Wordies Dani Behr and Katie Puckrik Reunite at Brits in LA’s Christmas Do!
Posted on December 15th, 2011 at 10:19 am by SBGLA

Wednesday night saw me running around town with my old friend (oi, less of the old!), TV host Dani Behr, who, I have to say is looking stunning these days… Dani now resides in Sydney, Australia and is visiting Tinseltown for a bit of Christmas cheer, so with a little help from moi, that is just what she got!
First off, we pop into the Ashley Paige Boutique where Miss Paige is launching her fabulous collection of knit bikinis covered in tiny Swarovski crystals; of course, Dani went straight for the leopard print… Then she spots rocker Dave Navarro, who she hadn’t seen since she had interviewed him back in the 90′s and we lose each other for half an hour, only to find her outside the store on Sunset Boulevard having a sneaky cigarette… Naughty!
I make sure Dani chats to my good friend, American Ninja actress Judie Aronson, and then I tap my watch… It’s time to leave already, off to the next do!
Brits in LA’s Craig Young and Eileen Lee (inset pic) were throwing their Christmas extravaganza party at The Annex in Hollywood, so I thought this was the perfect place to take my date, a room full of Brits congregating to celebrate Christmas, what better… It also gave Dani a chance to catch up with someone she had not seen in nearly fifteen years… Katie Puckrik.
Katie you may remember, co-hosted with Dani on one of the biggest entertainment shows in the UK - The Word.
Every A-list star appeared on The Word – Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Arnold Schwarzenegger, you name them, they interviewed them, so it was interesting to see the two catching up for a good ol’ chinwag after so long, I literally had to prise them apart after twenty minutes!
Noticeably, Miss Puckrick smelt divine, and that’s probably because of all the free perfume she has coming through the mail these days from PR’s wanting Katie to promote their brands on her hit YouTube channel – Katie Puckrick Smells. The whiff in the air was definitely Bang by Marc Jacobs… Yummy!
I overheard the two of them discussing The Word’s potential re-launch and whether they would go back to host it if it did hit British telly screens once again… Great idea, bring back The Word, I say!
I reckon Miss Behr knows more than she is telling on this one; we will have to wait and see… With that, I tap my watch and we are off again, this time to somewhere far less glamorous, but you cannot beat scoffing on an In-N-Out Burger in the car, parked down some dodgy Hollywood side street… Yum!
Ahh, see, the ‘Behr’ necessities of life will come to you… Stinking of onions, it’s home time Dani!

British Actor Craig Robert Young Back in NCIS: Los Angeles…
Posted on July 19th, 2011 at 9:19 am by

This is a real dynamic duo if ever I saw one. No, Chris O’Donnell isn’t returning as Robin, with British actor Craig Robert Young as a new trusted sidekick (though that would be fun)… but the pair, seen here in my exclusive on-set-snap, are back starring together in the upcoming season of NCIS: Los Angeles, hitting our screens this coming fall.
I can’t give too much away, but I can tell you someone has a serious vendetta against Special Agent G. Callen played by O’Donnell, which is sure to have a grisly end.
Viewers were briefly introduced to Young’s character - Darcul Comescu - the son of a top Romanian crime family in last season’s nail-biting finale, where we also saw Hetty Lange, played by actress Linda Hunt, proclaiming to be a part of the Comescu family. The drama then went into overload leaving fans on the edge of their seats desperately wanting more…
Now, Young is back on location with the cast, but sworn to secrecy as to how it all unfolds. He did throw out a little tease for us telly-addicts however, saying that: “Things get really intense, and the ending of this episode is sure to shock even the greatest of NCIS: LA fans.”
Oo-la-la… What could he mean by that!? Sounds like another gripping plot and by far (I’m told) one of the best episodes of the series, screaming Emmy nod!
Considering NCIS: Los Angeles is the second-highest-rated scripted show on U.S TV and didn’t score a single ‘nod’ at last week’s award announcements, perhaps this episode could snag a nomination for the show next year!
The outcome is certainly a ‘bloody’ one, judging by the state of Young’s ripped sleeve and blood stained arm, courtesy of the show’s award winning make-up department. Kudos! I was wincing when I saw it.
The season premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles is on Sept 20th on CBS 8/7 Central, and if you can’t wait till then to see Mr. Young, you can catch him in the popular web series Andy and Chaz Bugger off to America at www.andyandchaz.com. Love those guys!
Andy & Chaz Bugger Off To America! To Hollywood To Be Exact…
Posted on June 30th, 2011 at 11:59 am by

When British brothers, Andy and Chaz Dobson head to states in search of the American dream, they get more than they bargained for…
Last night friends and celebrities gathered in Hollywood at Dim Mak Studios on Hollywood boulevard for a private screening of the series Andy & Chaz Bugger Off To America! currently in the works, and I have to say, it went down a storm (er, so did the free Vodka)…
On arrival, attendees including Bai Ling, and Mama Mia actor Emrhys Cooper (with his lovely mom) posed proudly for their mug shots for a sea of paps at the red carpet event.
With their motto, “Going straight has never been so crooked,” blue-collar cockneys, Andy & Chaz, played by Craig Robert Young (pictured left) and Darren Darnborough (pictured right) can’t seem to stay out of trouble and one thing leads to another, and another… and eventually this ‘bloody’ gruesome Guy Ritchie/Tarantino-esque caper which sees Chaz dismembering the body of an A-list Hollywood star with a hacksaw is out of control…
Now if that doesn’t have you all wanting to watch, then just wait till you see the scene where Andy shags a prostitute to death…say no more!
The project, the brainchild of ex Charmed star Young has been in development for over two years, but the buzz on this hilariously daring dark comedy series is only just beginning and the suits in Hollywood are starting to sit up.
Young told me, “It’s a great time for British actors to bugger off to America, we are overwhelmed with the response and attention that Andy and Chaz has garnered so far, the use of social media applications, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook has really got us noticed and helped spread the word.”
He added: “Andy and Chaz is what would happen if you put Pulp Fiction and The Hangover in a blender!”
Written and directed by talented newcomer Richard Keith (below center), Andy & Chaz Bugger Off To America! is sure to be a series you’ll get to see on a TV set in the not-so-distant future, in the meantime you can catch a sneak peak of episode one below.
All-in-all a good night was had all round, and after one too many Vodkas I scarpered for the door… I didn’t want to end up in the local nick myself having my mug shot taken – for real…er, if you get my drift…
My Verdict: Excellent series, hangovers are messy!
Me, As Penguin… A Must See Play in LA!
Posted on February 16th, 2011 at 11:55 am by

It’s hard to find a good play in Los Angeles, they are few and far between, but every now a then a gem pops up and one suddenly realizes this is something we need a lot more of. Me, As a Penguin by British playwright Tom Wells is one of those plays, giving its cast of talented actors a chance to shine, and shine they do!
The story of Stitch, played with tenderness by the incedibly skilled Brendan Hunt is a bashful young man-child from a tiny English seaside town in East Yorkshire.
Stitch leaves behind the comforts of his job in a knitting shop in the hope of finding a companion amid the gay scene and the bright city lights of Hull, to shelter with his heavily pregnant sister Liz played by Mina Badie. But, while staying with Liz and her partner Mark played by the fabulously talented Craig Young (inset pic), Stitch’s travels don’t go quite as planned when Mark, introduces Stitch to Mad Dave, a bizarre menace of a man played by Johnny Giacalone in a giant penguin suit.
Dave works at the aquarium and takes a lot of LSD, and as Stitch, Mark and Liz wade into uncharted waters, one lonely penguin’s fate hangs in the balance, leaving Stitch caught up in a rather sticky situation with ‘harsh’ Dave, a zookeeper an overdose of kelp… I’ll say no more…
Big thumbs up for this one, 5 stars indeed… You must see it!
Me, As a Penguin is playing at the Lost Studio, 130 S. La Brea Ave and L.A. runs till Mar. 6. Fri.–Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 4 p.m. (323) 960-7721

Elton’s Oscar Bash Raises Tons of Cash!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 7:58 am by Sean Borg
How quickly Oscars came around this year. It seemed I’d only just taken off my tuxedo in 2009, then BAM! It was back on again in 2010 for the best party in town – Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Party held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
This year the event raised a staggering $3.9 Million for the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Presented by Chopard, Jo and Raffy Manoukian and Neuro Drinks, the EJAF Viewing Party continues to be the leading fundraiser on Oscar night in Hollywood.
The couple’s bash has become a staple for all those without an invite to the ceremony itself and this year’s guest list read like a ‘who’s who’ to the entertainment world’s biggest names, and one of the best parties thrown by the EJAF so far (still no goodie bag however, but you can’t have everything I suppose, eh David!)
I arrived with my trademark date, the stunning diamond beauty, Zeta Graff, and the evening began with a cocktail reception, dinner and viewing of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, followed by a very exciting live auction and a high voltage performance by the iconic Grace Jones.
“I’m so blown away this year, it’s fantastic,” Elton said. “It’s our stable fundraiser for the whole year, this is by far the most important, it gets us the most publicity and it raises the most money.
“It’s hard work because you have to walk around shaking hands with everyone but when we go home and it’s all finished we’ve met people and we’ve seen great entertainment close up.”
Drawing out quite a few of our favorite celebrities, Victoria Beckham and Heidi Klum were spotted looking as elegant as ever – even Victoria (who I often label Vic-bore-ria) was far from boring when she grabbed me and gave a big hug as she exited the ladies loos, “Sean!” she yelled… “How are you? I’m a bit drunk so no photos!” OK, so Posh is back in my good books!
Not far behind the beautiful models were “Glee” co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, followed by a brunette Hayden Panettiere.
Representing the Brits this year were the likes of recently engaged Simon Cowell who was glued to his foxy fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy all night, Mel B, fashion designer Julia Clancey, Amanda Holden, Michelle Collins, Katie Price, and Sharon and Kelly Osbourne who stopped to have her picture taken with me. Kelly was one of my favorites of the evening to be honest, beaming from cheek to cheek. She told me that she was feeling on top of the world, and who could blame her, you only have to look at the transformation she has undergone – quite unbelievable.
Nicole Richie made her way into the swanky party along with Kimora Lee, Christina Hendricks, Michelle Rodriguez and the very lovely Jennifer Hudson who also stopped to chat to me, Jennifer told me she happy when she heard Simon [Cowell] was engaged: “I am so happy he is finally settling down,” she told me.
Miley Cyrus also hit the party with Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus finally confirmed what we already knew, that Liam was her official boyfriend, and Miley told the press at the event, “I think we’re both deeper than normal people—what they think and how they feel. He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.” How sweet!
It was a long day! Fabulous food, lots of chocolates and wall-to-wall celebs… I could have stayed all night and kipped (slang word for slept) in the corner till morning, but thankfully sometime just after midnight I was rescued by dear friends, British actor Craig Young and Michael Di Girolamo who dragged me into their chauffeured limo!
What fun was had, my gorgeous ‘Graff’ date, my photo with Elton, Kelly Osborne’s super-slim waist, Posh and Price all smiles, Godiva chocolates, and nearly $4 mil’ raised for charity… Ah, now I can rest my weary head, it was a night well worth it, roll-on next year!
Sam Phillips’ Boulevard of ‘Birthday’ Dreams!

There were certainly no signs of long faces OR dampened spirits at the surprise birthday bash for ‘former’ CBS radio host Sam Phillips, this week.
I arrived at the party with my best friend – actor Craig Young, and to be honest I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the night as Sam, just days before had received some very bad news regarding work… I’ll explain!
