘Dad, is this a boy or a girl?’ And I know how to sex a turtle.” Um, red faces all-around!
Rumors also swirled this week that the 23-year-old star has hired a former NYPD officer to act as a bodyguard – for the spellbinding sum of $150,000 for her own personal protection. A recent incident while shooting her latest film left her shaken and fearing for her life, so the word is she has hired ex-cop Denise Morrone to protect her.
Well, it has been reported that young Emma is worth a mere nearly $38 million, so I reckon she can afford a bob-or-two on a bodyguard… Don’t you!?
“Noah,” hits theaters this Friday.

As we all wait with bated breath for the 50 Shades of Grey movie to get its greenlight, we can only satisfy ourselves with all the casting rumors currently swirling around Tinseltown. The question on everyone’s lips is who will play the central lovers Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?
Names already in the frame include Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Olsen (pictured center).
This week alone, three new names were thrown into the mix: British actresses Sienna Guillory (pictured top), Emma Watson along with Angelina Jolie (reportedly being eyed up for the part of the sexually adventuresome Elena Lincoln).
Insiders have said that Watson’s innocent look could be the perfect fit for Anastasia, but it is very early days yet.
The Harry Potter actress said recently: “I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing,” Watson told Entertainment Weekly. “There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call.”
Christian Grey contenders are said to include Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth, Zac Efron, Alex Pettyfer and Vampire Diaries hunk Ian Somerhalder. Even Jake Gyllenhaal would consider playing the part of Christian, according to my Hollywood spies.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has confessed in a new interview with U.S Glamour magazine that she tries to avoid dating famous men. The actress explained that the thought of being in a showbiz couple puts her on edge.
Posing in a sexy shoot, wearing a Stella McCartney bra beneath her Zadig & Voltaire coat, and Nina Ricci dress, the British starlet states: “I try not to (celebrities). It definitely makes me nervous.
“I haven’t tried to make other celebrity friends or date people who are in my industry. It can be really superficial. I’m lucky that most of the people I’ve dated I’ve been at university with.”
Emma also admits men do not like her short, pixie-hairstyle, claiming: “I have to [grow it out] for roles, but if I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair.
“There’s no two ways about it. The majority of the boys around me were like, ‘Why did you do that? That’s such an error’. And I was like, ‘Well, honestly, I don’t really care what you think!'”
However, Miss Watson adds: “I’ve never felt so confident as I did with short hair – I felt really good in my own skin.”
Emma stars in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which hits cinemas September 21.
Glamour’s October issue is available now digitally, and on U.S newsstands next Tuesday.
