Our little Sally Sparrow (from Doctor Who) is all grown up now, looking very sophisticated and glamorous.

Brit actress Carey Mulligan recently joined her co-stars Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, and director Oliver Stone at the Cannes Film Festival to promote their film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. With little happening at Cannes to write home about this year, Muligan’s appearance definitely added a touch of glamor and allure to the festival.

In the Wall Street sequel, Mulligan plays Winnie, the estranged daughter of Michael Douglas’s character, Gordon Gekko. I say her naturally innocent-looking demeanor made her the perfect person to counter-balance the dodgy-looking Wall Street cast.

Scheduled to be released September 24th, this is Mulligan’s first major Hollywood studio film.

Maybe ‘Rude’ Law wants to get Sienna up the aisle before anything – or anyone – comes between them again, but word on the street is that the re-loved up couple is planning a summer wedding.

Apparently, Sienna wants a ‘bohemian’ wedding at her Gloucestershire home (Does this mean we’ll all be digging out our early 2000s Sienna-esque ‘boho chic’ maxi dresses come August?) and wants her sister Savannah to design the dress. The sisters run the twenty8twelve line together.

However, at the moment sources say the plans are under wraps. A friend told The Daily Mail: ‘They don’t want to jinx things by talking about it, but they have told their nearest and dearest that they would like to get married in the summer.’

The source added: ‘Sienna is also saying that she has some other really exciting news, but she is not saying anything to anyone at the moment.’

Other news, eh? What could it be? Watch this space folks, or maybe keeping watch on Sienna’s super-slim figure might be more revealing…

Elton John looked like he was enjoying himself at the Almay Ball in New York yesterday, and I can see why!

Surrounded by hot, half-naked dancers he gave a brilliant performance of Madonna’s Like A Virgin at the concert that benefited Sting’s charity, the Rainforest Foundation.

He also joined the other stars, Lady GaGa, Sting, Debbie Harry, Bruce Springsteen and Shirley Bassey in a rendition of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’.

If doing my bit for charity can involve those seven dancers, then count me in!

Just one question: what’s the guy on the right pointing at?!

The publicity push for Twilight: Eclipse has started and now even Oprah’s dying to know whether Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart are an item. The status of the two stars’ relationship is usually off-limits to journalists but Oprah’s, well, Oprah and so can ask what ever she wants!

The Big O asked the question on her show yesterday, and the pair tried to deflect the question.

Kristin looked uncomfortable but Robert took it all in his stride and joked with the chat show queen: “Kristen’s pregnant.”

The 20-year-old actress looked awkward and tried to get in on the joke, saying, “He really likes to shock people because he thinks it’s funny.”

She continued: “We’ve actually had this conversation…” before realising her mistake and adding: “He’s having the baby because I can’t. Imagine a baby coming out of this thing. That’s just not going to happen.” Errrr….did she just make a reference to her, ahem, bits?

Kristin seems pretty ill at ease in interview situations at the best of times but you’d have thought she’d be used to the Twilight circus by now. I’m guessing her ‘people’ have told her to keep birth references to a minimum from now on!

…or at least he pretends to.

Colin Farrell fans can add another movie to their must-see lists, as the Irish actor has just been cast in the film Cosmopolis, based on the novel of the same name written by Don DeLillo.

Farrell will star opposite French actress Marion Cotillard. Attached to direct is David Cronenberg, who also wrote the screenplay.

Cosmopolis tells the story of young multi-billionaire asset manager Eric Packer (Farrell) who loses all of his money in one day. Cotillard will portray the wife of the finance mogul. Principal photography is scheduled to take place next spring in Toronto and NYC.

I’m not certain the star of Daredevil, S.W.A.T., and Miami Vice is the best choice to play this cosmopolitan character; however, I reckon all we can do is hope for the best from Colin and the gang.

The 34 year old can next be seen later this year alongside Keira Knightley in the film London Boulevard, currently wrapping in the U.K. capital city. In this flick Farrell plays a convicted criminal. No offense Colin, but your London Boulevard role sounds like a perfect fit for you.

Wild-child Peaches Geldof was on her best behavior last night attending an LA party under the watchful eye of her father, Live Aid hero Sir Bob Geldof.

The 21-year-old socialite has been working on rebuilding her damaged reputation of late, after being dropped from a high-profile modeling contract with lingerie giants Ultimo when naked photos of her appeared on the Internet.

Appearing well coiffed (and somewhat over fake-tanned!) as she arrived hand-in-hand with current boyfriend Eli Roth at Teddy’s club at the Roosevelt Hotel, Peaches posed happily for the cameras, and did her best ‘butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth’ act.

Could this be a new Peaches we see? Well, Daddy was just a few feet behind so I doubt it, more than likely this good-girl ‘act’ was just for him.

Maybe Sir Bob is taking a leaf out of Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears’, book and keeping a tighter rein on his daughter by staying close. After all, the party was hosted by trendy mag Nylon – not exactly Bob’s usual cup of Fairtrade tea when it comes to social events!

Aww, what a cute pic… Orlando Bloom was all smiles while walking pet pooch Frankie – a little Yorkshire terrier through the street’s of West Hollywood yesterday.

One reason for The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s big grin could be because he’d just found out that “bling ring” robber ‘associate’, Alexis Neiers had just received 6 months in County Jail after reaching a deal with prosecutors. This meant he didn’t have to testify in court, something he was prepared to do.

The Pretty Wild star was placed on three years felony probation and ordered to stay away from the actor’s home. Neiers plead no contest, and ordered to surrender by June 24.

On a lighter note, Frankie the dog, couldn’t have been more comfortable as he sat snuggled in Bloom’s arm – a place where many wouldn’t mind being.

He said recently: “He [Frankie] is kind of aloof with people, but he’s a good dog,”

Who wouldn’t behave themselves while being in your arms, Mr. Bloom!

You might remember Nicola Collins (pictured right) and her twin sister Teena, from Guy Richie’s gangster flick, Snatch.

Well, Nicola is now an award winning director, as well as a celebrity and fashion photographer and this Saturday sees the launch of her first introspective photographic exhibition Love them & leave them.

The showing features a collection of 45 images of abandoned sofas encountered by chance on the streets of Los Angeles.

As one of the official BritWeek events, Love them & leave them is running from the 16th-29th May at the R&R gallery, 929 East 2nd street Suite: 106, Los Angeles CA 90012, Tel: 213.626.2261 for viewing appointments.
