American Idol’s Talent’s Got Britain’s X-Factor…

Just as I reported, um… a while back… Simon Cowell is definitely going to be bringing X-Factor to the US in 2011, which means he will almost certainly be saying ta-ta to his judging spot on American Idol after this season.

Now I’m hearing Simon has been negotiating with Fox execs this week, who are desperate to keep him on Idol, but apparently Simon has already made up his mind to leave and concentrate on X-Factor USA. If any of these execs actually watch the show, they’ll know that Simon’s decisions are usually final!

Cowell produces and judges X-Factor in the UK whereas on Idol he’s simply a judge. Bringing X-Factor over will mean more control (and more money) for the sharp-tongued mogul.

And while Fox are trying to assure audiences that Idol will go on without Simon, everyone knows that Simon is Idol and it wouldn’t be the same without him. Ellen’s going to have to make a big impression to convince me that it will still work if Simon goes.

Luckily, we’ll still be able to get our Cowell fix when X-Factor starts in autumn 2011!

Beauty Dates The Beast (Only joking Nige!)

Former supermodel, Jerry Hall loves a bad boy, doesn’t she? She was married to notorious modeliser Mick Jagger for nine years and now the stunning 53-year-old model and actress is dating TV judge Nigel Lythgoe, 60, better known as ‘Nasty Nigel’.

Jerry and Nigel have been friends for a while but began dating in October after running into each other at events in London and despite Nige’s beastly reputation, the pair are supposed to be totally loved up.

“Both Jerry and Nigel have been unattached for some time,” says the source, “Neither of them were looking for love, but it found them anyway. They’re a great couple and gloriously happy.”

Nigel earned his nickname in 2000 when he was a judge on Popstars, the precursor to Pop Idol and American Idol. He’s currently a judge on So You Think You Can Dance, which after finding huge success in the states is now launching on the Beeb (BBC) in the UK.

Chunky, Not Hunky: Butler Goes From Beefcake To Bovine…

At first I was reluctant to print these pictures of a rather portly Gerard Butler, but then I thought what the hell, seeing these pictures just might just encourage the former heart-throb to get down the gym and have a good workout!

Butler, who made his name as a six-packed muscled warrior in hit movie ‘300′ seems to have had a few too many home cooked comfort meals this winter, either that or he’s just got lazy of late. Whatever it is, it’s sure to disappoint his army of female fans who once lusted after his super-fit frame.

I reckon the turned-tubby actor needs to take a leaf out of Britney’s comeback book (if you get my drift) – get back in shape and remind the fans of what a hunk he once was.

After all, his role in 300 (let’s face it) was predicated more on his abs than it was his, um, acting ability… Oops did I really say that?

Gerry my boy, take my advice… forget ‘300′ the movie, that’s all in the past, I think it high time you did 300 sit-ups… Or more!

Rachel’s a bit of al-Weisz!

Oscar winning film star Rachel Weisz has unveiled her sexiest look yet. The stunning English actress is seen wearing skimpy outfits with tousled hair posing for Esquire magazine’s forthcoming February issue, whose readers voted in a poll for ’Woman We Love’ issue.

The 39-year-old star of The Mummy and The Constant Gardener admitted she was extremely flattered by all the attention received.

Mother to three-year-old Henry and engaged to his father, director of The Wrestler Darren Aronofsky, Weisz told the UK edition

magazine out January 7th: “Oh my God… To marry? That’s interesting. That’s so funny. I’m marriable. But I’m not married.

‘I was getting worried that the men didn’t like me any more.’ She also revealed that young Henry is obsessed with breasts.

She said: “He’s really into firemen – and women’s breasts! He just talks about them all the time. It’s very sweet, he thinks that I have the biggest breasts in the world. That’s a son’s idolatry of his mother, that I’m the biggest and the best.”

Well personally I’ve always thought Rach was a bit of er, all Weisz…

Robbie Shines as Ayda Shows Off Her Sparkler…

As the gossip continues to swirl as to whether Robbie Williams has finally popped the question to long time girlfriend Ayda Field or not, the couple are clearly not too shy about letting the world finally know the truth, or so it seems.

Miss Field, 30 was all smiles in LA earlier this week proudly showing off her new diamond sparkler as she watched Williams play in an annual England versus Scotland football match in Los Angeles adding fuel to the rumor that they are to tie the knot this year.

So what is the truth? Well my tinseltown spies are telling me that sexy Ayda has been beaming since new years eve, as Robbie, 35, DID pop the question, the singer has been desperate to marry Ayda for over a year now and it looks as if she is ready to accept the proposal, hence the ring, I’m guessing…

The happy couple have been dating on and off for over two years and it’s been said by many close sources that Ayda has been Robbie’s saviour, helping the former Take That singer through some emotionally tough times since they met – what a good girl she is!

One insider told me, “Robbie wants the ceremony to be a very low-key affair with only very close friends and family, he won’t be selling his

soul to OK Magazine that’s for sure,” the source added, “A wedding could be on the cards as soon a May this year!”

I’ve always said Ayda Field was the one for Robbie, she comes across a totally grounded, unaffected beauty that has finally tamed the hellraiser in Robbie, and if that rather large diamond ring is anything to go by, I’d say Ayda’s certainly in for a taste of the good life, full marks for er, patience Ayda…

Ga-Ga’s goo-goo over SuBo!

Lady Gaga has confessed that she is a secret Susan Boyle fan; I mean talk about chalk and cheese!

The outrageous singer admitted, “I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year. She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime.”

Well, well, I wonder what the hairy angel will make of this?

Gaga added, “This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world’s most established artists off the album and singles charts.” She continued, “Our styles are different. I don’t know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent.”

Boyle has already won an army of loyal celebrity fans including OPRAH WINFREY, ELAINE PAIGE, DEMI MOORE and even the US president BARACK OBAMA with her rags to riches story, but Lady Gaga? I would have never have believed this if were not for my well- placed source in the Gaga camp who is, ahem, should I say, um, pretty well placed indeed…

Well, one thing’s for sure, at least they have one thing in common… the pair of them appear to be absolutely bonkers.

Gaga told a pal that she had followed Subo’s meteoric rise ever since she saw her first Britain’s Got Talent audition on popular website YouTube and has been a loyal fan ever since. The pal added, “Lady G would love to get the chance to perform with Subo as soon as possible.”

What a double act that would be eh, SuGa? GaBo? I love it, can’t wait!

Choo’s Mellon in Beach Boy Heaven!

My pal Tamara Mellon had much to smile about on her Christmas hols in St. Bart’s, showing off her sexy body with yet ANOTHER hot male by her side.

The 42 year-old who has made £100 million profit from her Jimmy Choo shoe empire, said recently that the relationship with her 70-year-old mother, former Chanel model Anne Yeardye had been strained after a long-running legal battle that saw Tamara winning back the £6million return of shares mistakenly paid into a family trust fund.

Putting all that behind her, Tamara seemed to be enjoying every minute of her much-needed break, pictured in a skimpy bikini with a super slender figure she showed no signs of stress lapping up the sunshine with best friend, top fashion designer Marc Jacobs. Oh to be part of the elite!

And I’d say she’s clearly over the break-up earlier this year with ex-bf, actor Christian Slater, this year alone Mellon’s been spotted out on the town with former Eastenders star Sean Mcguire, Red Hot Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis and even Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn… er, to name a few…

I’m not saying she went second base with any of them, but it would seem Miss Mellon isn’t short of hunky admirers, and with that extra £6mil in the bank I’m sure there are many more ready to beat on her door for a piece of the action!
