I love seeing my friends doing well, so of course I was thrilled to be invited to last night’s event hosted by the very talented singer and photographer Deborah Anderson, who launched her fine art coffee table book, PAPERTHIN at Minotti on Beverly Boulevard – West Hollywood.

PAPERTHIN is a limited edition release which features erotic laced, sensual black and white images which are a part of a multi dimensional Art installation. Featuring talents such as Minnie Driver, Pink, Fergie, Natasha Hendstridge, Sophie Dahl, Tilda Swinton and of course Deborah.

Deb’s, the daughter of ‘Yes’ frontman John Anderson and I go back years and it was so much fun catching up with her and the old-school ‘LA’ crowd such as film producer Julia Verdin, luxury luggage designer Marc Marmel, writer Louise Ashby and actress Jenny McShane.

Also from the old-school crowd actually was my date for the night, the very glamorous 80′s top model, Julie Anne Rhodes. Former ‘rock wife’ Jewles (as she is nicknamed), now a celebrity chef was once married to Duran Duran’s keyboard player Nick Rhodes and was simply the perfect ‘arm-sugar’ for a do such as this.

Unlike some of the recent, stuffy parties I’ve been to where you are packed like sardines in tiny venues and forced to rub shoulders, er… literally, the Minotti showroom was the ideal place to hold a prestigious event like this, it was classy and large enough to give its guests room to breath.  Fellow party goers included Will & Grace star Eric McCormack, Natasha Henstridge, Minnie Driver, Stacey Dash and former Radio One DJ Lisa I’Anson, where all spotted waiting in line to get their personal copy of PAPERTHIN signed by the dishy Deborah.

Also among the slew of celebs was Simon Cowell’s ex-honey television host, Terri Seymour who was being followed around the bash by Extra TV’s camera crew as she interviewed some of the well-known faces in attendance.

This book also heads the start of an exciting new era that kicks of for Deborah next February when she releases her solo music album ‘Silence’. Deborah told me, “This is an amazing time for me, I couldn’t have dreamed it better.” She added, “To have coffee table book like PAPERTHIN has been my ambition for as long as I can remember, but I can’t wait for the release of my new album next year as that’s my true love!” She said.

‘Silence’ by Deborah Anderson debuts February 10, 2009.
