Inception’s Tom Hardy: I’ve had sexual relations with men!

Actor Tom Hardy, most recently featured in the film Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is not afraid to admit that he has been sexually involved with men. Although he is engaged to British actress Charlotte Riley and has a two-year-old son with a former girlfriend, Hardy has not always been so heterosexual.

As reported by the Daily Mail, when asked if he has had any sexual relations with other men, the masculine actor replied: “As a boy? Of course I have. I’m an actor for ****’s sake. I’ve played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I’m in my thirties, it doesn’t do it for me.

Hardy continued: “I’m done experimenting, but there’s plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine.

In an interview with Now magazine, the British heartthrob revealed: “A lot of people say I seem masculine, but I don’t feel it. I feel intrinsically feminine. I’d love to be one of the boys, but I always felt a bit on the outside. Maybe my masculine qualities come from overcompensating because I’m not one of the boys.

Hardy will next play a martial arts fighter in the dramatic film Warrior, to be released November 25, 2010 and will also take on the title role of Max in Mad Max: Fury Road expected to hit theaters in 2012.

In the new-millennium era, Hardy’s sexual exploration is not exactly an Earth shattering “revelation,” nevertheless many gay celebrities still struggle to be open about their homosexuality. Perhaps Hardy’s prominence and candid honesty will encourage others to be less ashamed of who they are.
