Kylie-fornia: Minogue Triumphs on US Tour

Kylie Minogue was finally embraced by Tinseltown last night as the 41-year-old pop princess performed her glitzy show at the Hollywood Bowl.
Minogue told fans as she hit the stage,” Playing at the Bowl is just beyond words. I can’t believe I’m standing on hallowed ground.
And if I think about it too long I’ll get far too emotional.”
The teeny-weeny Australian singer sparkled as she swept through a series of ‘camp’ costume changes including one that featured a planets headpiece and futuristic space mini-dress during her performance.
The fast-paced, two-hour show saw me bopping from the best seats in the house as Minogue sang through her biggest hits, including “Slow,” “Spinning Around” and “Wow.” But the biggest applause greeted “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” her 2001 club hit.
It has to be said however, on stage Kylie is certainly no Madonna, Britney, Christina or Lady Gaga – putting it bluntly the sexy-cat just can’t dance, but then again she doesn’t really need to, there’s still a freshness about her stunning presence that one can not ignore.
I knew nearly every word to every song she sang making this a fantastic show for me, and it was clear that the singer and her manager, Terry Blamey, were thrilled with the reaction from the fans.
Guests at the show included Paris Hilton, Howard Stern, Kate Beckinsale and Kate’s film director husband Len Wiseman who were also joined by Kylie’s boyfriend Andres Velencoso.
