Dreamgirls Director Takes on Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn!

Director Bill Condon will direct RPatz, KStew, and the gang in the fourth installment of the wildly popular vampire film series, Breaking Dawn. The news comes despite Summit Entertainment producer Wyck Godfrey stating he wanted New Moon director Chris Weitz to come back to the franchise. In addition to Dreamgirls, Condon directed the 2004 film Kinsey, starring Irish actor Liam Neeson. To date, each Twilight movie has been overseen by a different director.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all expected to again personify Edward, Bella, and Jacob respectively for the film, though the actors are still in negotiations.

Breaking Dawn is likely to be the final Twilight film as it is based on the series, what isn’t clear is whether the film version of Breaking Dawn will be split into two separate films or not, due to the extensive length of the story.

A release date for Breaking Dawn is yet to be announced, but production is set to begin this year. Meanwhile, the third installment of the saga, Eclipse, will hit theaters this summer on June 30^th.

Let’s hope Condon can work his magic and make the best Twilight film of what most Twilight fans consider the worst Twilight book.

Singers Leona Lewis and Cheryl Cole have both made it onto a list of the richest young music stars for the first time ever.

Leona made the top of the list along with opera star Katherine Jenkins as the highest earners each making a whopping £11 million, according to the Sunday Times’ list of the top 100 richest people in music in Britain aged 30 and under.

Cheryl Cole, came in fourth with £10 million, of course Cheza could be worth a lot more by now as her wealth has grown tons in the past year, reportedly by 150 percent.

Amy, has an estimated fortune of £5m, not bad considering she’s hardly done a days work in three years!

Kinda gives a new meaning to the words Girl Power, dontcha think?!

Newcomer Atwell Lands Female Lead in Captain America

Another British starlet is born…  Actress Hayley Atwell has landed the lead role of Peggy Carter, the love interest of Captain America opposite actor, Chris Evans.

The news comes after Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures conducted an extensive casting search to fill the role.

Atwell, somewhat of an unknown is rumored to have clinched the coveted part over fellow Brit actresses Keira Knightley and Emily Blunt after a recent screen test in London.

While she might not be a household name (yet!), Atwell has been showing off her acting chops in various BBC productions for years. Atwell even worked alongside Knightley in BBC Films’ The Duchess.

Captain America is scheduled to film in England this summer.

Leona and J-Hud Join Forces for SATC 2 Soundtrack!

t Tinseltown-tales is that singers Leona Lewis, winner of Britain’s The X Factor, and Jennifer Hudson, American Idol finalist, will be hitting the recording studio together for the upcoming Sex and the City movie sequel.

Whether or not Hudson will reprise her role of Louise in addition to her vocal contribution has yet to be confirmed, but this news certainly can’t hurt chances.

Other female singers rumored to appear in the sexy sequel include: Vic-Bore-ia Beckham, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Bette Midler, and Liza Minnelli. Perhaps some of these divas will contribute to the soundtrack alongside Leona and J-Hud.

The idea of a Lewis-Hudson duet is literally music to my ears, especially when compared to Snoop Dogg’s recently planned collaboration with Susan Boyle, which is more like, I’m sorry to say, finger nails on a chalkboard to my ears.

SuBo and Snoop Dogg Plan Duet! AKA SnooBo?

SuBo with gold teeth and gold chains!?!? Well, she might not go that far, but a duet featuring Scottish singer Susan Boyle and American rapper Snoop Dogg is reportedly in the works.

On working with SuBo, Snoop said: “She’s a great artist. I’m looking forward to going into the studio with her. Why not? We’re going to get our minds together and figure out what we’re going to sing about. I’m down with that. There isn’t much I can’t do.”

Snoop also appears to be eyeing Simon Cowell’s job on American Idol. On replacing Simon, the Doggystyle rapper and father of three said: “I think I would be perfect. I understand the dynamics of music and see stars before they are made.”

Forgive me for being skeptical Snoop, but we’ll have to wait and see just how well you understand the dynamics of music, as a SuBo/SnoDo combo isn’t exactly the best duet idea I’ve ever heard.

RPATZ IS PARANOID AND FRIENDLESS!

Twilight star Robert Pattinson revealed that he has lost all his old friends back in the UK because of his newfound fame. Having millions of adoring fans and a rumored romance with co-star Kristen Stewart has left the teen-heartthrob feeling a little out of touch with his pre-fame social life.

‘The Patz’ thinks fame has made him paranoid and kept him from having a normal existence.

He said recently: “I’ve been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years. It’s frustrating. I’m comforted by my guitar – my true companion that travels everywhere with me. I didn’t need this in the past; until I got back to London and found out I had lost my whole social life.”

He added: “It’s tough maintaining it when you don’t speak to anyone for over a year. I am now trying to get back in touch with some friends through Skype. Being well known is a real burden. I’m less open and have noticed that I’m actually getting paranoid.”

Ahhh… Poor RPATZ! I guess that’s the price of fame, eh ol’ chum?!

Winehouse Gleefully Bangs in Big Bucks!

Can you believe it’s been nearly three years since Amy Winehouse had a hit song and we all know she hasn’t had an easy time in her personal life over the last few of years either, but that doesn’t mean she’s not still bringing in the bacon.

Winehouse was reportedly paid $85,000 recently for the use of her signature (and autobiographical) song Rehab in an episode of the American TV show Gleeon Fox, the same network that is home to mega-hit singing contest show American Idol.

The troubled Brit singer is rumored to have been paid more dosh than any other musical act that’s had their music featured on the hit show, including the group Journey for their song Don’t Stop Believing, probably the most well known ditty to have been covered by the cast of Glee.

Furthermore, the show’s use of Rehab is probably what pushed the song back into the top 100 in America.

Not a bad paycheck Amy! Considering you didn’t have to perform or actively attend to this business deal and to top it off you get your music heard by an expanded ‘Gleek’ audience of millions and that can’t be bad!

Now, maybe you can use some of that cash to get and stay sober, get your on-again off-again marriage sorted out, and finally finish and release your next album!

There’s nothing like a bit of California living for us Brits, we can’t get enough of it and every year the numbers of us emigrating to Los Angeles just seems to go up.
