R-Patz’s Cab Run-In ‘Exaggerated’…

It was like Beatle-mania when Brit-heartthrob Robert Pattinson aka ‘R-Patz’ was besieged by crazed Twilight fans in the Big Apple the other day.
Now, I’m sure Rob doesn’t mind being on the receiving end of female attention, but seeing as his core fanbase is under 18, it’s probably not really what he had in mind!
One girl grabbed him around the neck and had to be pulled off by a bodyguard before the Twilight star ran across the the street to escape and got clipped by a cab. Ouch!
A spokesperson for the latest Twilight installment, New Moon, is now saying the report was ‘exaggerated’ and that the incident wasn’t caused by the fans. Well she would say that wouldn’t she? Who the hell would want to be set upon by a bunch of crazy Patz fans… Not me for one!
But it doesn’t look like she was wrong anyway, RPatz was recovered enough to get some action on the set of his latest movie, when he was shot kissing co-star Emilie de Ravin for a scene in the upcoming Remember Me.
Good news, eh, Twilight buffs? Or does this just mean Emilie de Ravin’s going to start getting hate mail now from out of control Patz fans?
