Are Pete ‘n’ Amy Saying No, No, No? Nope!

Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty launch a song to raise drug awareness – WTF? No, not really, but the hilarious British comedy duo, Matt Lucas and David Walliams have made a damn funny video spoofing the drugged up pair for funnyordie.com

Dressed as ‘Amy’ and ‘Pete’ the comedy pair bring a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘cracking up’ while ‘promoting’ their new single, a cover of the Grange Hill anti-drugs song, Just Say No. They’ve even roped in Dermot O’Leary to play the straight man (love him).

And personally I think they’ve got them spot on. Matt, playing the beehived squawker, keeps screaming ‘BLAAAAAKE’ while David (as a realistically clammy-looking Pete) tells Dermot he’s still going out with ‘that girl, Kate Moss’ but he hasn’t seen her for two and half year because she’s ‘been busy with her modelling’. Brilliant stuff.

But I have to say, David and Matt’s shambolic song performance is still more professional than any gig the real Amy and Pete have done recently!

The vid is part of a series of Rock Profiles by the duo. Their chillingly realistic parody of Katie ‘n’ Pete’s relationship (RIP) has already aired but we’ve still got Gwyneth and Chris, and Cheryl Cole to look forward to. Celebs: you have been warned!
