From Little Britain To Wonderland… Matt’s New Hollywood Role!

I was so excited to see the first pics of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland which were released today and I for one cannot WAIT until it comes out, painfully however not until March 2010…
The eagerly-anticipated movie has an all-star cast including Johnny Depp who quite fittingly plays the Mad Hatter (a good enough reason in my opinion to go see any film) and Anne Hathaway as the ethereal looking White Queen, as well as loads of top quality Brit actors like Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Michael Sheen as the White Rabbit, Alan Rickman who plays the Caterpiller and one of my favorites of course is Matt Lucas (pictured), playing Tweedledee and Tweedledum (I added the “yeah but, no but!” speech bubbles).
Like the rest of the cast the Little Britain star, who is really starting to make his name in Hollywood has been digitally altered to add to the mad look of the film. In his pics Lucas looks a bit like an egg-shaped version of the rhyming twins from the book and personally I think it’s a fantastic bit of casting.

The whole thing looks quirky and brilliant – typically Tim Burton who is famed for his original way of making movies. If his past films are anything to go by then this one is going to be just as memorable as the rest of em!
