Julia Clancey’s 2010 Collection Stolen…

My good friend Julia Clancey is a popular girl among celebrities such as Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, Keira Knightly and Victoria Beckham, her designs have been featured in Vogue, InStyle and ELLE magazines, so of course I was shocked when I heard her fabulous 2010 collection was swiped right off her Marina del Ray doorstep sometime yesterday morning.
The story goes like this, some silly Fed-Ex guy didn’t think to knock on the door to get a signature or at least announce the delivery, instead he stupidly left the box containing $300,000 worth of Clancey’s stunning creations that were due to be unveiled at a charity fashion show downtown this coming Sunday, outside her apartment door, paving the way for some petty scoundrel crook to swipe the goods.
I of course was all set to be sitting front row at the show, now sadly and not surprisingly the event has been cancelled and British born Julia has made headline news in the US. She said, “I don’t know how anyone could possibly think they can get away with this, you can’t put the dresses on EBay, you can’t sell them anywhere on the Internet because we WILL find them and the thief WILL be caught!”

Now a ‘whodunit’ style investigation is underway by the LA County Sheriff’s department to establish who could have taken the box – a neighbor perhaps?
An extremely stressed out Clancey told me she is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of her collection.
Poor thing, isn’t the fashion industry suffering enough already!
