My Night with the “Original” Sienna!
Posted on March 20th, 2009 at 11:09 am by Sean Borg

Last night I attended the birthday bash of gorgeous British actress Sienna Guillory. Sienna has featured in many films over the years from The Time Machine to Eragon, her star is constantly on the rise.
The Party, an informal gathering held at Hollywood hotspot, Bar Deluxe on Cahuenga Boulevard was in full swing by the time I got there. I never like arriving to places on my own, so I brought along my trusty pal, hair stylist Barry Halkides and his good friend, Charles Neal.
I was really looking forward to seeing Sienna, as it’s been a while. LA is one of those places where everyone always means to ‘catch up’ more, but often they don’t, people land jobs then leave town for work and so on, then time kind of passes by. Some would put this down to flakiness and others could argue that one is just simply focused and not going out socially very much, well the latter certainly cannot be said of me that’s for sure…
No sooner had I arrived I made a beeline straight for the belle of the ball who couldn’t be missed, wowing her onlookers in a dazzling 80′s-style shimmering silver Lamé outfit – she looked hot!

There was one funny moment actually, as Sienna and I were doing our big hugs and hellos, I asked where her husband, actor Enzo Cilenti was at, as I did so I looked over at two random guys standing chatting to each other, thinking one of them – either of the two (since they were both similarly dressed) was Enzo, so I began waving at them. I had totally mistaken them BOTH for him. I felt rather silly for a minute as they stared back at me with a kind of ‘who are you’ type of look. However within minutes I had spotted the REAL Enzo, so I quickly covered up my embarrassment, dashing towards him for a chat.
Enzo’s a pretty down to earth no ‘BS’ type of guy, he started dating Sienna in 2000, the couple married in 2002, he was telling me how well life in LA had been treating him and Sienna – that’s good to hear I thought, in this unpredictable city!
Sienna has never been one for mingling with “showbiz lovies”, so you know just what you’re getting with the names on her guest list, which included Stephen Dorff, Lady Victoria Hervey who arrived with film producer Julia Verdin and Jonny Lee-Miller who attended with his adorable wife, actress Michelle Hicks, to name a few.

At the bar I got chatting to Jonny, who funnily enough I worked with back in the day, I believe it was in 1990, when we both had jobs selling T-Shirts at the Hard Rock Cafe in London’s Hyde Park, yes I know it’s hard to picture, but I did.
Whenever I see ‘JLM’ around I always remind him of our days at the Hard Rock by bringing up the same story every time, but this time he reminded ME of a former work colleague called Michelle, a lovely Australian girl who worked with us in the shop. Jonny’s a nice guy, he can be a bit fiery at times or so I’ve heard, but it’s a joy to see him doing so well and how strange that we BOTH ended up living in Hollywood, who’d have thought it back then!
Of course I couldn’t resist texting my party pal, fashion designer Julia Clancey, to invite her along to join me for a little drink or two and to meet Sienna. I am beginning to think I should rename this column Sean Borg Goes LA! (With Julia Clancey), since these days we seem to go “LA!” everywhere together…
Julia and I are a right pair when the two of us get going and of course when ‘fancy Clancey’ arrived my alcohol consumption rose… considerably! I introduced Sienna to Julia and left them chit-chatting about dresses and fashion, I think Sienna would be the perfect muse for Julia’s jaw-dropping creations as she has always had taste, so a perfect match I think!

Actor Stephen Dorff, was in good spirits ordering us drinks at the bar, at one point I remember pinching his bottom when he wasn’t looking then quickly turning away leaving him to think it was Julia who did it, oh dear what have I started!
At that point I realized the booze was going to my head a bit and it was time to make a dignified dash for door. I’d had a great night and I’ll miss Sienna (and Enzo) until the next time. In my opinion there’s only room enough for one “English rose” actress called Sienna in this town, so beware of the cheap imitations. I have always said Sienna has lots to offer Hollywood talent-wise and I have no doubt that this towns awards stages will be calling out her name one day in the not too distant future, I’ll put money on it!
