There’s nothing like a bit of global-galavanting to make Los Angeles a more habitable place to live and work…
So there I was blogging from my bed at the [cash only] Hotel Du Cap in Antibes, France, going at it with the kitchen, insisting they bring me my bowl of Lucky Charms breakfast cereral right now (I brought them with me, FYI). I know I can almost hear you all shouting, how verrry common of you Seanie!
Anyway, while explaining to the member of staff what exactly Lucky Charms were and who I’d left the box with, I was distracted by the thought of how stunning Brit beauty Rachel Weisz was last night, I mean that girl turns heads (she could possibly even turn me straight, hmm maybe not… Hmm, but maybe…)
Weisz looked every inch the superstar as she sauntered up the red carpet in a green floor length Valentino creation at the Cannes Film Festival. I mean jaws dropped in every direction, literally!
Then Rachel oh-so-casually mentioned that she strips off in her new [brilliant] film Agora, and that she refused a body double (good girl!). Yes, the nude scenes you’ll get to see are 100% her. Hang about, is that the sound of thousands of men (and woman) we can hear speed-dialing the local multiplex for a release date?
Talented actress Rach, who is engaged to American director Darren Aronofsky, plays the 4th century Greek philosopher and astronomer Hypatia in her latest flick and appear naked in two scenes. She told my mate, The Daily Mail’s brilliant and clever Baz Bamigboye that it never even occurred to her to use a body double, but that she was still a bit self-conscious about getting naked.
The mother of 2-year-old Henry said: “I was thinking about baby fat – but I think most of it had gone by the time I went before the cameras.”
Too right! Judging by the image of her in that dress, I don’t think the 38-year-old beauty has got anything to worry about in that department.
Maybe she’ll ‘do a Winslet’ and make stripping off on camera a regular thing. I don’t think her legions of fans would complain, do you? One things for sure, Rach certainly made my bowl of Lucky Charms a lot more enjoyable this morning!
