Hollywood actor Gerard Butler, who notoriously partied at Priyanka Chopra’s Versova residence, also reportedly took Slumdog Millionaire kid stars Azhar Ismail and Rubina Ali to a five-star dinner when he was in Mumbai recently.

What nobody knows is that the actor also secretly visited their shanties in Bandra’s Garib Nagar slums. With a severe headache and fever, Gerard first went to Azhar’s house, but the boy had gone out to buy some pet birds and the Hollywood actor was compelled to wait for him to return. Gerard, who has seen Slumdog thrice and is a fan of the young actors, was shocked at the pitiable condition in which child star of the Oscar winning film lived.

From there, Gerard went to Rubina’s house, where he chatted the girl and her parents. He reportedly told Rubina that he would one day love to have a daughter like her. And that when she grew up, she was bound to be a stunner.

But before that, the Hollywood star promised to help in cash and kind towards bettering the kids’ living conditions. “Humne suna hai ki woh paanch lakh dene wale hai Azhar ke naam pe,” said Azhar’s mother. There was no confirmation of what Gerard has promised Rubina.

So, if any of you out there still have nasty things to say about Gerard, I wish you’d keep them to yourself. He’s not a saint, but he has a good heart. And for those who think he can’t act, why don’t you rent a copy of Phantom of the Opera, or Dear Frankie, or even Attila, and you tell me he can’t act.

I met Gerry Butler a couple of times and I can tell you, he doesn’t have B.O. but some disgruntled one-night stand of his will do anything, say anything to make him look bad.

The guy is a very nice guy but some people make him look like a saint which he is not.

If you’re rude to him, he will certainly tell you off.

I’ve been the witness myself last yeat at TIFF of how he handled some very rude fans and I can say honestly that if I had been in his shoes, even though I’m usually polite, I would have been ruder than he was with them.

People, if you want to blame somebody for his bad rep these days, why don’t you blame his P.R.

Tell me about anybody honestly here if put in his shoes and suddenly having hot looking people throwing themselves at you if you would push them back? I know I wouldn’t and yet I don’t sleep around. I think he’s nearing his middle years and he’s undergoing some midlife crisis and even men who are not celebs when they reach that state seem to go a bit crazy trying to prove to themselves they can still get the hot young girls to want them. Usually after a while, once they’re over that period of their life, they realize that what they really want and need, they already had in their life.

Eventually, he’ll get disgusted by that kind of life and easy women and he’ll want more for himself, somebody who will be with him on account of the person he is as opposed to the celeb he is.
