Unearthed… ‘Housewives’ Star Lisa Vanderpump’s 1980s Pop Video!

I knew there was something familiar about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump…

On further investigation of Vanderpump’s colorful past I have discovered that the successful Bravo reality series is not her first foray into television.
The gorgeous, and I would go so far as to say sexy Brit (since I’ve been up close – ahem, see my pic…), was once the muse, big hair and all, for British ‘New Romantic’ band ABC and appeared in several of their 1980s music videos, including Poison Arrow…
In the video, which resurfaced this week, Vanderpump plays Samantha, a seductress who shrinks ABC’s lead singer Martin Fry with one blow of her magical compact powder and later poses with a bow and arrow. Ooh, the power of that woman!
And if you ask me, she has hardly aged a day since…
But it doesn’t stop there, according to her IMDb page; Lisa appeared in many TV shows back in the ’80s and ’90s, including Baywatch Nights and Silk Stalkings. She even made her way on to the big screen, appearing in the 1995 film Separate Lives with James Belushi and Linda Hamilton.
Not bad Ms. Vanderpump… It seems fame was always on the cards for you!

Sharon Osbourne to Co-host New US Show!

Sharon Osbourne is following in the footsteps of her fellow America’s Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan, by taking on hosting duties of a major American network television talk show. The former X Factor judge will join five other women to co-host a new CBS daily daytime programme meant to replace the soap opera As The World Turns, which is about to finish a 54-year run.
The matriarch of the Osbourne clan will host alongside Sara Gilbert, who played Darlene on the American comedy series Roseanne; Holly Robinson Peete, most recently seen on Celebrity Apprentice; Marissa Jaret Winokur, Broadway actress; Leah Remini, from The King of Queens, and Julie Chen, host of the American version of Big Brother. The name and launch date of the new show have not yet been announced.
One can’t help but consider this new talk show to be CBS’s copy of rival network ABC’s successful The View, but I’m guessing people would rather watch Shazza over Barbara Walters any day! Score one more for the Brits taking over American telly!
‘View’ Do You Think You Are Posh?

After showing off her new collection at the opening of New York fashion week, Victoria Beckham got to do something I reckon she loves doing even more, which is showing herself off, on US chat show - The View.
On the show Vic told how she was sick of being considered the ‘funny’ one in her marriage to David Beckham.
“Everybody says “David’s so handsome and she’s so funny” – I’m sick of being the funny one,” she said.
The 35 year-old singer turned fashionista is really stepping up her game these days and won adulation for a ‘masterful execution’ with her third dress collection, once again the media was unanimous in its praise for her stunning creations.
At her fashion show earlier this week Victoria proudly told reporters, “This is my third collection, and I wanted to push myself, but I also wanted to be respectful of my customer,” she said. “I want her to know she can rely on me.”
She added, “I know I used to be in a pop group and I’m married to a footballer– a very lovely footballer. But I’m grateful that people are prepared to leave their preconceptions at the door and let the dresses speak for themselves. The sell-through has been amazing.”
Well it has to be said, Victoria is certainly making her mark in the world of fashion, um… finally.. and even my east coast spies who know her well, personally informed me that “Posh rocked it this year!”
So I think it’s only fair that I too start leaving my preconceptions of the former Spice Girl at the door, we all have our bad hair days don’t we Posh, so it’s white flags at dawn dear, I forgive you for your moodiness… Finally!
