The Osbourne’s Pet Bulldog Lola Passes Away Aged 12…

Very sad news for LA based British family the Osbournes this week, after reality TV star-turned-talk show host Sharon Osbourne broke the news on Twitter that their beloved pet Bulldog Princess Lola has passed away at the age of 12. She tweeted, ”Lola you brought love, companionship, and fun into our home for 12 years. You will never be forgotten. Love momma.”
Fans of the clan’s MTV show The Osbournes will recall, the pooch was certainly a star in her own right as she could often be seen leaving her mark all over the house. Princess Lola even had her own Twitter page and more than 9,000 followers…
Jack Osbourne - who is expecting his first child with fiancée Lisa Stelly - later took to twitter himself writing: “Lola you brought love, companionship, and fun into our home for 12 years.” He then thanked his army of followers saying, ”Thank you all for the kind words about @PrincessLolaO it’s nice to know she was loved by so many people.”
Our condolences go out to Jack and the entire Osbourne family on the loss of their pet. Un December the family said goodbye to their 14-year-old Chihuahua Martin, so at least Lola will have plenty of play pals to run around with in dog heaven.
R.I.P Lola, may you find many new couches to tear up!
Introducing Rhys Ifans Spider-Man’s New Nemesis The Lizard!

The Amazing Spider-Man is due to hit our big screens this summer, and while Andrew Garfield is getting into the swing of playing the lead role, British actor Rhys Ifans is getting to grips with playing his arch nemesis, that slimy, evil character, The Lizard...
But let’s be honest it, this kind of role can’t be too difficult for Ifans to play, he must be used to playing slimy characters by now, he’s played enough of them!
Ifans begins the film as Dr. Curt Connors, but after mixing his DNA with that of a lizard’s, he is transformed into…well, into The Lizard, that green scaly villain who goes head to head with Spider-Man.
The actor, 43, recently revealed how thrilled he was for the opportunity of taking on the unusual role: “Well the shooting process was just thrilling, it’s such a huge film, with a huge budget, it was amazing.”
“I hope we do it justice. These are not just American heroes, they’re heroes for all of humanity.”
I for one cannot wait for the return of the new web-slinging Spider-Man and looking forward to seeing how evil Ifans can be. However, it remains to be seen if Ifan’s Lizard can succeed where the likes of Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman and Venom already have, only time will tell!
Jonny Lee Miller to Play Sherlock Holmes on U.S TV!

British Actor Jonny Lee Miller is set to play Sherlock Holmes in a new U.S Television update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s famous detective stories.
Entertainment Weekly reports, the proposed CBS show Elementary, will center on the life of the famous sleuth as he solves mysteries in contemporary New York, however this modern day Holmes will work as a private investigator in the city.
Miller, known for movies such as Trianspotting, and Æon Flux, already has an impressive number U.S TV credits under his belt, having played the title role in legal drama Eli Stone and more recently the popular recurring character Jordan Chase in the fifth season of Dexter.
This is great news for Miller, if the pilot is picked up a series will be made in time for the autumn… Although I reckon this is sure to ruffle a few feathers at the BBC if Elementary even slightly resembles their already highly popular and groundbreaking Sherlock series…
We will just have to wait and see!
Victoria Beckham Woos New York with Military-Inspired Chic!

As hubby David Beckham sits proudly in the front row next to fashion goddess Anna Wintour, his wife Victoria is probably chewing her nails off backstage…
And even though Mrs. Beckham doesn’t talk like a fashion designer of the classical couturier tradition, this lady is rapidly achieving the success of one!
Beckham showed off her latest collection at New York Fashion Week earlier this week and if there is still doubt about her credibility in the fashion world, this fall collection should erase all of that.
The dresses were extremely figure flattering with references to athletic wear like rugby stripes and polo shirt collars and the use of colors like green and olive, rendered in shapes that would make the wearer look long and lean.
What she sent down the catwalk was a collection of stylish well-made clothes that any woman would want to be seen in. What was new were the military elements – epaulettes, gold buttons, a python-lined long trench coat, with plenty of khaki – interspersed with double-looped thin leather belts at the waist, criss-crossed shoulders on open-backed garments.
Beckham said in her show notes that she wanted ‘to explore how clothes can make women feel when they put them on and how to create an emotional attachment between the garment and the wearer. The idea of how the body can connect to the clothes through their construction and detail fascinates me.’
It was truly a family affair for the Beckham’s; Victoria even celebrated her seven-month-old daughter, Harper, who was honored in the form of a new handbag named after her… Aww, lucky little thing!
Get ready for BRITS IN LA’s tribute to the Oscars, The 5th Annual Toscars, 2012!

On the 21st February the much-awaited award ceremony The Toscars will be held at Hollywood’s premier venue The Supperclub. Non other than the Queen’s favorite British comedian and BAFTA winner Jim Tavare will host this fun filled event, which has been rumored to be the most fun attendees will have during the awards season!
A panel of celebrity experts will judge the short parodies of the 9 Oscar nominated films including multiple EMMY winner and Oscar writer Bruce Vilanch, one of Hollywood’s favorite TV and Film stars Skeet Ulrich, 80′s icon Siobhan Fahey from Bananarama and Perez Hilton’s favorite Drew Droege as Chloe Sevigny.
The glamorous red carpet awards ceremony ‘The Toscars’ is now in it’s 5th year and will benefit The Actors Fund. As soon as the 2012 Oscar nominees for best picture were announced, plots were written, actors were cast and it was time for ‘lights, camera, action’ to film these humorous parodies.
Last year The King Speak took the Toscar. Other coveted awards are given to the best ‘Whactress’ or ‘Whactor’ of the night. Actors starring in the films are from hits like True Blood, NCIS:LA, Fringe, Desperate Housewives and a special aerial Performance by cirque artist Michael Lipari is set to wow the audience.
Previous years have seen British celebrities Michael Sheen, Luke Evans and Chris O’Dowd enjoy in the festivities.
This year will be bigger and better then ever. Who will win the 2012 Toscar and be gifted the golden fist? We will find out on February 21st.

New Spider-Man Trailer Shows Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy Having a Snog!

A new preview for the rebooted Spider-Man movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, premiered recently and the trailer offers fans a more indicative illustration of what to expect from the upcoming superhero flick.
The promotional clip reveals several dark action scenes and gives viewers a closer look at British star Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger and rising ingénue Emma Stone as his love interest, Gwen Stacy.
Some details of the story are also unveiled including the premise that Peter Parker is living with both his Aunt May, portrayed by Sally Field, and Uncle Ben, played by Martin Sheen. Welsh actor Rhys Ifans shows off his sinister talents as Dr. Curt Connors, a suspicious scientist and former acquaintance of Peter’s dead father.
The trailer effectively promotes the entrails of a solid superhero saga, but does not necessarily demonstrate a film that lives up to the title’s declaration of “amazing.”
The Amazing Spider-Man is expected to sling into cinemas on July 4, 2012.

Leilani Dowding’s Secret Dates with Hollywood Actor Stephen Dorff!

I guess after seeing these pics, love might still be a little tough for VH1 contestant George French…
Hottie, French (inset pic) won the heart of former Miss Great Britain, Leilani Dowding on the hit show Tough Love Miami and since then it had all appeared to be quite hunky-dory between them… So what happened?
Well, my spies inform me that Dowding has since been spotted on numerous nights out with Hollywood star, Stephen Dorff.
I’m told Dorff had gone to great lengths to woo Leilani, taking her on several dates in the first week that included dinner at Nobu in Malibu two nights later.
On Golden Globes weekend, Dorff dined Dowding at the swanky romantic hotspot Mercato Di Vetro in West Hollywood, followed by the two of them partying the night away with the likes of Leonardo De Caprio at the trendy Trousdale club…
Since then, the couple has rarely been apart. Insiders have informed me that the relationship is often a little tempestuous and the pair loves a good BBM row! Still that kind of passion can often spark love I reckon…
And here’s the proof, at Leilani’s birthday party at SUR Lounge last week, Dorff turned up with a stunning array of birthday gifts for the model… It must be love…there’s nothing like a few expensive presents to win over a ladies heart… and the good news? Apparently, the couple is still going strong, so good luck to them!

Kate Beckinsale, Emily Blunt and Colin Firth Attend Stephen Merchant’s Hello Ladies!

The Brits were out in force last night to support funnyman Stephen Merchant (right inset pic) as he brought his hit comedy show, Hello Ladies to Hollywood,
It was also date night for attendees, actresses Kate Beckinsale and Emily Blunt who both had their American hubbies Len Wiseman and John Krasinki in tow.
Actor Colin Firth completed the star-studded gathering, playing third wheel as he walked into the Beverly Hills’ Coronet Theatre with Emily and John.
‘Hello Ladies’ is about Merchant’s lack of success with the women, despite his many awards and critical acclaim. His reasons, according to Merchant include his tightfistedness and his pedantry, and because of his gawky and lanky 6ft 7 inch frame, and, as with his BBC2 sitcom Life’s Too Short, he delivers plenty of funny and very physical material from his unusually ginormous stature.
Some of his battle-of-the-sexes gags wear thin at times; as does his routine on the glibness of text message speak.
However, a finale in which he re-enacts an old GCSE drama play on issues of prejudice is a showstopper, using his unsubtle teenage self as a license to be gleefully un-PC. This hints of a far more mischievous Merchant lying just around the corner… So Hollywood, watch out!
Merchant, known for his collaborations with funnyman Ricky Gervais, who hosted the Golden Globes last Sunday, spoke about the difference between English and American audiences.
Earlier this week he told the Los Angeles Times, “In England, the audience can be quite surly at times,’
‘You can walk on and you get the feeling that they are sitting with their arms crossed sort of, “Yeah, listen. It was raining, we had to park the car, so this better be funny mate.”
He added, “American audiences just seemed much more enthusiastic. like ‘Yay! It’s great, it’ll be fun! Let’s enjoy.”
I give ‘Hello Ladies’ 5 stars and a BIG thumbs up, well done to Merchant, for managing to slap us full-force in the mush with this incredibly original piece of comedy… Go see it!
