British Star Christine Adams Reveals a Few Terra Nova Spoilers!
Posted on November 21st, 2011 at 4:04 pm by SBGLA

It doesn’t seem that long ago that British-born babe Christine Adams made the move to the U.S, but it has been about nine years already.
Since then, Adams has found herself constantly traveling the world and racking up a rather impressive resume, not mention the airmiles, as her journey unfolds.
Now Christine finds herself in the tropical surrounds of the Gold Coast hinterland filming Steven Spielberg’s mega dinosaur romp Terra Nova, playing rebel leader Mira, the leader of a group of rebel settlers called the Sixers who gets to flesh out and has more going on than first meets the eye.
She recently said, “You’ll see that she’s a leader in her own small world, but she’s not the leader. She’s not pulling the strings all.”
The actress also teased that we will discover “more about Terra Nova and why it’s there” in the coming weeks. “There’s only a little nugget into Mira’s story. It’s gonna open up another door into her world,” Adams says, concluding with this major tease: “We’re gonna find out who the mole is.
The show has been compared to many things. The series is about a group of humans who travels from the future into the prehistoric past has the same settlers-in-a-colony vibe of Lost.
It has the CGI dinosaurs of Jurassic Park. It has Stephen Lang wearing tank tops and flexing his biceps a lot, just like in Avatar.
It’s a big network drama trying to appeal to a wide audience, she says. If that makes it middle-of-the road at times, so be it.
“Some people don’t like it, and that’s fine,” Adams told The National Post.
“But the people who like it really like it. The thing about a show like Mad Men or Breaking Bad is they don’t have to have the audience that we have to have,” she adds, and she’s right about that.
Terra Nova is trying to win viewers over with fancy effects, a cool setting and a bit of futuristic intrigue.
“You’re trying to tick a lot of boxes,” is how Adams explains it. “I think getting we’re getting there. However, if that means we have to sacrifice some other things to be successful, then I’m OK with that. Let’s not be naive about it.”
Well put Miss Adams… I for one reckon Christine is going all the way in Tinsletown; you can take my word for it!

Spielberg Casts Unknown Brit Actress, Shelley Conn, in New Project!

Welcome to Terra Nova Miss Conn!
Shelley Conn, a virtually unknown actress from London, has recently made a name for herself after winning the lead female role in a prominent new American sci-fi television series being developed for the Fox network by Steven Spielberg. Conn will portray Elisabeth Shannon, a trauma surgeon married to the lead male character played by Irish born actor Jason O’Mara. Before being cast in Terra Nova, Conn worked on various BBC productions in supporting roles.
The series is set in the year 2149 in a future where the Earth is overdeveloped, overcrowded, and overpolluted and humans are on the brink of extinction. As a result, a team of scientists create a portal to the past and select a number of people to send 100 million years back in time to start a new human colony, called Terra Nova, where they attempt to re-build human civilization. Conn’s character’s family is selected for this mission and must battle for survival in the midst of prehistoric dangers, including dinosaurs, and other sinister external threats.
The big-budgeted series will be heavily enhanced with special effects, similar to those utilized in Avatar, and is reported to cost somewhere around £100 million, making it one of the most expensive shows in broadcasting history.
Conn will begin working on Terra Nova this month in Australia and the highly anticipated sci-fi drama is expected to debut in the autumn of 2011.
Congratulations on being given the opportunity to work on such an exciting project Shelley! The role of a lifetime!
Brit Stars Get Avatar-ed!

These hilarious pics are the work of visual wiz Robert Paulson who’s given eighteen stars, including Lily Allen, Susan Boyle and Gordon Ramsay, an Avatar makeover.
And I don’t know about you, but I think Amy Winehouse looks pretty good as a Na’vi – the blue skin is a big improvement on the sallow complexion and scabby skin she was sporting at the height of her ‘troubles’ anyway!
Robert, 22, is a student in San Francisco who started the project after seeing the sci-fi smash, and each picture takes around two hours to complete.
He said: “I can never get the look of the yellow eyes, with their hypnotic irises and pupils and the Na’vi’s glowing dots to my satisfaction – yet. I must have spent over 200 hours on this project so far. But jokes aside, it has given me a huge appreciation of the skill and detail and genius of James Cameron and his team on a technical level.”
Robert says he’s just finished college and is now looking for a job. Maybe Jim can find him a spot on Avatar 2. You never know Robert… You never know!
