Steve Jones for the ‘Axe-Factor’ Already? Surely Not!
Posted on October 18th, 2011 at 5:38 am by Nick Crew

Could Steve Jones be the next Brit to face the X Factor axe? We certainly hope not! But if recent reports are believed then poor ol’ Stevie boy could be set to follow Cheryl Cole towards the exit sign if the American audiences don’t start warming up to the Welshman…
I don’t understand how audiences can’t love our Steve… The ladies appear to be throwing themselves at him!
Show insiders told Heat Magazine in the UK that top executives are now considering hiring a new female co-host to assist the Steve in the upcoming live shows. This was originally the idea, to have two presenters for the show but when Cole’s seat became vacant, Nicole Scherzinger moved from co-host to judge.
As the backstage whispers swirl, rumors as to who might join Jones are already doing the rounds. Names repeatedly mentioned are fellow Brit and So You Think You Can Dance host, Cat Deeley, and reality TV star Khloe Kardashian… Not the most perfect of choices, if you ask me…
Being the ladies man he is, maybe Steve could have a say on who he wants to be his latest conquest…Oops, I meant latest co-host!
Cat Deeley Misses British Fashion in LA!
Posted on September 7th, 2011 at 2:40 pm by

Brit presenter Cat Deeley was recently spotted shopping at a farmer’s market in Brentwood, California and, judging by her outfit, she looked more Californian than British. Deeley showed off her legs in a pair of denim short-shorts that she contrasted with a half-buttoned green top.
Although Deeley is blending into the California life-style smoothly, the host of So You Think You Can Dance recently revealed to The Guardian that one thing she misses about her home country is the fashion.
Deeley explained: “No one beats the British high street, and UK fashion designers such as Stella McCartney, Christopher Bailey and Matthew Williamson are in a league of their own.”
The celebrity’s next big opportunity to show off her love for British fashion will be at the upcoming Emmy Awards, where she will be in contention for the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Programme for So You Think You Can Dance.
Speaking about what she will wear on the red carpet, Deeley said: “It’s definitely going to be something, but it’s not going to be dead-swan Bjork, Native American Cher or ballerina Lara Flynn Boyle, because I might never get nominated again. And if this is my only one time I don’t want to look back and go, “Oh, my God – what was I thinking?”
The blonde Brit added: “If I was nominated again I’d be like, “Hey, great. I’ve done the classic – now let’s really shake them up”. Then I’ll be fun. But until I get through this first one and then maybe if I get the second one, who knows? Hawaiian? Belly dancer? I don’t know!”
So You Think You Can Dance has become a hit in both America and in the UK, and the presenter is thrilled it has had such an impact. Regarding the programme, she said: “It’s about celebrating talent and passion and hard work. The American dream is alive and kicking.”
She declared: “You can be from any race, colour and creed. If you have a talent and you’re prepared to work hard, you can be anything you want to be.”
Cat appears to be living proof that the American dream is, as she says, alive and kicking. Keep living the dream Cat!
David Beckham and Cat Deeley Catch Up at the Teen Choice Awards in LA
Posted on August 8th, 2011 at 7:26 am by

British stars David Beckham and Cat Deeley seemed to be having a lot of fun last night backstage at the Teen Choice Awards in LA.
The soccer hunk was presented with the ‘Choice Male Athlete’ award with a little helping hand from sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, who joined him on stage as he graciously accepted before kicking a football into the audience. Erm, well balls are his business!
So You Think You Can Dance host Deeley, presented singer Katy Perry with ‘Choice Single’ and ‘Choice Summer’ Song for her single California Gurls.
Perry flicked a peace sign with her fingers as she thanked the audience for voting for her as the winner.
It’s been a while since Becks and Deeley have had a good catch up, my spies informed me that Cat was overheard congratulating David on the birth of his daughter Harper Seven, who was born just two weeks ago. Aww, It’s good to see our A-list Brits hobnobbing at award shows…
During the event Deeley along with LL Cool J also presented the award for Choice Movie: ’Hissy Fit’, but before naming the winner, they each got one half of the teen audience to throw a massive, screaming ‘hissy’ fit.
Cat’s side of the audience had to scream, “You don’t get it!” while LL’s side screamed, “Get out of my room!”
Um, not quite my idea of a good ol’ hissy fit, but never mind, they tried…
But regardless of how bad her onstage hissy fit was, ‘our’ sexy Cat has real staying power as her career goes from strength to strength in Hollywood.
Good on ‘that’ original ‘Cat’… that’s what we all like to see… Meow!

Cat is One Sexy Kitten!
Posted on September 17th, 2010 at 1:14 pm by
Telly presenter Cat Deeley recently showed off her sexy side while attending a cocktail party at The Club at The Ivy in London thrown by posh jewelry company Links of London.
Deeley, an ambassador for the brand, looked stunning in a shimmering purple Pucci fishtail gown that was, of course, elegantly enhanced by Links of London accessories. Cat also showed some skin in the plunging backless dress as she mingled with party guests such as fashion designer Matthew Williamson (pictured.) Who let the sexy Cat out of the bag!?!?
The gorgeous Brit has made a name for herself as host of dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance in the U.S. and earlier this year began presenting the UK version of the show on BBC One.
This Cat’s career is getting hot!
Red Hot Car… Red Hot Cat…!

Wow, what a sexy couple Cat Deeley and Jack Huston make! Clearly this pair are still going strong, contrary to reports that have stated otherwise.
Cat and Jack where out and about in East London last night where they attended the launch of the new Mini Countryman at Mudchute City Farm on the Isle of Dogs.
The stunning So You Think You Can Dance host’s career is going from strength to strength here in the US, but it’s nice to see she’s still in demand back home too. It was as if she hadn’t even left, as she was mobbed by hordes of waiting paps upon arrival to last night’s event, proving Deeley hasn’t lost her touch in the UK.
Recent rumors swirling in the industry have suggested that the telly babe might become part of the American version of X Factor when it launches here next year, however, Cat remains tight-lipped on the subject. Nevertheless Deeley’s workload appears never ending and from what I’m hearing, new offers are flooding in daily. So either way her future looks … um, dare I say … red-hot!
Hope they gave her a free car, at least …
Cat Deeley: “I Haven’t Got The X Factor”
Posted on May 10th, 2010 at 6:57 am by Sean Borg
Dear ol’ Cat Deeley answered the question on everybody’s lips on Saturday night, as she revealed she didn’t have a job (as yet) judging the X Factor when it starts here in America next year.
The stunning telly host arrived at an event in Hollywood to celebrate her good friend Matthew Williamson, who was being named ‘Designer Of The Year’, as part of BritWeek.
All sorts of rumors have been flying around since Simon Cowell announced he was quitting American Idol to launch X Factor in the US, with former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole apparently being one of Si’s favorites.
But singer Sinitta let slip recently that Cowell was considering a number of big names, including Mariah Carey. She said: “It’s amazing that so many people want to do it… it’s huge. Everybody is up for it, Mariah… ok I’m not saying anymore!”
But Cat certainly didn’t rule out the possibility of being part of the new show, she said: “You never know, providing I’m not chatting to someone else.” Oo-er, what could she mean by that?
Well, I think Cat DOES have the ‘X Factor ‘ and would make a great judge, but when you think that she’s up against the likes of Mariah, Gaga and even Madonna’s name has been whispered in my ear a few times, you can see why she might have her doubts…
However, Tinseltown has been kind to Deeley so far, so you NEVER know!
Other guests included, Jewelry designer Zeta Graff, Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Sophia Windsor, actress Jacqueline Bisset… Oh, and me…
BritWeek is an annual celebration of British people and business’ contribution to the Californian economy.
Brit Week Takes Over Tinseltown!
Posted on April 21st, 2010 at 12:17 pm by Sean Borg
The Union Jack flew proud over Hollywood on Tuesday night, where some of the UK’s biggest names as part of Brit Week 2010 gathered to celebrate.
Three generations of well-known Brit celebrities and socialites (um, me being one of them) attended the invitation-only – champagne launch party at the British Consul General’s Official Residence in Los Angeles.
Guests included, telly host Cat Deeley, Singer – Mel B, Kelly Osbourne and her model fiancé Luke Worrall and veteran actress Helen Mirren, who lauded the British for being “cool and hip” at the event, and complained that her nationality are often cast as the baddies in films.
Mirren said: “I think it’s rather unfortunate that the villain in every movie is always British, we’re such an easy target that they can comfortably make the Brits the villains,”
The event is an annual celebration of British people and business’ contribution to the Californian economy. Despite being called BritWeek, the event lasts for three weeks.
Other stars on the VIP list was Jacqueline Bisset, Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli and Lady Victoria Hervey, who, I should say looked remarkably well put together considering her appearance earlier that day when I saw her on the road back to LA, after a weekend of hard partying at Coachella…
Well-done Vicky my dear, it’s amazing what a bit of make-up can do!
Cat’s a TV Hit With Regis!
Posted on April 1st, 2010 at 8:18 am by
I’m thrilled to say Cat Deeley is certainly stamping her mark on US telly. The Sutton Coldfield lass has been one of the few Brits to genuinely ‘break’ America as a TV host with gigs on So You Think You Can Dance, but now she back in a breakfast time spot for the first time since her SM:TV days.
Cat paired up with TV ledge Regis Philbin to present Live with Regis and Kelly as a guest host while Kelly Ripa is on holiday.
And Cat did a grand job – she shared jokes with Regis and interviewed Tyler Perry - all in a fab M&S frock. Still keeping it real Cat!
And she revealed that she initially turned down her hot actor boyf Jack Huston when friends tried to set them up.
‘They said, “He’s 26 and he’s an actor”, and I said, “No way. I’m not interested. They’re as mad as a box of frogs – don’t care”.’
But she soon changed her mind.
‘I actually Googled him – and he was so handsome!’ she said.
I think Cat would be a great person to host a morning TV show on a more permanent basis – the Facebook campaign starts here!
