One of my favorite bands Depeche Mode, caused chaos on Hollywood Boulevard yesterday when they played an outdoor gig for the Jimmy Kimmel Show. 

Twelve thousand fans gathered at the corner of Hollywood and Vine to see the electro rockers crank out forty-five minutes worth of hits including Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence.

Celebs like Chris Martin, British fashion designer - Julia Clancey, Christina Applegate and Jared Leto all watched the band from the side of the stage, and in another quirky Chris Martin link the crowd was the biggest for Kimmel since Coldplay performed for the show in 2003.

LAPD officers were on hand clearing the walkways and keeping the peace, some of old enough to remember the near-riot that broke back in 1990 when the Depeche boys appeared at a West Hollywood record store when promoting the album Violator when fifteen thousand fans showed up for that signing.

Trust us Brits to show the Americans how to rock ‘n’ riot!
