Missing Dress Turns up on Juliette Lewis at the Oscars!

I overheard this little piece of gossip the other night, one of my good friends, fashion designer Julia Clancey, was left a little gobsmacked when she discovered two of her creations – a dress and a handmade necklace worth $4000 that had gone missing over 9 months ago mysteriously turn up worn by actress Juliette Lewis at a rep carpet event here in LA.
Julia, who has dressed the likes of Paris Hilton, Megan Fox and Jessica Biel, was desperately trying to trace the loaners for almost a year but had virtually given up all hope of having them returned so I hear, until ‘shazam’, as if by magic they reappeared on Lewis when she showed up at Elton John’s Oscar Party last month. I was at the party and saw it all with my own eyes, I remember thinking how stunning Ms. Lewis looked… now I know why!
A close pal of Clancey’s told me last night, “Julia couldn’t believe her eyes when she spotted Juliette wearing the missing pieces in pictures on a photo agency website.”
So I rang Julia to get the scoop and she told me, “My friends in London alerted me when they saw Juliette wearing the dress and necklace in party pictures in various British magazines this week, so I took a look and low and behold there she was, wearing my stuff!”
In writing this piece, Julia has asked me STRESS she is definitely NOT pointing fingers at anybody at this stage, saying, “I am not insinuating Juliette has had anything to do with this, but I would like the items returned and an explanation. I am sure there’s a simple one.” We certainly hope so…
Clancey, known for her ‘fancy’ party frocks, made the news a week ago when she refused to dress glamour girl Jordan for the Oscars, she told news sources, “I had to refuse Katie Price. My dresses have a stylish image and Jordan doesn’t fit in with that.”
Ouch! Well personally I love Katie Price and think she would look fabulous in one of Julia’s gowns, tut, tut! As for Juliette Lewis, message to you honey… I think it’s high time you put Julia Clancey on speed-dial, I think you might have some explaining too do, perhaps?!
