Who will play Who in possible Doctor Who movie?

Rumours about the popular BBC series Doctor Who being adapted for the big screen have been swirling around for years, but the rumours have become even more rampant ever since director David Yates, best known for helming multiple Harry Potter films, mentioned that he will possibly be developing a feature adaptation.
Furthermore, Yates had Doctor Who fans pondering which actor would portray the iconic Time Lord in the feature film after Yates was quoted as saying Doctor Who series producers Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffat “have done their own transformations, which were fantastic, but we have to put that aside and start from scratch.” The truth is that only Yates knows just how much reinvention he would apply in terms of casting and character development, but that fact obviously does not stop the rest of us from speculating.
However, the legitimacy of Yates’s account of the Doctor Who movie became less reliable after Moffat, the current executive producer of the Doctor Who series, more recently said: “There are no developed plans for a Doctor Who movie at the moment.” He added: “But if and when the movie happens it will need to star television’s Doctor Who – and there’s only ever one of those at a time.” With reference to Yates’s statements, Moffat said: “The brilliant David Yates was talking off the cuff and a little prematurely.”
Moffat may insist that the actor personifying the Doctor on television (currently Matt Smith) must also play him in the movie, but if the movie takes two or three years to manifest, Smith might not still be playing the character. Therefore, the question remains… Who will star in the possible Doctor Who movie? Only time, or a Time Lord, can tell.
Sacha Baron Cohen Set to Star in Les Miserables Movie!

According to reports Sacha Baron Cohen, best known to musical theatre fans for his part in Tim Burton’s Sweeny Todd opposite Helena Bonham Carter, has joined the upcoming Les Miserables movie as Monsieur Thernardier.
It had been suggested recently that Geoffrey Rush was in talks to take the part – Rush did an excellent job playing Inspector Javert opposite Liam Neeson and Claire Danes in the 1998 movie adaptation, which is still one of my favorite films!
Cohen, who’s recent roles include films such as Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and Brüno, rounds of an all-star cast, that includes Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe as Javert.
Les Mis’ will also see Cohen reuniting with Bonham Carter, who has signed on to play Madame Thenardier. Rumor has it that Glee actress Lea Michele vying for the part of Eponine.
To say that I am very excited about this one is an understatement… Go Sacha; Hollywood will make true thespian out of you yet!
X Factor’s Steve is Jonesing For a Bit of Publicity!

It is no secret that in it’s first season, the X Factor U.S has had its difficulties.
Surprisingly, the talent show has failed to win over the American audience and in the beginning; the blame for this appeared to fall on its host, Steve Jones.
Well, the bosses needed to point the finger at somebody, didn’t they!
Therefore, the show’s PR people had to get their thinking caps on quick to find a way to boost the Welsh hunks popularity… So what do they do? They arrange for Jonsey to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres show to have him strip half naked in front of millions of viewers!
Er, Great idea…
In the most blatant display of tacky publicity seeking I’ve seen in a very long time, the 34-year-old was asked to remove his clothes by Ellen and don a skimpy black t-shirt, which promoted the X Factor on one side and the Ellen show on the other, to which our Steve was more than game to do!
As he stood topless showing off his macho muscles and hairy chest the studio audience could hardly contain their joy and literally screamed the roof off…
Could this be the start of Jonesy’s rise in popularity stateside? We hope so!
Before ‘baring all’, Steve was telling Ellen of the difficulties he faces being the host of the show and how his biggest problem is dealing with producers orders down his earpiece during the live shows, which has lead to people to criticize Steve for cutting off the judges and rushing them.
He revealed: “There’s about five people screaming, shut Paula up. Shut her up now. Move on. I’m going to have hearing damage in this ear by the end of series. I feel terrible because I feel on occasions I’m coming across as rude and abrupt and that’s really not me.”
Well Steve, if your explanation doesn’t make people understand you are just doing your job, then stripping off will surely win them over…
Hey, it worked on Halle Berry and Hayden Panettiere. Oh and Pamela Anderson… Er, the list goes on!
Leilani Dowding Makes a Splash Across the Pond!

Former Miss Great Britain turned fashion designer and now reality TV star Leilani Dowding, is no stranger when it comes to gracing the glossy tabloid mags back in the UK…
Now after appearing in the hit VH-1 boot camp – dating show Tough love Miami, the super-gorgeous glamour girl is making a name for herself in the states too!
This month the 31-year-old sexy, star features in the U.S version of Maxim magazine, and in its double spread, Dowding talks candidly, on why she feels she is so unlucky in love and has resorted finding it on a reality show.
However, it was only after she opened up to fellow ex-glamour girl Sam Phillips on her radio show The Single Life, that we realized just how ‘tough’ finding love was for Dowding, as she revealed the truth behind a string of failed romances that include British soccer stars, rappers and restaurateurs…Oh my!
This girl is definitely high up on the ‘been there, done that’ list…
But every cloud has a silver lining it seems, after the paparazzi spotted Leilani lapping up the Miami sunshine with her new beau George French, whom she met as a potential suitor by relationship expert Steve Ward during the filming of the series.
Recently Leilani told me, “I like George, but men are taking a backseat in my life for a while so I can concentrate on making Leiluna a big success, that’s my plan and I’m going to do it… It’s about me now, no distractions!”
Well, I have said it before… Move over Kim Kardashian… If Leilani’s new collection is anything to go by, then I reckon we will be hearing a lot more of this young woman in America and way beyond!
Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart’s Battle to be the Fairest of Them All…

“Mirror, Mirror on the wall. Who’s the fairest of them all?”…Well, it turns out it can be two people, as Lily Collins revealed that she auditioned for the title role of the up coming fairytale film, Snow White and the Huntsman, only to lose it to Twilight star Kristen Stewart. But fear not, young Lily is now to play the same character, Snow White, in another movie adaption called Mirror, Mirror.
The young actress told Access Hollywood,” I auditioned for it [Snow White and the Huntsman], but I’ve been so excited for Kristen, I think that story is so different from ours and the girls are so different” … So there is room enough in Hollywood for two!
Lily Collins, who is the daughter of legendary Brit musician Phil Collins, also said: “[Kristen] is perfect for her version, and I’m really excited to be doing this one and I think they have totally different audiences.”
The 22-year-old will star in Mirror, Mirror alongside big Hollywood names such as Julia Roberts, who is somewhat of an acting idol for young Lily. Ms. Collins exclaimed: “Julia was amazing. Her laugh and smile — that’s classic Julia and she brings that to the movie, but she puts a twist on it because she’s evil.”
It will be interesting to see which of the two films will be a bigger hit at the box office. If Lily’s Snow White movie ends up being less popular, we shall see just how truly happy she is for Kristen… or if she will wish she had fed Kristen a poisoned apple!
Brit Star Emrhys Cooper Lands Desperate Housewives Role!

Wisteria Lane is about to heat up all over again with arrival of a sexy new character, I can reveal…
A little dickie bird has informed me the that British heartthrob actor Emrhys Cooper has joined the Desperate Housewives cast and is secretly filming his ‘prominent’ role for the final season of the popular ABC show this week!
Career wise Los Angeles based Cooper, has been chugging along in Tinseltown rather nicely for the past few years, after he arrived to promote his role in the hit movie Mama Mia.
Since then work offers have flowed in at a steady rate and casting directors have started to notice his talents after he appeared in the hugely successful Joe Orton play Entertaining Mr. Sloane.
A role which has gained him critical acclaim and three Broadway World award nominations for his portrayal of Mr. Sloane, thus proving he is more than just a pretty face!
Emrhys told the British Weekly, ” I have always been a fan, and an avid viewer, of Desperate Housewives… and am so excited to be a part of such an incredible/iconic cast and crew.”
He added, “As an actor, when you get to work alongside the actors/actresses you have most closely watched and admired it is a definite plus and something I’m not soon to forget.”
However, the part in DH didn’t come easy, Cooper had actually tried out for the series twice before, so this is a case of third time lucky for him.
Cooper revealed, “I auditioned for the show three times and never managed to get it, but after playing Mr. Sloane I guess there was a bit of a buzz going around after the casting director saw it. Then they called my agent and wanted me to audition.”
Though he can’t give too much away, I can tell you that he’ll be playing a ‘charming’ British guy (what else) who gets himself into a little hot water with various key characters.
He said, “I can’t really talk about the plot too much but, but I can tell you that yesterday I was shooting with Eva Longoria who plays Gabby and we clicked instantly.”
I reckon Emrhys Cooper will be a huge success with the fans of Wisteria Lane; I for one cannot wait to watch him…
Victoria Beckham Scoops Top British Fashion Award!

Back in the 90s, when Victoria Beckham was having worldwide success with the Spice Girls, she often picked up awards here and there. However, if memory serves me there was hardly ever any emotion shown when she did… Well, apart from a few smiles and a bunch of zig-a-zig-ahs… Er, not any more.
Earlier this week, the ex-singer turned top fashion designer picked up a major prize at the prestigious British Fashion Awards, and there was just no holding back the tears!
The 37-year-old mother-of-four came away with the top gong after seeing off stiff competition for the award from the likes of Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Burberry.
A tearful Victoria found it hard to hold in her feelings during her speech to which she apologized to the audience for; “Sorry, I’m being so rubbish.”
She also paid tribute to her husband, David Beckham, saying, “Without David I wouldn’t have the courage to do what I’m doing.”… Ahhh, isn’t true love grand!
Becks later returned the comment by posting how ”incredibly proud” he was, on his Facebook page. “She has worked so hard and deserves all the recognition. It’s amazing what she has achieved tonight, very special.” David, I think you speak for us all.
Congratulations Victoria and may this be the first fashion award of many…
I think it might be too, now that the fashion world is at long last recognizing Victoria’s incredible talents, I guess you could say, Posh is finally, er, well and truly posh!
