My Crazy Day at Wild Child Emma’s Pink Paradise!

I was surprised at the overwhelmingly positive response from my army of readers regarding former 80’s Emma Ridley’s comeback. Emma has been filming the reality TV show ‘Spoiled Rotten’ – due to hit screens next year – which charts her her quest to open a pole dancing school in the heart of West Hollywood. Yes I’m serious!

Currently, Emma runs the successful Goddess Fitness Dance in Santa Clarita, California, and in the show we see her risking all to launch her new school as she attempts to take Hollywood by storm. Slightly over-ambitious, perhaps? Well, I decided to find out what all this malarkey was about accepted Emma’s invitation to join on set for the day, and as you can see from the pic I it was rather Christmassy, pink and fun-filled!“I’m little nervous opening up my life for the cameras like this.” Ridley told me, “I had virtually given up on my celebrity life but somehow it always chases me and lures me back.”

Emma, who’s now on her third marriage and a mother of three, was so excited when Drew Lesser (pictured), the Executive Producer of hit reality TV show Bridezilllas, contacted her wanting to do a show based on Goddess Fitness Dance. “I was thrilled that the producer had heard about my plans to open in West Hollywood and wanted to make a show about it,” she says.

Lesser, who has produced shows like the Janice Dickinson Model Agency and Exterminators tells me, “I was looking for a new reality star and Emma Ridley was ticking all the boxes.” He added, “I didn’t know much about her past antics in the 80’s, that wasn’t what sold me, I spent a few days with her at work and at home and thought, wow, I have potential show here, this is a woman who will make great television!”

And after I spent the day with Emma, I think he could be right. Watching her cavorting on a pole, stressing over the business and shopping for presents for the kids all followed by a film crew, completely wore me out, and if that wasn’t enough we still had her Christmas party at her studio ahead of us. Emma’s partying days meant she had much more stamina than me!

Just how viewers will take to Ridley is anyone’s guess, but to fair she’s definitely a colorful character that is sure to raise a few eyebrows here in the States that’s for sure. And as you can see, she can still pull off a neon pink burlesque tutu!

“I never think of myself as controversial or outrageous, I see myself as grounded and earthy, but I guess I am a little wild still so watch out!” she warns.

Is Si’s Saying Sye to American Idol?

The thought of Simon Cowell leaving American Idol is as unimaginable as Randy removing the word ‘dawg’ from his vocabulary but apparently Simon’s quitting the show in 2010.

I’m hearing Tony Cowell, Simon’s brother, is fuelling rumours that he’s leaving the show to work on an American version of the wildly popular British show X-Factor and that this series of Idol will be his last.

Tony, 59, let the info slip during a podcast of his weekly radio show, The Fame Game, but obviously realised it was a blunder because his comments were later removed.

He said: “Meanwhile, Simon prepares for a new season of ‘Idol,’ or should I say his last season of ‘Idol’ – OK, I will say it, because it is.

Russ Takes Katy on the Heath – No, Not Like That!

Reformed sex addict Russell Brand seems to be behaving himself these days and has been faithful to girlfriend, singer Katy Perry for weeks now.

The loved-up pair are currently staying at Russ’s North London home and spent the day frolicking in the snow on Hampstead Heath in London, even borrowing a sledge from a local child to go for a ride down the hill.

And if there’s one thing my pal Brand knows how to do, it’s how to make a girl shriek, so he must have been chuffed to bits when they flew down the hill and Californian-born babe Katy started whooping.

After finishing the ride, Russell gave the sledge back to the delighted kid before going for a romantic stroll with Katy. Could Russ’s New Year’s resolution be monogamy? Ah, it must be love!

Winehouse’s Papa Sets His Sights on Tinseltown, Sinatra Style!

Amy Winehouse’s dad is following in his daughter’s footsteps and carving out his own singing career. Yes, the cabby-turned-crooner is set to release an album early next year!

The 58-year-old hopes to catch the eye of Hollywood’s bigwigs with his collection of Rat-Pack influenced, jazz-swing recordings around March 2010.

A close friend of Mitch revealed that he has been singing all his life and is ready to show the world that he’s just as talented as his superstar daughter, Amy. The friend said, “Mitch is a massive Sinatra fan and would love to perform in Hollywood. That is his biggest dream!”

Mitch plans to fly to LA in late January for a series of meetings with agents and hopes he can land himself a record deal in Hollywood. He recently said: “This is a dream come true and, musically it’s a great album.”

Let’s hope so. With Amy rumoured to be back with ex-husband and ‘reformed’ junkie Blake Fielder-Civil, at least one of the Winehouse family is concentrating on their music!

Bling it on, Zeta!

The new decade is already off to a glittering start for Hollywood-based gem designer Zeta Graff, who has celebs clamoring to borrow diamonds from her for the upcoming Golden Globes ceremony. Come January 17th stars will be dripping with Bobby Dazzlers on the red carpet and Zeta’s pieces are already in high demand.

The Greek-born Brit’s ZG line has been tipped as a serious up-and-comer in the jewellery world for 2010 and has already been spotted on Hollywood hotties like supermodel, Hilary Rhoda and Meg Ryan as well as the gorgeous Mila Kunis who appears in ZG’s ad campaign. If that wasn’t enough Zeta’s A-list friends have come out to support her and I’ve heard whispers that Brett Ratner – the heavyweight behind the X-Men trilogy (thank you Brett for discovering Hugh Jackman’s inner Wolverine!) – will shoot an ad campaign.

Peaches Almost Pureed In California Car Crash…

This shocking little tale just winged its way over to me via Hollywood’s elitist gossip mongers, that Peaches Geldof narrowly avoided serious injury in a car crash yesterday, but she didn’t let the little matter of a near-death experience ruin her trip to Disneyland in Anaheim.

The sometime DJ, model and daughter of Live Aid chief Sir Bob Geldof, was in a car with four friends when the driver’s foot slipped on the pedals and it spun out of control on the freeway leaving the bonnet crushed and front bumper bashed in.

But the 20-year-old and her ‘crew’ – who she refers too as the ‘I Don’t Give a F***’ crew – obviously wasn’t too shook up by the experience.

She managed to give Twitter followers a running commentary on the incident, saying, “Just actually experienced a full on car carsh (sic) with the IDGAF crew. Wow, I guess we really don’t GAF.”

Peaches and her gang later posted pics of themselves posing at Disneyland. Just watch out for the bumper cars at Disney’s California Adventure, eh Peaches?

There’s nothing like a bit of California living for us Brits, we can’t get enough of it and every year the numbers of us emigrating to Los Angeles just seems to go up.

At a guess, I reckon it’s mainly for the sunshine, but a certain word springs to mind when I think about some of the ’showbizzy’ ex-pats who have upped sticks seeking fame and fortune on these shiny shores… and that is – Reinvention! Basically they can’t get arrested back home in the UK so they come over here in search of a new dream.

Something former 1980’s Wild Child, Emma Ridley knows a thing or two about, I’d say. Remember her? Emma was that sassy sexy girl who found fame dancing topless on table tops in trendy London nightclubs at the tender age of 14 then shocked the nation by eloping to Las Vegas at the age of 15 to marry party boy Robert Pereno – 15 years her senior.

R Patz To Pull In The Pounds!

Twilight actor, Robert Pattinson – AKA R-Patz in the biz – could be coining it in very soon according to my Tinseltown spies.

The 22-year-old heart-throb, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, is apparently due to receive large slice of the multi-million box-office takings from the next installment – ‘Breaking Dawn’ which is due for release late next year.

I’m being told that Summit Entertainment’s bigwigs were – not surprisingly – deciding on splitting the big screen version of the final novel, into TWO parts after the second film ‘New Moon’, raked in almost £300 million at the box office within just two weeks of its opening.

My insiders are telling me that Summit wants to keep this extraordinary cash cow going for as long as they can and they’re giving very serious consideration to the idea. One insider said, “Right now R-Patz is the biggest star of his generation – this type of deal, if struck, would put him legitimately among the Hollywood A-list.”

Another source added, “Pattinson is in such demand right now he could basically name his price.”

Not bad for someone who was a virtual unknown just over a year ago!
