Elton’s Oscar Bash Raises Lots of Cash!

How quickly Oscars came around this year. It seemed I’d only just taken off my tuxedo in 2009, then BAM! It was back on again in 2010 for the best party in town – Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Party held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

This year the event raised a staggering $3.9 Million for the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Presented by Chopard, Jo and Raffy Manoukian and Neuro Drinks, the EJAF Viewing Party continues to be the leading fundraiser on Oscar night in Hollywood. The couple’s bash has become a staple for all those without an invite to the ceremony itself and this year’s guest list read like a ‘who’s who’ to the entertainment world’s biggest names, and one of the best parties thrown by the EJAF so far (still no goodie bag however, but you can’t have everything I suppose, eh David!)

I arrived with my trademark date, the stunning diamond beauty, Zeta Graff, and the evening began with a cocktail reception, dinner and viewing of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, followed by a very exciting live auction and a high voltage performance by the iconic Grace Jones.

“I’m so blown away this year, it’s fantastic,” Elton said. “It’s our stable fundraiser for the whole year, this is by far the most important, it gets us the most publicity and it raises the most money.

“It’s hard work because you have to walk around shaking hands with everyone but when we go home and it’s all finished we’ve met people and we’ve seen great entertainment close up.”

Drawing out quite a few of our favorite celebrities, Victoria Beckham and Heidi Klum were spotted looking as elegant as ever – even Victoria (who I often label Vic-bore-ria) was far from boring when she grabbed me and gave a big hug as she exited the ladies loos, “Sean!” she yelled… “How are you? I’m a bit drunk so no photos!” OK, so Posh is back in my good books!

Not far behind the beautiful models were “Glee” co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, followed by a brunette Hayden Panettiere.

Representing the Brits this year were the likes of recently engaged Simon Cowell who was glued to his foxy fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy all night, Mel B, fashion designer Julia Clancey, Amanda Holden, Michelle Collins, Katie Price, and Sharon and Kelly Osbourne who stopped to have her picture taken with me. Kelly was one of my favorites of the evening to be honest, beaming from cheek to cheek. She told me that she was feeling on top of the world, and who could blame her, you only have to look at the transformation she has undergone – quite unbelievable.

Nicole Richie made her way into the swanky party along with Kimora Lee, Christina Hendricks, Michelle Rodriguez and the very lovely Jennifer Hudson who also stopped to chat to me, Jennifer told me she happy when she heard Simon [Cowell] was engaged: “I am so happy he is finally settling down,” she told me.

Miley Cyrus also hit the party with Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus finally confirmed what we already knew, that Liam was her official boyfriend, and Miley told the press at the event, “I think we’re both deeper than normal people—what they think and how they feel. He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.” How sweet!

It was a long day! Fabulous food, lots of chocolates and wall-to-wall celebs… I could have stayed all night and kipped (slang word for slept) in the corner till morning, but thankfully sometime just after midnight I was rescued by dear friends, British actor Craig Young and Michael Di Girolamo who dragged me into their chauffeured limo!

What fun was had, my gorgeous ‘Graff’ date, my photo with Elton, Kelly Osborne’s super-slim waist, Posh and Price all smiles, Godiva chocolates, and nearly $4 mil’ raised for charity… Ah, now I can rest my weary head, it was a night well worth it, roll-on next year!

Solo Spice Sings Again!

CelebXS in the News of the World is reporting that former Spice Girl - Melanie Brown is back in the studio recording tracks for her upcoming solo album. The singer also revealed she is writing her own lyrics too, whoopdedoo!

Mel B told my pal Dan Wooton: “I was in the studio last week – I’ve only done a handful of tracks,”

She said: “I’m waiting to find a sound that I’m happy with but I’m writing all my own stuff. I’ve got a lot going on this year but I’m making time to be in the studio. I was in there till five in the morning. I always find at night, when you’ve put the kids to bed, you can get into your zone.”

Mel, who will be at Sir Elton John’s star studded Oscar bash tonight (as will I), added: “To do an album takes time and energy. You can’t have distractions going on.”

Scary also made clear it’s full steam ahead for the Spice Girls musical, currently being written by Mamma Mia mastermind Judy Craymer.

The last time I saw Mel we were hanging out together at Hyde Club in Hollywood, where I was creating a distraction for her so that she could have a sneaky cigarette behind hubby Stephen Belafonte’s back.

Let’s hope Mel’s finally packed in her ciggy habit as she’ll need to save that voice for song!

Lips Ahoy! Katie Price Parties With Her New Face in LA…

With so many Brits running around Hollywood right now, some haven’t got a hope in hell of getting noticed, but others – like Katie Price – just can’t avoid the paparazzi scrum.

I like Katie… No, I really I do! But sometimes I think that the little miss needs a lesson (or two) in social etiquette.

I bumped into her at the Château Marmont the other night as she dined with soccer hardman turned actor, Vinnie Jones, and his wife Tanya.

Was it really only a year ago I hung out with Katie and her ex-hubby Peter Andre at Elton John’s Oscar bash? My how time flies. Look how much has changed in her life, a new husband and um, her very pouty new lips. At least that’s how they looked to me, those beauties appeared even bigger and better than the last pair she had!

All seemed well, though KP did come across rather nervous about the amount of dodgy British journalists loitering around her table desperate to fill their columns back in the UK (er, but not of me of course, eh Kate?)

After Katie broke the ice with a warm: “Hi Sean, how are you?” I looked over and replied with a genuine comment on how good she looked, though I couldn’t help wondering if she truly believed me, as she just stared back at me with a vacant look.

Is she that insecure? Or is it that she has the attention span of a goldfish? Anyway, Pricey was far more concerned about texting from her Blackberry than chatting to her dinner guests. At one point Vinnie [Jones] even looked over and shouted: “Oi, who you texting now?” and Katie replied: “I’m texting Alex [Reid]!”

OK, so it all makes sense now, there was me thinking Katie was on some self-promotional trip to LA LA land yet again, but now I hear she followed her new husband Alex Reid over here, probably to keep an eye on him. Reid is currently in Southern California filming scenes for his new reality martial arts TV show.

Katie, codependency is a word widely used here in Hollywood, look it up, don’t fall into the habit of being too into your man… or your lips for that matter love!

You Can’t Hide From Your Exes in Hollywood Kel!

Wow, I can’t believe Oscar week is already upon us folks and the obligatory round of hobnobbing and celebrity shoulder rubbing has begun!

Last night I spied an awkward moment that arose between two former lovers, Kelly Brook and Jason Statham when they had the uncomfortable post-breakup ’so how are you?’ encounter at the annual Hollywood Domino Gala in Beverly Hills.

Kelly attended (without boyfriend Danny Cipriani) along with Hollywood stars including Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Camilla Belle, Matt Dillon, Olivier Martinez, director Paul Haggis and socialite Nicky Hilton – and so did Jason.

The ex-couple were in the same room for the first time since Jason snubbed Kel at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last September.

Jason, 37, is said to have avoided Kelly at the GQ event because he didn’t want his new girlfriend to meet her. A source in The Daily Mail says: ‘Rather than risk an awkward encounter, he didn’t sit down for dinner straight away.

‘It was a pretty awkward situation. Kelly’s name is a no-go with Jason’s friends – no reference was made to her being there all night.’

Ooh chilly! Maybe Jason’s still annoyed because there seemed to be a little, er, overlap between Kelly ending her relationship with Jason and starting one with Billy Zane.

Hmm, just maybe…

Drew’s That Girl With Top Telly Doc?

My first glance at this picture made me wonder what was the story going on behind it, but don’t start jumping to conclusions just yet, everybody!

No, former 80’s wild child Emma Ridley does not have a drug problem, nor has she signed up to star on Dr Drew’s ‘Celebrity Rehab,’ but Emma is doing a new TV show with the USA’s famous telly Doc.

Emma has just signed up for a new show that FremantleMedia are currently putting together called ‘Child in Charge’ which sees Dr Drew Pinsky strategically place his sidekick for the series, an intelligent 13 year-old kid, in the homes of America’s most dysfunctional families. Step forward Ridley!

Now let’s face it, from what we read in the papers on Ridley back in the day, she appeared to have quite a bit of an unconventional upbringing herself, thus making her a perfect candidate for Pinsky’s new series, so say the producers anyway.

Ridley, who is about to sign a big bucks deal to star in her own reality show ‘Spoiled Rotten’, told me: “It was very hard being under Dr Drew’s spotlight, and being grilled about my childhood for the whole of America to see was a bit tough. But there was something ever so therapeutic about it all too.”

I guess it’s never too late to talk it out – find out how Emma got on when the series starts late spring. Let’s just hope that Emma’s inner rebellious teenager didn’t lead the 13-year-old off the rails. That’s a whole other reality series waiting to happen!

Leona’s All Skin and Bone-r!

Leona Lewis has slimmed down from a size 14 to a size 10 after undergoing a major detox while in LA recording her album. And now she says she feels less self-conscious about her weight than she used to.

But I think she may have taken it a bit too far. Leona looks gorgeous, as always, in the pics, but she’s getting a bit too skinny for my liking. I hope being in La La land hasn’t got to her because I think I prefer her with a few more curves!

Apparently Leona winced when a member of her team told Grazia magazine that she’s lost weight recently, saying ‘That’s what everyone’s been saying but I’m quite an average size. I’ve always been conscious of my weight.’

Surely if you’ve dropped two dress sizes though, you’d know about it!

And admits that being famous also makes her more self-conscious about what she wears.

The sexy star admits: ‘Now I sometimes feel like I can’t wear certain things, so I’ve stopped looking at photos of myself. You become more self-conscious.’

You’re gorge Leona – but don’t lose any more weight please!

Patz Just The Way It Goes, Girls!

That’s the sounds of a million Twi-hard hearts breaking as superVamp RPatz finally ‘fesses up that he’s going out with his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. Sigh.

At a post-BAFTA bash on Sunday night Rob finally admitted the worst kept secret in Hollywood – well maybe there’s a few more, but I couldn’t possibly reveal them.

The pair have been going to crazy lengths to keep their romance secret. They arrived separately at the awards and didn’t sit together. Kristen even had more security with her than Prince William! I know those Twi-hards are crazy but that’s a bit extreme, love. If I was with Rob I wouldn’t care who knew!

Bumbling RPatz told The Sun: ‘It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes.

‘We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy.

‘We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.’

But at the post-awards dinner, they were all over each other, and sloped off together at midnight. Something tells me the off-screen version of their romance isn’t as chaste as Bella and Edward’s in the Saga books. Fangtastic!

Li-Lo plans to lie low – in Britain!

Lock up your sons! (And daughters!) Wildchild Lindsay Lohan is planning on moving from La La-Land to London.

After spending a week partying in the capital (sorry – I mean throwing fundraisers for Haiti) she tweeted: “Moving to the UK is in my near future,’ and then said: ‘better dj’s/music and Paris is just a Chunnel away!”

Lindz has spent all week doing interviews with The Sun newspaper, talking candidly about her drug abuse and stormy relationship with Samantha Ronson.

The 23-year-old describes her terror at collapsing in her bathroom after taking Ambien, her three stints in rehab and how she still loves Sam but felt that the Ronson family came between them.

“I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to,” she says.

But she still drinks, and reckons she’s allowed to have the odd tipple because she er, ‘knows her limits’. I hope so Li-Lo – otherwise fourth time’s a charm for rehab right my dear?
