Like father, like son… Who knew Simon Cowell could produce something so cute? His son, Eric, is now 7 months old — and the bigger he gets, the more he looks like his daddy!
The former American Idol judge and creator of The X Factor franchise shared on Wednesday on Twitter a photo of himself appearing with his adorable baby boy Eric.
The father and son duo are spending some quality time together holidaying on a luxury yacht. In the pics, the 54-year-old can be seen proudly holding his six-month-old son; both are shirtless as they rock their matching aviator sunglasses. Taking after daddy,” Simon captioned the photo for his 10.2 million Twitter followers.
Also spotted in the pic: The man once dubbed “Mr. Nasty” is smiling. With a kid that cute, who wouldn’t?
Cowell’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman gave birth to Eric, the couple’s first child together, this past Valentine’s Day.
In March, Cowell said he did not rule out having more children, saying he was “born” to be a dad.
The reality star had shared on Twitter the first photos of Eric, then two days old, saying, “Now you can see how very handsome little Eric is.”
“Very handsome like his dad,” he added alongside another photo that he tweeted on May 5.
Hmm, love the pic Si’ but let’s hope little Eric keeps away from your high-waisted pants for a while!

TV’s Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell has finally gone all gooey!
The X Factor UK judge showed his softer side as he took to Twitter to reveal the name of his new baby boy with Lauren Silverman!
“Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome,” the 54-year-old the first-time dad tweeted.
In the released shots, Cowell tenderly holds his newborn son saying: “I never knew how much love and pride I would feel.”
Proud Simon couldn’t contain his excitement following the arrival of Eric on Friday and posted a series of heart melting pictures of the three-day-old on his Twitter account.
He told his 9.5million followers: “Now you can see how very handsome little Eric is” as he was photographed gently holding his hand while touching his face as the baby slept.
Another picture, all of which were posted in black and white tonight, showed him cradling diaper-donning newborn as exhausted mum Lauren Silverman beamed with delight.
Simon wrote: “Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old.”
However the most touching image showed the former “American Idol” judge holding his son to his chest as he slept.
Within minutes, the picture had gone viral, leading to more than 23,000 rewteets worldwide within an hour of it being posted.
The pair brought their new bouncing bundle of joy home from Lenox Hill Hospital on Sunday as the beaming music mogul held tightly onto little Eric’s car seat while his partner Silverman walked beside him as they arrived at the St Regis Hotel.
Well-done Simon… Who’d have thought this of you a year ago? See, miracles can happen!

X Factor supremo Simon Cowell is being animated for a new Channel 4 (UK) television comedy – Full English.
In the cartoon, the mogul will be seen stripped naked wearing nothing but a white towel covering his naughty bits as he relaxes in his own self-named sauna – “Simon’s Sauna”.
The show, which begins on November 12, centers on the dysfunctional “Johnson” family, featuring parents Edgar and Wendy, and children Eve, Jason and Dusty.
And Cowell will feature in the very first episode, which spoofs Britain’s Got Talent, seeing daughter Eve auditioning with her band.
A misunderstanding leads Cowell to take pity on Eve and he ends up putting her through to the final.
The IT Crowd’s Richard Ayoade and Fonejacker’s prankster Kayvan Novak are among those voicing the characters.
This isn’t the first time that Simon Cowell has been parodied in cartoon form. The 53-year-old previously appeared in two episodes of The Simpsons, first in 2004 as a hard-to-please nursery admissions officer, and as himself in 2010 in a season finale, which centered on American Idol.
I can’t wait to see this!

“Wannabe” … ‘A Mockumentary about talent that should stay undiscovered.’
Released August 10, exclusively on Facebook.

After 7 long years a project created by British actor Craig Robert Young (pictured) and American director Richard Keith is finally getting the audience it deserves, and it all thanks to Facebook.
Wannabe, billed as ‘A Mockumentary about talent that should stay undiscovered,’ is a semi-autobiographical tale loosely based on Craig Robert Young’s experience in the cutthroat music industry.
The film follows the lives of a struggling boyband who are desperate to be discovered by Hollywood’s bigwigs.
Craig himself was once part of the UK chart-topping quintet Deuce, so, if anyone knows a thing or two about the fickle world of pop music, he does.
The film originally saw the light of day back in 2006 on the indie festival circuit where it was acquired by Warner Brothers Television studios.
Warners then placed TV producing powerhouse, and creator of Friends, Marta Kauffman in charge of the project, with the aim to turn “Wannabe” into a TV sitcom.
Typically, as is often the case in Tinseltown, just as the series was about to get the greenlight changes were made behind the scenes at the studio and “Wannabe” was shelved for a life in development hell.
But recently, the rights were returned Young and Keith, which gave them the chance to release the movie using the wonders of modern technology.
Now, the film with nine lives has been picked up by Silicon Valley megabucks start-up company FutureLeap who have secured the rights to the flick.
Their primary goal is to give independent filmmakers like Young and Keith a platform to self distribute their material using the powers of social media.
Young said: “I am thrilled we were chosen to be the first independent film on Futureleap’s slate, hopefully this will be the ‘new normal’ for filmmakers worldwide to get their movies seen.
“I reckon the public will enjoy Wannabe, because at its heart, it’s a story of perseverance, and never giving up despite rejection.
“Anyone who has had their fill of reality competitions such as American Idol, X Factor and So You Think You Can Dance, will get a kick out of watching this film,” he added.
“Wannabe” also boasts of a few celebrity cameos too, which include Matt Dallas of Kyle XY fame, Adam Huss star of Cinemax’s Femme Fatales, Oscar winner, Octavia Spencer and The Help‘s director Tate Taylor, all of whom appear briefly in the film (um, before they were famous).
Young tells me the best advice given in this movie is in the delivery of the casting director Janice Peterson, played by Carole Ita White. Her hilarious one liner states, “Keep your legs open, and your mouth shut!”
I reckon that just about sums up showbiz… I wonder if Simon Cowell would agree with that?!

Television mogul Simon Cowell believes he will never get married, because, he reckons, “no one would want to marry me”.
Aww, violins at the ready!
The 52-year-old British X Factor boss has revealed he drives his lovers mad while staying up all night on the phone doing business calls and fears it might be too late to have children.
Cowell, who split with fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy earlier this year, added: “I’m difficult to live with. I’m selfish, quite weird — and I need time on my own.”
And he also admitted that he thought he might have left it too late to have kids.
He explained: “I worry about that. If they could be born at the age of five, I’d quite like that. I’m not sure if I could deal with the ‘ga ga goo’ thing.”
The thought of Simon changing dirty diapers is a funny one I have to say…

It wasn’t too long ago that Britney Spears was judged mentally incapable of handling her own finances, however, she certainly seems to have pulled her life together in the last year.
Now, the word is that Spears is close to becoming a judge on Simon Cowell’s X Factor U.S.
I hear that Spears’ fiancé and agent, Jason Trawick is currently negotiating a contract believed to be worth a whopping $15 million, and that’s more than J-Lo earns on American Idol! Oo-er…
According to sources, if talks go to plan then a deal could be finalized as soon as next week.
In January, Cowell dramatically fired judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, which means if Spears joins L.A. Reid as a judge, there will still be one more spot to be filled, with LeAnn Rimes as the frontrunner after Janet Jackson turned down a big money offer to appear.
‘That’ Cowell sure knows how to pick ‘em… If Britney accepts the offer, it’ll be interesting to see how she copes with live television on a weekly basis… Surely, that is one potential worry crossing the minds of network bosses, especially with such large megabucks on the table…
So Britney, if you do take the job, NO trademark meltdowns allowed!

I was wondering how long it would take before the U.S media started tearing into X Factor host Steve Jones, after Simon Cowell handed the Welsh hunk the job of a lifetime.
Disappointingly, Jones’ performance on the show has received less-than-positive feedback, with reviewers who appear to be lining up to slam his presenting skills.
The 34-year-old ex-model was poised to become as big as American Idol star Ryan Seacrest, but so far hasn’t received many plaudits of the show, which launched in America on Wednesday night.
The New York Times has described Jones as ‘utterly irrelevant,’ while The Boston Herald‘s Mark A Perigard said he ‘is so far in the background, he might as well be on another network.’
Initially Jones was set to team up with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, but she has since moved to the judging panel after Cheryl Cole was axed from the position.
But to be fair on poor Jonesy, it is only the first week and most of what we saw on the fist show was filmed months ago, the real test for Steve will come when the show goes live. By then hopefully his nerves would have had time to calm down and we’ll get to see him shine the way us Brits have on telly back in the UK… Personally, I didn’t think ol’ Stevie-boy was all that bad!
